This Podcast Is So Helpful / Question !!
Hello! My name is Madison Crawford (insta: Madimayy) and I just want to say how much this podcast has helped me improve my acting career especially the helpful tips you give. I listen to you everyday while at work! Thank you for dedicating your time to help our community of actors. My question for you is how should we maintaining relationships with Casting directors/ how we should send our information to them? Is having relationships with CDs and sending your headshots/ resumes to them definitely something we should do to help us book gigs? Thank you!

I’ve found a class that works for my schedule and it’s helped me gain confidence in my acting. So thank you so much Sean, Roxy, and Jeff! Please continue!! So a little update. I expedited my 2 year plan to move to LA and made made move 2 months ago. I started classes at Playhouse, and I have learned so much. I was even able to thank Sean in person my second week in Playhouse! It has been an awesome experience so far and I have y’all to thank for it honestly!

    My new fav podcast!!!
This podcast is a game changer for aspiring actors and fans of the craft alike! I’ve always wanted to act and have just started pursuing it in the past year or so, largely because of listening to this podcast. Sean’s awesome advice & expertise, Roxy’s input and great questions and Jeff’s perspective as a writer all come together to make this the perfect master class on acting. I have my first audition coming up in 2 weeks and I would love any and all advice for a newcomer! Thanks again for creating this awesome & inspirational show, keep up the great work. 😊

Great podcast for anyone! Knowledgeable and entertaining hosts!
Absolutely love this podcast! A couple from my acting class referred me to this podcast and I’ve been listening since. It has been such a great guide and support during all last year which was my first year stepping into acting. I knew right away who Sean was since I have loved him since People under the stairs and have become a fan of Roxy and Jeff as well! I love seeing and hearing from both sides of someone who’s been acting for a long time as well as the honest questions that Roxy asks during the show from someone getting more into acting. Love the guest that have come on and I really hope this podcast stays on for a long time! A question I have which I know may have kind of been answered during the beginning self care shows is something that I’ve been struggling with which is an obvious hinder: Any other tips for someone who really struggles with getting out of their own head and anxiety/nervousness of “being seen” in front of others to be able to deliver? Or to help with letting go and confidence in general? Is this something that just takes times that a lot of actors may struggle with? Or Sean have you worked with any students ever who just couldn’t get over this? Thank you both! Love from San Diego ❤️ Ps would be great to have a workshop from you through my acting class down here! Thank you, Amanda @amandasometimes

    Very informative. A Must Listen.
Tremendous podcast. As an aspiring actor, I find this podcast to be very informative and at times inspirational. The perspectives offered by Roxy Striar and Jeff Graham are great. It's so cool to see Roxy grow as a performer and book more and more jobs, while Jeff speaks on the background work he use to do. Keep up the awesome work.

    Not just for actors
I have no serious plans to become an actor, but I still enjoy this show. I have many friends who are producers, writers, directors, actors, etc. and I find the behind the scenes stuff interesting. Sean Whalen & Roxy Striar provide great advice for actors, but it is also a good look at the process behind movies & tv shows.

    Pod Bless Sean
Here’s the deal: Sean Whalen is teaching a workshop at my acting studio soon, which is how I learned of this podcast. Being a 16-year-old with no source of income, the workshop seems out of my reach. But after one listen to this podcast? I’m frantic to find a way to attend. FRANTIC, I tell you. Like, begging-my-parents-for-cash-in-vain frantic. If you’re an actor, or simply want to be one, this is a must-listen without a doubt. Sean is down to Earth, honest, and REAL. This man’s famous noggin is clearly stuffed with knowledge only a true professional could have - the exact kind of knowledge any actor will crave. The way he teaches in this delight of a pod is easily digestible and worth every second of listening - he has the vibe of an experienced friend giving you advice on thriving in that oh-so-intimidating machine we call The Business. Please, actors, give your sweet ears the treat of soaking in this dire information. They deserve it. Trust me, you’ll find yourself re-listening again and again. Did I only discover this podcast yesterday? ...Yes. Did I have way to much fun writing this review? Yeah, of course. Am I overhyping the show? Absolutely not. Listen to the dang ‘cast. Peace out.
