When embroiled in his first ever controversy, Seth is completely ill-equipped to navigate D.C.’s political treachery. Not a fan
I tried to get into this, but it just wasn’t very interesting to me. It just seemed to be some kind of press for a specific kind of political ideology. I’m sure some people like that but for me I was just looking for an entertaining podcast.

    Awful
    Wow…..just awful.

Totally agree with the politics, but the podcast… not great
First off- my poor review isn’t due to the politics of this show. I totally agree with them. But the show seems to be just a series of similar conversations with a guy saying “I have a crazy idea! But maybe, maybe it just might work!” Without any further explanation on how it might work. It’s literally just that, repeated over and over with different people gasping and saying “that’s a crazy idea! Whaaat!”. It’d be a lot better if yall went in depth about **how** giving a million dollars to every citizen would help the country. Because that would get the listener invested in the idea. Otherwise it just feels like you’re listening to some self righteous dude with an undiagnosed personality disorder blow up at people in order to make himself feel like a tortured political genius. And just when you think they might describe how it would work, they don’t.

    It’s really not good.
I wanted to enjoy this show. Got thru two episodes and gave up. The production quality is terrible, and the actors all sound like they’re struggling.

    Almost made it through
I’m a big fan of “The West Wing”, so I was hoping for a similar story. I think the potential for one is there, but there are so many ads for products, recaps, teasers for the next ep, and other podcasts and commentary from the creators that I honestly could not discern when the actual narrative started and stopped. I made it to Ep 5 but just quit. A good idea is there, but presentation is distractingly disjointed.

    Too much filler
I enjoyed the story, but episodes that were already very short were half filled with ads, recaps, commentary. Made for a very annoying listen. Should have just been released as a single episode if that’s all the content they have.

    Great Show
I’m not a big fan of scripted podcast shows. However, this show is phenomenal and addictive. Heard the entire first season in one night and found the dialogue well written. Wonderful job on the show.
  • Kikofrn
    Unrealistic economics
Preachy and basic. Also each episode only has around 7 minutes of new content.

    Disappointing
Big fan of Patrick Adams, but this was just a lame series.

I really wanted to like it
But boy was that a letdown. I love the cast, the actors were the reason I listened to the whole thing, but wow the writing left something to be desired. It felt like a script from a brand new out of college writer. The story lines were predictable and stale. I wanted more conflict, to know more about this million dollar idea so I could really root for it. It sounds like a pie in the sky concept that the listener is just expected to go along with with no real context. I’m so bummed, there was such potential and it fell so flat.

Love this! Congrats to the whole team on this. Would be a really fun series. Great characters, plot and both fun and motivating. When do we get more?

    Amazing!
The concept behind the story is fascinating and the production value is incredible! It’s a must listen for anyone who loves a good political drama!! Please bring it back for a season 2!

    A really great show
This is reminiscent of the old radio shows that our grand parents used to talk about. The acting is amazing which aligns well with a good story. The episodes are Short so you’ll be able to binge watch a season on your morning commute if you live in LA.

    Idealistic but idiotic
The brilliant plan is as fantastical and ignorant of real world economics as any of Paul Ryan’s fantasies. And I like the idea of universal basic income. Instead of hashing out any details or trying to convince you of its merits, like the West Wing show that this show would like to be an inferior facsimile of, it pretends that this plan and this protagonist is right by dint of being anointed as such by the writers. Turn you brain off if you should like to continue with this show.

Feels short. Episode wise and season wise. Wish it was longer. Love Patrick and Autumn

    TV for your ears
I haven’t listened to radio theatre shows since I was a kid. This is great. Knowing some of the characters (by face) America 2.0 spurs the imagination - a wonderful return to seeing with your ears. The new Washington comes to life. I am anxiously awaiting for episode 6 but at the same time wishing this would not end so soon.
  • Ilwelli
    Excellent
This entire podcast is great and Patrick J Adams has become my favorite actor. Patrick is a brilliant actor with a great deal of talent! Weather on TV or in a podcast you can tell he loves what he does and does it well.

    Tired of the old?
I’m constantly looking for new podcasts and it’s hard to find new material that’s worth my time. I’m a big fan of political podcasts and America 2.0 just brought all of my favorites together: politics, fiction, Patrick J. Adams, creative economic thinking, and a pod actually worth your time. And before you read the partisan filled garbage reviews that I’ve seen out there here’s the scoop: Seth McGuire is a left-leaning Democrat who believes in denuclearization, climate change, and coming up with an interesting economic policy to help the middle class and lower income families that can’t quite get themselves afloat. This is not an anti-Republican pod; in fact, Seth wants to talk to the other party to work together to fix America. This is a new (fictional) take on a lot of talk that’s going on in our real-world politics. Take a listen!
  • BP AuD
    Totally surprised
At how much I immediately was routing for Seth and how interesting it is to see the story build! Totally hanging on to the last word of every episode!

Bad Political Ideas but awesome Podcast
I love Suits and Podcasts. So this is a convenient and entertaining podcast for me. Hate the politics and the hyperbole, however the flow of the story is good. Constant mystery. Very short.

    West Wing in Podcast format
If you love The West Wing, you’ll LOVE this podcast.

    Captivating!
Very well written. I wish the episodes were longer. Perhaps if it gets more ratings this could become a full series. Tell your friends!!

    Beyond Refreshing
Such a great concept, believably conceivable! Well-scripted, well-played and well-casted. Characters are convincing! Love the theme music ... reminiscent of the West Wing: Powerful, like our government should be. Really hope there are more! Would love a TV series ... the time is ripe.
  • Jfisherman
    Need more episodes
I listen to a lot of podcasts but this is my first episodic fiction. I can really see this becoming a great TV show. Love the writing and the production. I listen to each episode immediately once it’s released. Highly recommend.
  • sabine_loves_me
    Fantastic
I want more! Great storyline, production and acting!
  • Kalebbn
Would have made a great one episode show
This would have been great if they took each 15 minute episode, cut out the 4 minutes of intro and outro, combined the middle 7 minutes of each episode to create a single 1 hour episode story.

Can this please be made into a tv show?
LOVING this podcast. Smart, funny and I am already in love with Patrick’s character, Seth.

    Leftest Lovefest
The creators believe that “politics can bring us together” as they write right wing caricatures and strawmen. The writing is extremely preachy and just hits talking points.

Hottest Podcast In The Country - Brilliant
America 2.0 is nothing short of brilliant!! The best political serial since The West Wing!! The writing, the directing, the casting, and the score are all spot on, and the performances from some of today’s hottest stars are epic!! Do yourself a favor and subscribe to this podcast and give it a listen!! Fingers crossed that we get a second season, or better yet, an actual TV series in the future!! #RebootingAmerica #VoteForSeth

Love this show. Great writing. Great acting. I’m so glad I heard about it from a Laurence Fishburn interview on another podcast!

    Pandering stupidity
Take the episodes of west wing that didn’t work, distill their worst parts, and put them in podcast form—it would still be better than this.
  • Mrjonga
    Amazing show!
It keeps me engaged and wanting more. I can’t wait for the next episode!

A refreshing outlook in dark times
We need this!! The current political climate is bleak and dark. Instead of binging The West Wing listen to America 2.0. Seems like solidarity is the start.
  • Gina not Gyna
    Good, but too short!
Digging it so far, but the episodes are way too short for a six part series!
