Jokester

It is impossible to take a pastor serious who uses the solo occasion of a prayer to insert a joke about praying for a sports team. It is not funny. But it does reflect his view of God and the Bible end of the church. It is impossible to imagine the apostle Paul or Peter doing the same thing, to use prayer as an attempt to tell a joke.If this pastor holds prayer in such a low view, so too, is his view of the Bible and of God of Jesus Christ. Such pastors like this should be drowned in the sea.

Pandering to the masses

Judah seems to be more interested in promoting himself than the gospel. He has become more current culture political than anything. Seems to be doing it for the accolades. More self serving than selfless.

I get it

So having a church in Seattle these days can be a bit of a tightrope walk. I get it. But God doesn’t need His message of salvation to be sidelined for the topic of the day. I hope Ps. Smith will do more research behind the agenda that is now destroying our country. For now I will be passing on this podcast which is sad since I have been a listener since 2008ish.

Judah Smith is Great but lately has become more of a social justice warrior looking at one side of the story. God loves all and is just and merciful.

I’ve been listening to and encouraged by Judah Smith consistently since early 2012, but these last few months have moved so far into the social justice realm that I have to take a break. At some point, being called a racist every week because of my skin color is no longer a gospel message. I hope to come back to these podcasts soon.

Judah is literally my favorite preacher. One thing I LOVE about him is he’s a humble preacher. He always uses things like “I would like to suggest.” He never uses like definitive statements that a lot of preachers use out of arrogance of them feeling like they know the Bible concretely! He’s funny, deep, and EVERY podcast is good news man. So good! You won’t be disappointed!

I listen to these sermens while I am at work to keep my thoughts on God and make my day more positive. Judah is, mostly, humble and preaches the word of God from the Bible with a fair mingling of humorous stories. It would me nice if the shows were posted on a regular basis though.

Such a Blessing

I live in Seattle and try my best to visit the City Church every Sunday but if I happen to miss it or feel as though I need a little more Jesus in my life- I go straight to this podcast. Judah is so phenomenal and so passionate about God. His love for Jesus is inspiring and uplifting. There's no such thing as too much Judah Smith :) Enjoy!

The podcast is great. It is one of the weekly podcasts that I listen to. My only problem, is out of the podcasts that I listen to, this one’’s volume is really soft. Typically I have to have my headphones and computer turned all the way up.
