When Alan started the podcast years ago the overall energy was entrepreneurial, innovative and positive. It portrayed tons of great stories and tips from advisors who were blazing the trails in the RIA space. Over the last year or so, XYPN and it’s radio show have pivoted from being a company and community of FA entrepreneurs focusing on business to a vehicle for social justice. There is nothing wrong with fighting for social justice but abandoning the business focus has taken XY from a unicorn in the RIA space to just another political organization. From what I can tell this is being pushed mainly by Alan, Maddie and maybe a few others and not by the majority of XY employees. I wish XY remained a place of information and not activism.

You need to figure out why your audio is so bad and hard to understand.

The podcast is great overall. Just very crappy audio.

Many of the guests drone on and on about their work and life history. Some guests are trying to market to financial planners and they tend to do a long winded sales pitch about their product or service. I wish Alan would ask questions to unearth why and how the advisor succeeded or failed at various aspects of their business. If a coach is a guest then the coach needs to share some of their strategies instead of just saying how great they are.

This podcast is not only for millennials, or those working with millennials - great information for all RIA's wanting to grow their business! Alan Moore does a great job hosting the show. His questions and insights are spot on! Highly recommend it!

I'm really enjoying this podcast series. Three that enriched me in the last few days were Ep #32: Monthly Retainers in a $1.5 Billion AUM Firm, Ep #30: SEO for Financial Advisors with Brent Carnduff, and Ep #27: Outsource Your Marketing to Grow Your Firm with XYPN’s Director of Marketing Kali Hawlk. I expect this list will grow as I press into more of the past episodes, and as Alan and Michael release more. Well done, men!

Ok, don't tell my 'non-financial planner' friends that I look forward to every Wednesdays for this podcast... but it's true! This podcast feels like checking in with friends about what's on the up-and-up in the realm of those who's calling is to help pre-Baby Boomer Americans breathe a little easier around money decisions. I'm not a planner, but if I were, I'd want to be a part of what XYPN is doing because they bring it. They are not afraid to push the envelope in the field of financial services, and should keep that inclination alive. The production is quality and reliable and the guests and topics keep me coming back. Thanks for putting this together Alan and Michael!

This podcast is so much fun to listen to because you get to hear about other financial planners career paths in addition to Alan & Michael’s perspective on how the profession is changing. It’s truly a new breed of tech-savvy, forward thinking, young planners that are forging the way and moving this dinosaur of an industry forward. I was honored to be featured in Episode 3 and love being part of this movement! (I’ve been bugging Alan for awhile to start a podcast so it’s exciting to see it take off!)

It took me years to do the research and get the information I needed and wanted in order to launch my own firm. Moore and Kitces have put together an excellent line up of financial planners and experts who are willing and able to share first hand experience and tips on how to effectively run a practice that works with Gen X & Gen Y AND they make it fun to listen to! Definitely recommend this podcast to those wanting to shake things up in their career or practice. Wish it was around a few years earlier for my sake. :)

Only three episodes in but there’s been such great information so far, highly recommend it. The show’s geared towards Fee-Only financial planners with a Gen Y/Millennial focus, and does a great job of highlighting new ideas and practices (location independence, multiple revenue streams) and explaining how to incorporate them into your existing or potential business. Awesome job, keep up the great work!

Host Alan Moore is doing it right! He has a great presence on the mic and asks the right questions. I wouldn’t expect this from an interview show but have enjoyed each guest interview so far. I’m also looking forward to more Michael Kitces (pronounced “kit-sis”)

It's geared towards Fee-Only financial advsiors and younger advisors but I think anyone in the financial industry or even entreprenuers in other fields can find value here.
