Didn't I Just Feed You - Introcast Campaign - August 2022

by DIJFY
Campaign schedule: Aug 29, 2022 (open-ended)

Didn’t I Just Feed You is a candid weekly podcast about feeding our families -- because, wow, kids need to eat a lot. And frequently too! Armed with culinary prowess earned from over 20 years as food professionals and practical, non-judgmental advice shaped in the parenting trenches, co-hosts Stacie and Meghan make life as the family cook easier. Or at least funnier.

Example Script & Talking Points

Below is an example structure for the 2-3 minute Introcast episode, but please feel free to adapt it in any way that fits with your show's own authentic style!

INTRO
Hey, it's {your name} here because I'm excited to tell you a podcast I've been listening to called Didn't I Just Feed You.
- Didn't I Just Feed You is a weekly candid conversation about feeding our families even for parents like me who hate to cook
- Hosts Stacie Billis & Meghan Splawn are two food professionals who get real about feeding kids, tweens and teens, because we're also very busy working moms. Sometimes we even talk about how to feed ourselves (imagine that!).
- From how to turn nachos into a legit family dinner to the magic of meatballs, solving the after school snack problem, to reducing kitchen waste and debt all at once, the show has guests from Food Network stars to everyday moms (the real experts).

TRAILER
Here's a 1 minute trailer from Stacie and Meghan which will give you a feel for how they are making cooking easier, more delicious, and maybe even a little bit fun?

OUTRO CALL TO ACTION

OTHER TALKING POINTS (feel free to choose some of these to weave in if helpful)
- DIJFY is a top 30 Apple food podcast, and the only food podcast made with parents in mind.
- Stacie & Meghan have been food editors and recipe developers for over 25 years between them and know, first hand, that despite the glut of food media, parents struggle to get food on the table every single day. Whether because of food insecurity, a stretched thin budget or schedule, or a lack of shared responsibility in the kitchen (so common!), Stacie & Meghan focus solving common kitchen problems in a non-judgemental way. They're not here to tell you how to eat or what's best for your family. Only you know that; they just want to help get you there quickly, affordably, and hopefully with some joy.
- Stacie Billis is a cookbook author, who's latest publication is the must-have WINNER! WINNER! CHICKEN DINNER: 50 WINNING WAYS TO COOK IT UP!
- Meghan Splawn is a food editor at Kitchn.com, where you can regularly find her recipes.
