Always Push Past Your Original Position. This pod is certainly for any current or past competitive wrestler. Well done and just what our sport needs.

    The good stuff
I just found this podcast and I'm working my way through the back log now. So many interesting interviews with people we wouldn't normally hear from. Richard Immel is the man!
  • pantherwrestling
    Awesome Podcast!
Richard does a great job hosting this podcast and interacting with his guests. He will do anything to further USA Wrestling and the sport as a whole. Appreciate the work Immel!
  • Claunchinator
    Smooth
I can honestly say that this is both entertaining and educational. It combines my favorite things in life. Wrestling, podcasts, BDI, and the top athletes. Richard is great at building relationships in the wrestling community and you can hear the genuine connection between him and the athletes he interviews. My only complaint is that we don't hang out enough. I miss your musk. Rock on. Claunchinator

    BEST wrestling podcast
Richard Immel does such a great job in this podcast. Great guests, great questions, but most importantly he makes it about USA wrestling and not himself. It's a tough thing to do as a host, and he nails it. Always a great day when this podcast pops up in my feed. Follow @USAwrestling and @Richard_Immel for this best podcast in our sport!

    So Happy!
I wrestled for 10 years and now have coached for 4 and am in love with this sport! I am also in love with a man who knows NOTHING about wrestling, until this podcast!!! When he comes to tournaments to support me and the team he actually understands references, knows whats going on, and enjoys the sport almost as much as I do. Thank you Bonus Points!!! Now all we need to work on is changing him from a Packers fan to a Bears fan :D
  • Matty Little
    Great stuff but
The questions and guests are great, but the mood is so blah. Richard needs caffeine and a cohost.
  • GUTPILEZ
    Outstanding!!
Being a parent and Coach, I'm constantly evaluating the psychology of this sport. I can't think of a better way to get into the mind of a Champion. Well done!! One thing I'd like to see you add to the podcast is questions about their youth in Wrestling. 1- If you could go back in time, what are the 3 things you'd tell yourself to make you a better wrestler? 2- What was the main ingredient that kept you wrestling as a kid? 3- what were a couple of negatives you dealt with in wrestling, and how did you overcome them? 4- What is the best trait you've developed because of Wrestling? 5- What advise would you like to give every Parent and Coach that influenced you to be where you are today? Once again, thank you for the work you put into this podcast. It is very much appreciated.

Those headphones gave me the best warm up of my life yeah I'd piss my coaches off by blaring the hell out of them but They were stolen at the Ohio state wrestling tournament when I sat them next to my bag while doing my warm up and I didn't notice until after my placing match so please help me out

    Love the Interview!
It's so awesome hearing from the United States' best men/women Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers. Getting into their heads leading up to and after major competitions is great! Great job, USA Wrestling and Richard Immel!!!
  • Mr. Abraham
    The positive wrestling show
If you really enjoy amateur wrestling, you'll like this podcast, especially if you like Freestyle and Greco. Since it is the official "USA Wrestling" podcast, Richard gets all kinds of interviews with our top athletes - and that's awesome. I'm not sure if they will get into much folkstyle now that Worlds is over, but I hope they do. It really is a "positive" podcast, which isn't a bad thing. I'm not saying they don't do a decent job of honestly assessing things, but they tend to stay away from negative stuff, which is a shame because that's all part of it. People want to hear what USA Wrestling thinks about certain topics, but this show has not yet been the platform for that kind of thing. Keep up the good work!
  • Dan Althouse
    Great content
Richard is a great host- let's keep these coming! More junior/cadets like Spencer Lee would be a nice angle, in addition to all the senior medalists
