Somehow managed to make a very interesting story incredibly boring and arduous to get through. 6 episodes in and we have spent time hearing about applications and forms rather than anything substantial. I fell asleep half way through and woke up to find I had missed absolutely no amount of information. The only saving grace for this story is the detective Mackay, she provides at least some charisma to storytelling. The podcast host has the most monotonous way of telling the story as if it’s a novel and it’s impossible to like. Also very disturbed by “Ipswich screamer” monicker

It’s basically a podcast celebrating the investigator not much attention to case / motives / etc more just steps of investigation

Very well done. This focused on Melanie, her family & the detectives hard work. The perpetrator was like a blip in the last episodes, as it should be.

This story was so great in honoring Melanie. She went far to long without justice.

Probably the most excellent true crime podcast I’ve ever heard.

Very good following along with these detectives and what they went through for this family. I don’t want to comment about the outcome. You’ll have to listen for yourself!! Worth the listen!!

Well researched and I must say that the narrator has a very pleasant voice.

On episode two and I’m getting a sense of something disturbing and I’m not talking about the murder of the poor girl .....

Well worth a listen. Huge focus on the victim, the victim’s family- not a huge focus on graphic sensationalism.

Well told. Interesting to hear from the perspective of the lead detective on the case and how personally involved she became with the family. Great job on the interviews and reporting on the podcast.
