Tampon Rock follows the dating foibles of the two lead lesbian characters – Deja and Chloe – as they luckily and unluckily navigate the Oakland love and music scene. Tampon Rock is as queer as its makers. Not in sexual orientation, but in its refusal to be contained by genre boundaries. It’s music centered but it’s not a musical. It’s a comedy, but it is also serious. It’s Black, It’s queer and it’s created by womxn but it's rated E for everyone. (just kidding it gets a little sexy - don't let your child listen to this).
