I was hesitant to listen to JW interview bc apparently, years after leaving, I still feel so protective of my ex religion and my family members still there. (Ex JWs know what I refer to as ‘apostasy’). I worked myself up to it and on the way related to you and so many of your guests, After years of being told we were SO different from the rest, I realized it’s the same load of crap in different covers. This has been an incredible help to me and so many others (maybe that’s why Rainn’s price is so high lol).

I am an active religious person and it brings me happiness. Through PREACH I see differences and similarities and helps me understand why others struggle with religion. I can see it’s not one size fits all. I hear in the interviews the same questions I have always wanted to know. Good luck in D.C!

I came across this show looking for something new to listen to. I listen to a vast array of different podcasts about all faiths, and I read a lot about the three abrahamic Faith traditions and the impact, positive or negative has impacted our lives. Raised catholic, I drifted away of this tradition not being able to rationalize the doctrine and stories in the Bible. It’s taken years of studying and understanding that there is a god without religion. This show was an interesting reflection of spiritual growth in different faith traditions, and Lee is a great interviewer. Sad to say bye. P.S. the car salesmen was one of the best!

I love Preach podcasts. I feel a real connection to Lee. We have many of the same struggles with a shared Mormon background. His guests are interesting and I take away so much good and encouraging from them. I look forward to listening and learning.

I’m a non religious person raised by a Jewish father and Catholic mother, and I really really enjoy listening to your podcast.

I heard about this podcast while listening to an interview on NPR with Ailsa Chang and Lee Hale. While I only caught about half of the interview, what I heard intrigued me, especially since I have been grappling with some similar themes. I grew up and worked in conservative, independent fundamental Baptist circles, only leaving that environment a few months ago. This podcast does an excellent job asking and answering questions while remaining respectful and informative. This podcast is like therapy. It’s just what I’ve needed.

I love the tone of this podcast! Lee’s genuine curiosity and interest in his guests along with being willing to share his own vulnerability and experience makes this a unique listening experience. I have loved every single episode!

This is my new favorite podcast, and that’s saying a lot because I listen to a distressing number of podcasts. :-)

I have really enjoyed the open, frank, genuine, and kind conversation of this podcast.

Sometimes, in the dark of the night, I can’t stop thinking about what comes AFTER. In my moments of panic, I find this podcast more soothing than anything else out there. It takes the hardest conversation and makes it digestible. Rather than seeking a final answer, it explores the questions and doubts that even the most devout of us have, and there is great comfort in it for me. I hope they make more episodes soon!

Sometimes, when talking about faith, it seems like you have to make a choice: be honest, or be kind. Preach shows us how easy it can be to be both at the same time, even when discussing the big questions with someone who has a different perspective. These interviews are frank and funny, thoughtful and deeply empathetic. I don’t think I even realized how much I was craving conversations like this until I started listening. To Lee Hale and the rest of the production team: great job. Thanks so much for making this show. Season one just barely ended and I’m already missing hearing from you.

Usually people are "schooled" in the religion of their family and don't have ANY knowledge of other religions/faiths. I have tried to open my understanding and this does it! I have enjoyed hearing about people's experiences with faith and their journey as they keep learning. I think faith is an evolving thing, and you aren't always in the same spot with your own. Hearing more on a "personal" level about why and why not people make decisions along their path is very interesting. Fav episode- thus far- was hearing Peter ask you about your Mormon experiences. I know little to nothing about that religion, so it was really, really interesting to me! Looking forward to hearing many more points of view and continuing to LEARN! Just discovered Lee Hale’s podcast. (Three listened to, the rest to come.) I feel added upon as a person; more a part of the human family as I experience these interviews. I will savor them and allow myself only one per day, and then ponder on what I’ve heard.

I love this podcast, I am an Orthodox Christian woman in a family full of non denominational Christians. This podcast connects so many faiths and spiritual beliefs I find it comforting that we are all unique.

It’s been refreshing for me to hear others ask hard questions of the faith they were raised in yet not disparage that faith completely. It is such a privilege to hear guests share their intimate faith journeys on each episode.

I am obsessed. Existential questions through deep, human experience. I too abandoned religious practice and found my way home to Judaism. I am nourished by all of the episodes in this feed. This podcast is also teaching me why stories are essential & reminding me to let go of living solely within ideas.

As someone who fully embraces that my spirituality IS questioning, this is a breath of fresh air. The host actually lets his guests talk without interrupting. He’s authentic and asks interesting questions. It’s fascinating to me that the inspiration for this is a “crisis of faith,” and yet the episodes go deeper than almost any other spiritual show. Questioning isn’t a crisis! It’s how we evolve, on every level. The only thing I would change is to make the episodes longer, not to go deeper, but to look at different aspects. But I’m so grateful you’re taking the time to make this!

I thought I was alone when it came to moving to Utah and then disliking my religion after that. My crisis of faith turned me to an in depth study of theology. I was taught at a Jesuit university, grew up in a Jewish community, and my family calls me “the Mormon Jewish catholic nun.” Basically this podcast is what I have been looking for. The idea that we can look and coexist with other religions and find that commonality. Lee Hale puts his crisis of faith out there with calming interviews. There is no arguing but rather a refreshing exchange of views. There is no attempt to sway you one way or another. I never miss an episode and they can not make them fast enough for me.

As a person of faith I really wish for opportunities like this podcast to hear others struggle with issues of faith in their lives. Thanks for opening this piece of the human experience to view!

As a member of the LDS church I was worried that this would be another podcast bashing on it. I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be quite the opposite. In every episode Lee Hale does a fantastic job of finding similarities and meaning in everyone’s journey to find faith. I have had a number of moments that have hit me on a spiritual level and I am a better person because of this show! Please keep it up!

This is a lovely podcast and everyone regardless of faith should listen to it.
