@ericawcantleyEssential Food World Listening!!Shari Bayer’s “All in the Industry” is about to air its 350th episode! If someone (aspiring chef, food writer, self-proclaimed “foodie”) wants a comprehensive course on who’s who and what’s been happening in the food & hospitality world since 2019 (and an excellent dose of history from the past 25 years Shari’s been in the industry) they need look no further than this podcast!! Case in point: if you want some tasty morsels from the past, check out episode 338 where Shari rebroadcasts her interview with the late great Gael Greene (episode 150). Gael was a huge reference point for me growing up in the business, and I learned A LOT I didn’t know. “All in the Industry’s” winning recipe of Shari’s PR tip, industry news, in-depth guest interview, and speed round questions keeps it fun and really makes you feel like you know her guest by the end of the show.

Adrian69690Mostly good guests, annoying deliverySome top chefs and personalities interviewed however the sound quality and delivery have much to be desired. The host sounds like she’s bored and her voice is super annoying. Not sure why people would listen to this apart from the sometimes well known guests...

Davey EllenAll in the industryI have been listening to All in the Industry since it began 5 years ago and have learned a lot about the hospitality industry. All the podcasts have been interesting and informative. Each show starts off with Shari saying: “well hello! Shari has a sweet voice and makes her guests comfortable so they tell us of their background and how they became a force in the hospitality industry. The show’s format is wonderful. Each show starts with a PR Tip that applies to public relations, the show’s guest and all the listeners. We then listen to a discussion about the career and current activity of an intriguing guest telling his or her story. Next comes Shari’s speed round game, which simply asks the guest to quickly choose between dining choices. It is funny how often guests can not select between eating in and eating out, or cheese plate or dessert. Industry news discusses timely topics in the hospitality industry. Shari’s solo dining experience is a review of a restaurant with Shari’s insights and fun facts. And then Shari says: “and that’s the show”! Shari has now completed 222 shows. I continue to look forward to a new show each week. I give All in the Industry 5 stars.

Matthew lo hdhNew TwistShari brings a new twist to getting people to do what they love most . . . talk about themselves. Her positivity and support toward those in the industry drive her guests to open up, making for great radio. An added bonus is Shari's PR tips, which are meaningful and insightful, and which apply to not only those in the industry, but also to the layperson.

IJustLikeToEatBridging the GapIt’s rare to discover a program — radio or otherwise -- that is as educational for a layperson as it is for a seasoned pro. Shari bridges this gap beautifully. Her uniquely approachable format offers a wealth of wisdom, tips and insights for anyone and everyone who cooks, serves, packages and/or eats food. I learn something new every time I tune in; always with a smile on my face and a rumbling in my stomach to try something new!

JulieEatDrinkGreat Guests and Great Conversation!Shari has a terrific talent for getting a wide array of restaurateurs, chefs, event producers, purveyors, media, and so on from NYC and beyond. She delves into the behind the scenes of the industry and gives you an inside perspective into the business of food! I especially like the Solo Dining segment and Speed Round. Shari ties the episodes together with guests asking questions to future guests which is fun. A "must listen" for industry professionals and people wanting to find out more about the hospitality industry!

Marissa 17Behind the Scenes GemShari Bayer’s program is a delightful look “behind the scenes” at some of the hospitality industry’s best talent. From her thoughtful commentary to the entertaining lightning round Q&A, Shari captures the heart of each guest speaker’s passion in this industry and reveals fun tidbits about their insight. She does her homework and provides a fresh look at the latest industry news, engaging her speakers’ perspective on the hot topics as well. Highly recommend checking out!

SnacktruckInformative & DelightfulI've listen to many podcasts and this is one of my favorites. I highly recommend it for anyone who's into food and have interest in the restaurant industry. Shari has a knack with Q & A, keeping the guest and listeners engaged, a 45 minutes session will just fly by. I usually listen to it when "on the go." Check it out - it's truly delightful.

RCF305Just when you thought you knew it all...This program is consistently great at pulling back the curtain so listeners can better understand what leaders in the hospitality industry are doing and where they came from. I have found Shari’s interviews to be informative and probing. She is truly interested in hearing her guest’s perspectives on the industry and allows them ample time to answer her well thought-out questions. She clearly understands her industry and knows how to bring out the best in her guests. I thought I knew many of the guests she has featured on her show well, and yet I always walk away with a much better understanding of why they are leaders in the hospitality industry after experiencing Shari’s programs. I highly recommend this podcast.
-
Artistic PlateGreat look behind the food sceneWhat a fabulous weekly journey behind the food scene to learn about the people who make it! Shari's interviewing style lets her guests tell their stories. Then her speed round game brings out additional information about what her guests like. Her solo dining reviews are unique and interesting.
-
FoodiefirstLearn somethingEvery time I listen to this show I learn about a behind the scenes skill I hadn't even thought of. Really fun! The solo dining reviews are great too.
