    Holy commercials
This is probably the worst produced podcast I’ve ever come across in my life. The amount of commercials is a complete joke. I can’t even think of a scenario where one would be able to listen to the podcast. You’re constantly having to grab your phone and fast forward. No one is listening to that garbage. My God, most annoying commercials too. it’s like they went out of their way to find the most cringe and annoying commercials. but honestly, how much more money do you really need Dr. Laura?

    Love finding Dr. Laura again.
I’ve been a fan of Dr. Laura for 30 years. I love listening to the call of the day, but I agree with others say about the length and amount of ads. It too much. 😔

I Don’t Have Big Problems but She Still Helps.
Even though I’ve achieved my most important goals in life Laura still helps me. In particular we all have family members that test us and I feel more prepared when that happens. Besides the help the show is really entertaining.

Love love love this podcast…. BUT…
I love this podcast and LOVE Dr. Laura… but the advertisements are enough… almost can’t stand an episode due to the advertisements. Make a premium option that allows NO advertisements, in exchange for a fee.

Great to find her podcast again. Started listening on radio in 90’s, she’s been great for helping get past excuses and me taking ownership of my behaviors. Nice to reconnect digitally on Apple Podcasts. Her perspective is a good balance to all the “newer” relationship and life podcasts. Thank you, Doctor!!

    True & No nonsense advice
I’ve read a few reviews saying how rude Dr. Laura is or comes across. The reality is that life is often complicated and requires some really hard choices and Dr. Laura holds her callers feet to the fire when faced with hard issues. Furthermore, moral convictions often involve standing up for the right thing and this at times means hurting other’s feelings. It’s unavoidable. We can’t please everyone all the time and at times we need to stand up to our friends, our mom, our sister, our daughter, our son.. when they are behaving immorally. Dr Laura is really good at laying it on the line and asserting her point to stand up for the right principles.

    Skip this one
I don’t write reviews— but was taken aback by this one. Mean spirited, arrogant, and close minded host. There are much better resources out there— skip this one and keep on searching.

    my favorite part
i love Dr Laura & have been a fan since the 90s. My favorite part of a call is hearing the change in someone’s voice. When they first call, they are stressed—once they listen to her advice, their whole tone changes! I love it! I’ve gotten ready to call Dr Laura many times, but her other calls have answered my questions. I have to accept my Mother the way she is. I can’t be mad that she caters to my half-sister. Just go on with my life & love the life that my husband has provided me! End of story.

Be a professional! Sirius radio and Podcast should be no excuse to curse at and call derogatory names to a person who could be suffering, depressed, one/ir suicidal. Then again it’s a free call. Please go to a legit therapist.

Dr Laura helped me raise a perfect son
Well, almost perfect. I’ve been a listener for over 40 years. I have used Dr Laura‘s advice many times as a single mom and the result is that I have a fantastic, well adjusted, respectful, hard-working, grateful 54-year-old son. he’s a wonderful husband and a fabulous father, not to mention a super groovy son.

Stop combining full episodes with daily clips and deep dive!
I pay monthly directly to Dr. Laura for subscription. When I click the link on the website to listen on Apple podcasts, it takes me to a Dr. Laura full episodes podcast. Great! Unfortunately, they set it up or somehow it gets converted and combined with the daily clips and deep dive podcast, which has a different image. Within a day I stopped getting any updates of the full episodes and only get the daily clips filled with advertisements. I’d have to Unfollow the show completely and start all over again from the website. Please separate these podcasts. The private one with full episodes, should not directly drag me into the daily.

Whenever you need to escape the insanity that the world has become today
Edited to add on to old review below: I am LOVING the Deep Dive episodes! Keep it up Doctor! Still my inspiration 💙 I found Dr. Laura about 8 years ago after using a Sirius trial on a new car. I initially was flabbergasted by what I heard, as a millennial in the 21st century. I started to listen while in traffic to get a good laugh. After a few shows I realized that I was agreeing with nearly every take she had on things. After I got rid of Sirius I absolutely HAD to subscribe to her podcast. Ever since I’ve been a part of the Dr. Laura family and listen to her often, especially when I need to clean my palate from some ridiculous thing that’s happening out there or when I need to restore brain cells after other podcasts. She is a treasure and I wish more people in my age group would listen to her and value themselves. Thank you Dr. Laura. We must protect you at all costs 💙

Highly recommend to anyone that will listen!
I’ve been listening to Dr. Laura, I swear, as long as I’ve been alive. My mom listened when she was on WJR in Detroit, I was around 4 or 5 (I’m now 30), and she and I both still listen to this day. I’ve gifted the proper care and feeding of husbands book to friends and have read it more than twice because a refresher never hurts! This podcast is my go to when Dr. Laura isn’t on air and I love getting these because there’s such a variety of topics. I also adore her deep dive because sometimes I want more of her insight on a particular topic. Thank so much for all that you do!

    (unedifying) entertainment, not helpful counsel
Listened to two episodes briefly and this show seems to be more about shock value and drama and chewing people out as opposed to taking the time to listen to folk and give them compassionate and contextual wisdom. Go somewhere else if you want real counsel and wisdom.

    Commercials and rude
Don’t get me wrong because I love Dr Laura, she’s amazing, but…. sometimes she comes off as impatient with callers which is borderline rude and disrespectful. Also, for a 5 minute podcast, it is interrupted by 2 commercials, which will ruin her ratings. I’m just trying to be helpful because I have enjoyed her shows in the past, and hate to see her fail.

    BE CAUTIOUS
So, I have never heard of Dr. Laura until last week when I stubbled upon a podcast about a mother fed up with her son. I decided to call in to see what her thoughts were on my situation. Listen, don’t call this show if you are looking for a therapy session. She’s a very impatient, cut throat and rude person. Now, there was a couple of nuggets I took away (which I already knew, she just confirmed) but resulting to name calling was a bit much. She shushed me for agreeing with her statements, which I did, and said that I was people pleasing. Then proceeded to call me a coward because I had thoughts on reconciling with my father. Thank GOD i have worked hard in therapy over the last year and know that I’m not. That I’m in the best place mentally concerning the situation. My curious self was “entertained” by her and thought “what the heck, I’ll call!” There’s just simply no grace here. I kept thinking “what if I was depressed and suicidal and this women called me a coward”. Proceeded to tell me that I could not forgive my dad. Please be careful and seek therapy. Stop listening to her religiously.

    We Need More Common Sense
Dr. Laura is a wise, strong, amazing woman who has helped myself and other immensely! The truth hurts sometimes but we all need to hear it! Thank you Dr. Laura for all of your wisdom and advice!

Only listens to the sound of her own voice
I grew up listening to Dr Laura and had a lot of respect for her. It took a lot of courage for me to call about a situation I was in. Without even being able to explain my situation enough for someone to give sound advice she interrupted me and called me inappropriate names. I was calling about a situation with my MIL. Is that truly something a qualified therapist should do? I walked away with zero clarity or advice from a so called “professional”. Sounds like she has some personal anger issues to sort out before continuing to give others advice. Will no longer be listening to or following her. She gets triggered and off put by people situations and it bleeds into the next phone call. After going to therapy my entire life I can say that a good therapist is able to emotionally remove personal trauma and issues from a clients, she’s clearly not able to do that and you can tell. She doesn’t care for her clients best interest or to get the full story. The first thought that comes to her mind is the one she sticks with. I couldn’t get a word out and she hung up on me , how is that a constructive conversation with a therapist who won’t listen. What kind of advice is that? She’s lost it.

Enjoy Dr Laura most of the time
But she often speaks in generalization's like “everyone & nobody” when lecturing women about dealing with difficult men. As if all men that cheat, abandon and/or abuse their wives, must have a an acceptable reason. I find that insulting & narrow minded.. which I DO NOT believe Dr L is narrow minded.. I think she’s very wise & successful. I also think that while it’s true, both spouses make mistakes in marriage that may lead one or both to be unfaithful. Infidelity is a Biblical betrayal of the marriage vows. Spouses gaining weight, not earning enough money, or not keeping the house tidy- these are not betraying the Biblical marriage vows. So when Dr L says that “having an affair is viewed as worse than the things not done correctly“ I find that puzzling. And wonder why nobody calls her out on it? Certainly she would afford her callers the same respect that she demands.. 🤔

    Sensitive
Sometimes the truth hurts. It’s too bad we raised multiple generations of weak people. When you’ve helped 10% of the people this woman has then your opinion might count for something. Until then turn it off and get back in your bubble.

    Have to sort through ideas
I used to be a regular listener. I did not believe every idea DL presented, but I did like that she seemed to be supportive of women as to not be shamed out of motherhood as many women were in the 70’s, 80’s, and even today by not just men but by woman too. It is unreal how a stay at home (house manager) mother is still scrutinized on “what do you do all day?” DL seems a proponent of not emasculating men which society had leaned towards for awhile, but I think DL has not clearly explained why such would happen as women have been Minimized or equivalently emasculated into having less power. Maybe the journey/struggle to restore a balance of power is what temporarily asked men to take a step back. Anyways, she is appealing to many power hungry abusive men who claim they are “emasculated”. Trust, respect, balance, and growth are more appealing to me, but I will have to search for that podcast. Seriously, ask yourself how you feel after listening to several calls. Found myself in a bad mood most times.

    She’s a psycho
I listened to the most recent episode about school bullies and I am flabbergasted at the advice she gave callers. Stating the obvious, she interrupts callers which I find to be very rude and borderline narcissistic. I remember listening to her when I was a kid (bc my mom would have this nutcase on the radio in the car) and being disgusted as a child at how rude she was. Her idea of how to handle bullies is so black/white and simplistic. Yelling at a bully isn’t going to stop the problem. It truly only eggs them on. She highly endorses getting physical and backs that statement up with this backwards chauvinistic thought that “that’s how men handle things.” She proceeded to tell a story about how her son defended a kid who was being bullied (that’s great, seriously) but went on to say she had to send her husband to the school to talk to the principal bc if she went, she would have punched the principal. What?! Why? Why is Dr Laura so incapable of having an adult convo w/o the physical violence? The final straw was her mention of a movie with Channing Tatum about overthrowing the President because he made a decision to remove all troops from foreign countries. Apparently, she was disgusted by the people in the movie who were mad at those wanting to overthrow the president. Awesome. We have an unhinged so called therapist on a national podcast advocating for people to over throw the President if he makes a bad decision, for children to run around punching everyone and adults to punch school administrators if you don’t agree with them. This woman is out of her mind. She needs to have the mic removed, her therapist license revoked and sent in for an evaluation. She’s not well.

    Love the advice..too many commercials
I’ve always loved listening to your advice. I was so happy when I found your podcast. Absolutely too many commercials. And they are on repeat. You can’t even get through a call when a commercial blasts through. Stop playing the same commercial During the podcast.

    Oof.
What an aggressive opinionated person who doesn’t give callers a chance to speak and explain their situation. What a way to make people feel small who are already going through something tough. Bummer that so many people listen to this

Refreshing in today’s culture of ignoring responsibility and honor. Thank you, Dr. Laura, for helping me be a better wife, mother, and human.

    Frantic Therapist
I called Dr. Laura about getting over my ex. I was nervous being on the radio. Instead of giving me a chance to explain myself because of my nervousness. She was frantic, and then told one of her people to hang up on me. She didn’t even give me a chance to speak to explain it to where it makes more sense. Regular Therapist without a national radio program would not have done that. Maybe being on the radio for so long she become dismissive to here audience.

    Rude and unhelpful
I listened to one episode and that was more than enough. She was rude and condescending, and she kept interrupting instead of letting the caller finish a sentence. Don’t listen if you actually enjoy being a working mom. This woman thinks you’re selfish, a bad mom, and you shouldn’t have had kids.

The best advice and straight to the point
You are fantastic. I love how you are so no nonsense. The nanny, babysitters, lack of parenting I hear coming from your callers explains why kids are the way they are. Everyone wants a quick fix and so many wan kids, but do not want to take responsibility, accountability for their children’s behavior. Keep doing what you’re doing! God bless.

There is no need to yell.
I have been dipping my toes into this show. I’m listening to “My Sex Life is Unsatisfying,” and I’m deeply alarmed and disturbed that the host literally SCREAMED twice at the caller who was speaking gently and vulnerably. That is absolutely unacceptable and not OK. Competent adults don’t need to raise their voice for no reason. Don’t yell at people.

    I love the callers who
Say they have been listening to her for decades but still do the OPPOSITE of what she has been saying for years. She is such a MAGA too, so no thanks

    Sponsors of her COD podcast
I’ve listened to her show for years, and now I listen to the COD while washing dishes. I know her viewpoints on almost everything she has spoken of in the last ten years or so. She is very, very against daycare. I am a SAHM and have been for 16 years because that’s what is best for our four kids. Many times we struggle and if I were to go back to work it would be beneficial monetarily, but not beneficial for our kids so I stay home. Here is where my issue comes in to play. For the last month or so one of her sponsors has been The Goddard School. Why would she choose a daycare/preschool as a sponsor while bashing any parent who places their kids in daycare? Help me understand that hypocrisy. Love her advice over the years and follow a lot of what she says. I am my husband’s girlfriend and my kids mom. But I can no longer support her show by listening. The blatant hypocrisy is glaring. What’s next, an abortion clinic while bashing women who choose to have an abortion?
