    Unchained and Off the Chain
Brandon Pham is the Raid Boss of game dev podcasters. He's gonna hit you from about 7 different angles with some powerful beams of truth, and he drops that most coveted of craftables, the Lustrous Pearls of Wisdom. Brandon often keeps things light and relatable, but when he needs to, he can go deep with the one-shot kill for heavier topics. His pure piercing damage is unmatched! Whether it's evergreen topics like indie game marketing and genre breakdowns or the news of the day, Game Dev Unchained has you covered. Highly recommended.

    Yikes
A year ago this podcast was pretty decent. They had guests that would talk about their games and their struggles and their achievements, etc. For the past 6 or 7 months it’s just whining and complaining about Covid. Went downhill after Larry left for sure.

    Thanks Brandon & Larry!
I’m a prospective indie game developer. I know C# & C++ and I’m working in Unity. I’ve always wanted to make my own games but never found the motivation after working 14+ hour shifts in the transportation industry. Thanks to this podcast, I’ve eliminated all excuses to pursue my ambitions. All the interviews of self taught developers and success stories have inspired me to dedicate myself to what makes me happy, programming and developing an actual game I can share with the world one day! I can’t thank LC & BF enough for this great contribution. The podcast is very entertaining and even more informative. A true wealth of content to the community of unchained development everywhere!

    Interesting but pretty negative
I think the podcast is sometimes pretty interesting, with discussions of the game industry.... but the hosts are very negative — basically they have a lot of anger toward their very industry. I’m sure this anger comes out because they are passionate about the industry and don’t like some of the things they are seeing, but many of their episodes have long stretches where they talk on very negatively about different game companies — basically the management of those companies.... lots of opinions from guys who have never been in management. It ain’t that easy guys! Keep up the podcast, but maybe take a moment to bring your humility with you when you hit record.

    Chill, Informative, and Fun
I dreamed of being a game dev as a kid. I never knew you could do this for a living. Larry and Brandon speak from personal experience and ask great questions during interviews with amazing guests giving me deep insights into the field. I’ve worked at random software companies and now by luck and after listening for 2 years, I’ve ended up at a game company recently as an engineer. I have this awesome podcast to thank for shining a light on what this industry is like!

    U should Write a Review To‼️
First I'd like to say that I enjoy this podcast so much that I want to ask any who read my review to take the time to write one themselves. I was presently surprised when I found this 💎 of a podcast. Larry and Brian deliver quality interviews because of thepassion they hold for the industry they have been a part of for years. I'm a detail geek & I get board of same old general questions that are asked by people that have no idea what they are talking about. Absolutely no BS here though and it leaves you not only feeling like You learned something, but also thinking "dam I have to wait a week for more.." Great Job guys❗️

    Real Game Dev Conversations
This is the best resource for finding out what it is like to be in the game industry. You will not be able to find as much information about what game dev life is like anywhere else. It is fellow game devs hanging out talking about their experiences in the games industry. Listening to this podcast is like being a fly on the wall during the lunch break at a studio. The conversation are real. 10/10 With new guests on the show every episode, game dev unchained covers every facet of life in the game industry. From producers, to indie devs, they talk to everyone regardless of success or failure. The best part about the podcast are the hosts. Larry is the producer, who keeps the podcast on track, and brings up the best points. Brandon is the hyper cohost with little to no filter. Brandon's exciteable nature brings out the best in the guests. Ive listened to over 60 episodes now and have not found a bad episode.

A Great, Diverse Look From Industry Veterans
As an aspiring game developer, I've scoured the web for podcasts that have content relevant to my interests; In this case, game development. This podcast is easily my favorite. The hosts and guests both have great attitudes and personalities. I feel like I'm getting an honest and informed outlook on the industry and the road leading to and from it. From great success stories to the soul crushing reality of the harshness that game development can bring, this podcast is a must for people looking to try to take a crack at game development.

    Finally!
It's great to have forums dedicated to game development. It's also great to have interviews and behind the scenes in game development on AAA titles. It's even better when you have people who love created games and have that industry experience talking first hand on what it's like. I read the book in a couple days and loved it. Cant wait to hear you guys talk about the industry. I also hope you guys cover topics on the art side of things. I am an Enviornment Artist myself and would love to hear opinions on tools and workflows, and just game development overall.
