Brian is a very charismatic host. Very knowledgeable about music. There are very few bands that I mention to him that he doesn’t already know, at least, to some degree. His interviews are always interesting. And it’s fun to see where the mixtape will go. No matter what genre of music you like there is an episode for you. This show is a ton of fun and brings back the memories of making mixtapes back in the day

My Weekly Mixtape is a reminder why fans should be listening to music: choosing songs that have a special meaning to us. Brian is a charismatic host, and so knowledgeable curating great themes about anything! His special guests make each episode just as enjoyable.

Over the last few months, My Weekly Mixtape has become my goto music podcast. The show’s format is unique so no matter what the topic is, there’s something for every music fan. Sometimes I don’t know every song discussed on the show, but there are always playlist linked to each episode, so I can hear the songs I’m not familiar with. Brian makes sure the conversations are very laid-back & relaxed. You can tell the guests are genuinely enjoying the discussion. I look forward to this show every Monday to start my work week. Before itunes, spotify and other streaming services, the way you build a "play list" was putting together a mix tape. Be it your favorite songs from an artist or your own version of a K-Tel collection tape. This podcast brings back that joy and frustration of trying to make sure that everything fits and flows. Great podcast that compels you to follow along.

Big name guests who are all happy to be a part of the show, and Brian as a charismatic host with a command of how to run a podcast and host those guests? Yes please! I like the mixtape discussion of the show, and so every episode you have an entirely different aspect and style of music to enjoy.

This is such a fun idea. Many of us remember making mix tapes. This brings back that nostalgia while at the same time providing fun entertainment and broadening musical tastes and exposure. The show is really well done and a lot of fun to listen to!! Highly recommend!

I’m a huge fan of whatever podcast Brian puts out. His knowledge of music is second to none and each show teaches you about the artist and songs that make up our lives. Such an original podcast and concept. Brian knows his music and his taste is impeccable, so there’s going to be something for everyone. Guy has a solid voice and tone to him too. If you’re a true music fan. check this one out. It has quality in both sound and material.

"My Weekly Mixtape" is artist Brian Colburn's return to podcasts after "Playlist Wars" went on hiatus, and if you liked it you'll love this one as well. The idea is similar--Brian and a guest make a "mixtape" of songs related to an era, theme, etc. What you always get with Brian is his deep musical knowledge, enthusiasm, decency, great voice, positivity, and accomodating personality. He's a real credit to the music podcast community and MWM looks like another winner.

It’s so much fun listening to how someone else likes to curate a mixtape. I haven’t actually made a mixtape/mix cd in ages, but there was such an art to it and your podcast captures that! Keep it up!
