    Compassionate and hopeful!
I had listed to the Four Things podcast previously and when I saw this one I immediately followed it. My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with an eating disorder in March of this year. We’ve been on a roller coaster with all the things that having a child with an eating disorder bring including multiple hospital admissions, a residential treatment stay and soon a virtual PHP program. This podcast is compassionate and has given me hope that there will be life on the other side of this.

    Addressing the Stigma
I enjoyed listening to Amy & Lisa. My client sent me this podcast. As a larger size fitness instructor/trainer, I experienced the type of behavior towards me. They come to after class in shocked that it was an intense class.

The ads don’t align with the message
Amy and Lisa have some amazing content and perspective, but I often switch off the episodes because the ads are so misaligned with their perspectives. It’s jarring to hear such positive messages and then have it interrupted with an ad for low cal diet beer.

    Soul reviving
I do not know that I have words to express how grateful I am to Amy, Lisa, and all of your guests for sharing their stories, wisdom, and knowledge on so many things. This podcast has touched my soul knowing that I’m not alone, changing my Instagram to more radiant things, and not scaring me to make big changes in my life. Thank y’all so much!

    Breaking the stigma
Learning so much about myself and that I’m not alone.

    My fitness pal
I enjoyed the episode with Caitlyn and I’m also a big fan of Amys. I wish though, they could occasionally mention that there are also women on the other end of an eating disorder with over eating and obesity. There are women dealing with type 2 diabetes, heart problems etc. who need to eat healthier and learn portions and apps like my fitness pal could benefit some people. Some women may struggle with having self control over eating and may be doing well tracking their meals in a healthy way. I just wish they wouldn’t talk so negatively about my fitness pal. There are women who need it! Myself included.

    Fantastic Podcast!
I love this podcast so much and it is one of the few I listen to regularly! As someone who struggles with disordered eating and can’t afford therapy, this is a great podcast to help me through my recovery process. This podcast reinforces that I’m not alone in my struggles and reaffirms that it’s not easy process and there could be set backs, but it’s okay. I’ve learned so much about how to overcome disordered eating and how we need to get rid of this diet culture and not make weight define us. Amy and Lisa are great and bring in experts, talk about their personal experiences, and cover many topics. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone, whether you are struggling with an eating disorder/disordered eating, you know someone who is struggling, or just want to learn how weight doesn’t define you.

    Love it!
I’ve listened to a handful of podcasts on the topic of ditching diet culture but because Amy is someone I’ve listened to for 1/3 of my life on the radio I wanted to try hers too. I LOVE it. As someone who has dieted the majority of my life I KEEP needing a reminder of why it doesn’t work for my life and this podcast is perfect to listen to and be gently reminded I don’t have to do what society sees as “good”! Thank you guys for creating this!

    OBSESSED
I have followed both Amy and Lisa on Instagram for a while now and love them so much! They’re such rays of light and hope. When they started their Outweigh series, I felt SEEN. The letters they read, the topics they discuss all resonate with me, even though I’ve progressed from my disordered eating days. So thank you both for speaking truth, self-love, and HOPE to us all!

    Empowered Women
I don’t struggle so much with an eating disorder, but I have always struggled with body image. I’m my own worst critic and I can always find something that I didn’t do good enough on my journey to be healthy! Thank you thank you thank you for encouraging everyone to enjoy their own journey and there is no “good and bad” food!

    Fantastic!
Thank you for making this it’s own podcast. This is a subject that needs more voices. We need to end the stigma on all mental health disorders and help each other!

Thank you thank you thank you
Thank you for being open and honest enough to put words and definition to my past actions and feelings and helping me know I’m not alone. After years of silently recovering I still felt so alone and didn’t even know what I was going through had a name. Just very grateful after listening to this podcast

    This CHANGED My Life
Until this podcast, I never heard of disordered eating. When I would see someone who could simply eat a meal and move on or decline to eat something simply because they weren’t hungry, I always though “Wow. The willpower. The mindset.” I didn’t realize that not everyone had constant thoughts of food and weight in their mind at all times. I cannot say thank you enough to Lisa and Amy. Through this podcast, I do feel less alone and I am starting to feel free from shame associated with weight, body and food consumption.

Deep sigh on the road to recovery
As someone who has battled anorexia and now disordered eating for much of my life, Lisa & Amy’s podcast have shown me I’m not alone and there is hope. I loved hearing Lisa on the Diet Starts Tomorrow podcast and was introduced to Amy from Outweigh. I’m so excited that these two have this permanent platform now to help us trying to get out of diet culture. Never was willing to give initiative eating a chance until this podcast.

    Awakened
Outweigh has awakened an inner radiance that my disordered eating had buried long ago. This podcast has breathed validation, hope, and soulful nourishment to a journey of food freedom that I am so grateful to now know. I look forward to being educated and connected with the Outweigh family thanks to Amy and Lisa each week.

    Great!
I knew I had a ED, but I didn’t know that what I thought was my recovery step was just another ED behavior. This has opened my eyes to how much I have been damaging myself and possibly those around me. I’ve made some big changes since listening to the first season. I can’t thank Amy and Lisa enough.

    I’ve been waiting!
I’ve been hoping there would be more Outweigh. The first season was a catalyst for major shifts in my life and relationship to food. I can’t wait to learn more from Amy and Lisa and their guests.
