*instertnicknamehere*AmazingAlso I just wanted to mention there is a new show on Disney + that will fill the space The Owl House left called Haileys on it! I watched the first episode last night and it was so good! It is created by someone who worked on TOH so yeah. There are six episodes so far and also Disney is anouceimg other new animated shows on July 12 and I’m so excited because this will yield a new era in Disney Channel animated shows. Can you please do a podacasr on Haileys on it because it’s amazing. Great show though. Keep at it!

Butt123456789263620AMAZING!!!My absolute FAVORITE podcast on cartoons!! we have such similar taste in shows it’s like getting to hear my friends opinions with good analysis and dissection of the material. I’ve been a long time listener for 7 years and am so sad they’re on a hiatus, really hope Overly Animated comes back — it’ll be worth the wait!

Luke FowlAnime…So where’s the MHA characters in your anime bracket have you watched or not that’s the only problem I had with the show I’m a geek about MHA and I’m a little disappointed Deku wasn’t on the bracket.

cowfish you knowAbove AverageIt’s really a good podcast, but there’s one host who cannot finish a point they’re making and just rambles on for what feels like minutes at a time. It’s not even a tangent, it’s just straight up not finishing sentences before moving onto another point and it becomes almost painful to listen to at times. Other than that it’s a pretty good podcast

sman5612Was great and expansive now not so muchThis show was the best place to hear discussions on all things animated with real in depth discussions on all matter of animated shows. After this month however it’s down to three and the overall quality has gone down. A great show if you love the 3 or 4 shows they still cover and are willing to wait till 3 or 4 eps have aired.

B.L.obFantastic PodcastI love this podcast! The discussion, the jokes, the reviews, its all really great. Keep making this, and PLEASE find more ways to keep the people who review Steven Universe: Future together because they are AMAZING!

Raphael A. MatosKinda lost me hereI listen to two other podcasts (the Steven and She-ra) and they are now the only ones I can listen too. Maybe it’s the difference in people here? They kinda whine about things, but say they aren’t whining, and then proceed to whine about the same thing. I haven’t noticed that in other podcasts they do, so maybe it is just the group. Right to opinion is theirs but at the same time it’s kinda hard to listen too when it’s half decent and then they rush into tangents of kinda inconsequential material in the subject they talk about. No benefit of the doubt for short series or series that have more too come, they’re judged as if they’re full length films or complete series, just a little unfair.

skye3246Love the podcast but...Love the podcast and love the reviews. My only issue is sometimes it goes off on to a tangent and some episodes are not things are not broken down and reviewed. For instance the recent Young Justice episode didn’t go into the three episodes at all. It would be nice to go thru the episodes and speak to each episodes themes and the various things going on. It takes you out when you love the podcast and the awesome cast and they get distracted. This I can say is an awesome podcast. I rush to it after all my animated shows. You guys do the thing and bring us such great breakdowns. Just hopefully we can do a balance and stay the course. It was very distracting.

AZ_PhoenicianProgressive, intelligent, funny, entertaining! The Overly Animated Podcast is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. They produce a lot of content and are very entertaining. The panels of podcasters rotate with an interesting collection of viewpoints and opinions among them (including some of their top-tier patrons!). Their discussions are in depth and analytical and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who enjoys animation! Their coverage runs the gamut from adult shows like Bojack Horseman to shows like Steven Universe and Star Vs the Forces of Evil. There is also coverage for significant animated films thrown in as well as the occasional retrospective. I've gotten so much out of Overly Animated that I gladly signed up for their Patreon. Five Stars! P.S. Overly Animated is a paneled by progressive hosts which means they focus a lot on subjects such as LGBTQ representation and feminism. If this makes you uncomfortable, I still recommend the podcast and advise to go in with an open mind. Different perspectives broaden our own understanding.

Evanthegamer007Very good podcastThey reviewed it very well they talked about season two a little bit about thoughts about season one and talked about the main characters Oscar and hedgehog Iistened to it while I was playing my video games but I was thinking about if someone talked about the show for tat amount of time I feel it gonna be great

@rachyfinstaCheeseI’m a hypocrite that gives everything a bad rating

BanahnaI tried... but I can't with all the cries of social injusticeThere are some genuinely great moments of this podcasts, and some of the hosts are great. But I can't get over how often certain hosts will comment on every small piece of social injustice they see. While I believe that the social values I hold are very similar to these individuals, it extremely irritating hearing some of these things applied to a cartoon almost constantly, when generally the shows are generally only light hearted and fun. I tried to stick with it for almost 100 episodes, because the idea is great and I love most the shows they cover, but I just couldn't keep going as it was honestly starting to ruin my outlook on certain cartoons.

Lucie Loves OwliesR&M podcasts keeps nerdy girl company at lunch; satisfies her need for cartoon discourseI've spent most of my summer away from home at various music camps, and I didn't meet anyone who watched Rick and Morty, so I didn't have anyone to talk about season 3 with. I'm shy and pretty introverted so I didn't mind sitting alone in the cafeteria. It was nice to have your Rick and Morty podcasts to listen to while I had my lunch. It satisfied my need for Rick and Morty discourse. I also enjoy listening to your podcast while running. As a fellow animation enthusiast, I really appreciate your work. Thank you :)

Flight_King*Good stuffY'all rock, and I'm writing this specifically to let you know that I would be super down if you did more LWA discussions. I love the series to death, and would be ecstatic if I got to hear you cover it!
-
KimipantsNice idea. Too bad the hosts are so unfunny.I like cartoons. I listen to a lot of cartoon podcasts. This is one of the worst. The hosts are painfully unfunny and uninteresting. The male host mumbles a lot and it's super annoying. Just incredibly boring all around.

The o dreDelaney StovallI never heard the word "like" sooo many times.. half of what she said was the word "like"!!! very distracting!!!
-
ZeladryLove these guys!I really enjoy listening to the banter back and forth between the hosts! It really makes you feel like your in the room and part of the discussion. Each time I listen I feel like I'm hanging out with a group of friends having an analytic discussion about some of my favorite animated series. The show has great production value, and I'm always left with something new to think about after each episode. Keep up the great work guys. I'm subscribed to most of your podcast series. You've also expanded my horizons and gotten me to watch shows I wasn't before planning on watching. Thank you!
-
DisctroyerWonderful PodcastI love to listen to you guys, you are probably my most favorite podcast! I try to watch every episode as soon as it comes out. I would recommend it for sure!!!
-
SleepybuttonsMy favorite PodcastI love to listen to this podcast so much. I listen to their Star vs. the Forces of Evil, Steven Universe, Miraculous Ladybug, and I really want to listen to their Voltron podcast!! The hosts have really in depth conversations about these shows, going through the episodes and discussing what happened and what it means for the show. I love how I can fangirl or even disagree with them; it's an overall fun time Justin is my favorite :P

Gabler12Best Podcast Ever(I wrote this on your Steven universe podcast, but I wrote it here to in case you didn't notice) You guys work very hard to make this podcast great, and it works. I love the in depth analasys of all of the great TV series. I am also a huge fan of the relationship between you hosts, the enviroment is comfortable. Your fun vibe and humor add overall appeal to your podcast. Some of the shows you cover (or covered) that I like to listen to are Star, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, FTSW, and most of all Steven Universe. You guys are the #1 podcast I listen to, so please, keep up the good work! Sorry if this comment is too long, I just thing you guys are great. :)

FJ1333High Quality Podcast!I am so glad I found the podcast, I love that there are so many different personalities and viewpoints on the podcast which sets up for hilarious disagreements. You can honestly tell they work hard on the podcast, seeing that they literally just covered 20+ daily episodes in a row without missing one. Very entertaining podcast which I now live for <3

JadeLindgrenLove love loveI have been listening to them all day on my twelve hour shifts especially their Miraculous Ladybug ones. While we have differing opinions, I love listening to them and their theories. They make me laugh so loud sometimes!! Like the comment of being done with Chat because he had said mi lady three times in on episode. Defiantly going to explore more of their stuff. Keep it up guys!!

Eggs-en-ProvenceEngaging and Amusing PerspectiveIf you're at all a fan of any of the shows or movies this podcast covers, it's certainly worth checking out. The do a great job anlyzing shows, including comedic shows, in a way you don't hear a whole lot, and can also do a good job relating them to real-world issues in ways you may not have thought about. Side note: don't worry if you don't watch some of the shows they cover, it's quite easy to pick and choose which podcasts you listen to (or subscribing to feeds devoted to individual subjects), while still having it flow.

SoanorcYear in reviewThe Overly Animated Podcast provides excellent feedback on a wide array of current western animation. The podcasts reviews episodes either as they air or for show released all at once, like those on Netflix, as close to their initial release as humanly possible. The reviews often include a critique of the episode on animation and story quality, in addition to their overall reaction to the episode. They are considerate of spoilers and do their best not ruin future episodes when they see them ahead of their domestic release date (Steven Universe). Overall they are excellent podcast.
-
TheredneckotakuA great listenWas recommended to this podcast by a friend due to my love of Steven Universe. They have articulate and well thought out discussions on lots of cartoons. I wish there was more anime discussion but I'm not a patron so I won't complain. I love the hosts and they all fill a wide range of opinions and takes on things, like the snarky Dylan and the starry eyed Justin. This podcast gets me laughing and thinking and that's what I like. Animation isn't just for kids, it can have great impact when done right and the folks here appreciate that.
-
CarrotspiritPretty much perfectIf you're looking for entertaining, smart discussion of today's major animated shows, this is definitely the podcast for you. The hosts are all both hilarious and societally aware (esp Sam and Delaney), which makes for amazing discussion. I've never been disappointed in an episode!

Anti sackville bagginsQualityLove listening to thoughtful discussion on animated works. Refreshing to see hosts that look deeply at social implications. Always excited to see the notification for a new episode!

Zhao LivesInsightful DiscussionI've been listening to these hosts since the early days of From the Spirit World and now OVA has become one of the podcasts I'm most eager to listen to whenever it shows up on my feed. The transition from an Avatar to a general animation podcast was done smoothly and I'm glad to see the same level of deep critical discussion applied on a much broader scope. This podcast is great at shining a light on so much great animation content is truly out there, whenever they discuss a show or film I'm not familiar with I'm always compelled to seek it out. Their discussions pick apart not just the craft and surface content of the work but it's underlying themes as well as how it affects the cultural and societal landscape. A must listen for any fans of animation.
-
Danrus1GoodWould like it if the feed was spun out into multiple feeds based on show, that way we can just subscribe to episodes for the shows we watch.
-
Pizza At 4amGood StuffThese podcasters have been at the game for years, and I've been an active listener since 2008 to late last year when they covered the two Avatar series. I think they offer great insight, my favorites are always the variety of cohosts and I'm glad they seem to be back here. There aren't too many animation podcasts out there, so it's a joy that there's finally another I can listen in on. Glad this group has decided to continue after the Avatars.
-
Guy who likes animationHigh quality animation podcastProbably has the best production values out of any podcast covering animation that I've listened to, this includes big name podcasts. Also includes important and culturally relevant discussions. Plus some humor. Listen to it with your earl holes people, and other auditory organs non-people.
-
TricksterCoyoteGreat start!A really fantastic start to a podcast about animation in television and movies. Before this podcast, these hosts were part of an awesome Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra podcast. They did a great job with their previous podcast and I have no doubt this one will be just as entertaining and informative. Can't wait to hear more. Thank you for broadcasting these conversations and insights.
