I found this podcast only recently and I was hooked from the get-go! These wonderful hosts bring so much passion and energy to the fandom that it's infectious!

I regularly listen to at least 15 podcasts dedicated specifically to Star Wars, and Tarkin’s Top Shelf is among my favorites. The hosts always keep the show positive, which is so rare when listening to or reading comments about entertainment in general—especially those about Star Wars. They are quick to point out the good things about the movies, television shows, and books they are reviewing, and they often identify connections between these stories and the rest of the Star Wars universe that I had missed or had never considered. Their conversations enhance my excitement and appreciation for all the Star Wars content—new and old. I look forward to each episode when I can tune out the world with all its negativity for a bit and listen to some deep, thoughtful, and fun discussion about Star Wars.

No other podcast gives this much attention to the books and novels. They have author interviews all the time too!

Best Star Wars podcast I have ever listened to!

Here’s what I love about Becca & Mark: They understand that Star Wars is a tapestry of ideas. It’s a journey of themes and choices. And they’re not afraid to dig deep! They are so incredibly kind and fun and thoughtful. This is the kind of show that I’d gladly show anyone that wants to get into the deeper canon & lore, but while maintaining the openness and joy that makes Star Wars what it is in the first place. It’s a fun, open minded pod that considers the greater picture and everyone should check it out! Trust me, your fandom will be better for it.

I normally refrain from reviewing my own work, but today I'm making an exception as I'm not really reviewing myself as I am my co-host, Mark Sutter. That said, I'd like to thank him for sticking with me through these past 4-5 years, and for the whole duration of the Sequel Trilogy. It's been quite the journey and we, as a team, have come a long way since The Force Awakens. So, without further ado, thanks, Mark for making the time to talk Star Wars with me and for editing every single show to make it what it is today. Hopefully, James Arnold Taylor is right in that, Tarkin's Top Shelf is a Top Shelf Show.

Tarkin's Top Shelf is a fun Star Wars Podcast about different topics in Star Wars and good reviews of recent Star Wars Books. The hosts mainly Rebbeca Benjamin do a great job at talking about Star Wars and offerening something new each podcast episode. Well worth a listen !!!

Count me in when it comes to podcasts tackling the expanded universe media in the new canon. This is the first time in my life when I've been able to actually keep up with everything going on in Star Wars canon, so listening to Becca and Mark give a deep dive into the new lore, the media products that explain them, and more is a real treat. The hosts are, of course, fabulous. More importantly, they clearly really know the material and want to dig into just what makes this new canon tick. Star Wars fans will devour this one for sure!

When ever you have passion for something you want to share that passion. So when you find a podcast that can help give new perspectives and insights into that passion, you are in seventh heaven. I recommend getting to know becca and mark through this podcast and I hope you have as much fun as I have.

I listen to many Star Wars audiobooks at work since I work overnights and many times I want some in depth stuff about them. This has been the perfect fit for me! Keep up the great work.

As encompassing as the Saga itself may be, the current Disney canon and former EU—now Legends—will always be fertile ground for Star Wars enthusiasts. So sit back, relax with a drink of your choice (or go for a walk!), and let yourself digest insights into the written world of Star Wars and more!

This is a quality and much needed podcast with interesting topics that are often very different in a crowded field of Star Wars podcast. Highly recommended.

As someone who is trying to read as many of the novels, short stories, comics, etc this show is a must listen! Very entertaining and very professional.

I look forward to listening to Tarkin’s Top Shelf immediately after reading the latest Star Wars book releases. Mark and Becca’s discussions enhance my reading. I even listened to a book AGAIN based on one of their episodes, as I didn’t enjoy it the first time around. A must listen to podcast for the Star Wars readers in the galaxy!

This podcast is awesome! Dives deep vast mythology of the Star Wars universe as a whole and gives a great perspective on what’s going on with the canon literature and beyond!

Found out about this podcast a few weeks ago and have been bing listening to their in-depth reviews of the new SW books. Love how they connected the dots between all the movies, books, and other SW media. Appreciate their open mind and love for canon and legends!

I am an avid Star Wars novel reader. I love getting additional stories and details from the Star Wars universe so I love having this podcast to listen to. It's nice hearing from other people who have also read the books and listen to what they took from it. They catch details or form theories that I didnt think of or notice on my own. Its fun!

For someone who loves to read and likes to keep up with all the Star Wars novels, I love listening to Becca and Mark. They really get in depth with each book they discuss. So if you love Star Wars literature like I do I highly recommend you give it a listen.

If you read Star Wars Novels this pod is an absolute MUST! If you dont read they give a comprehesive breakdown of any book that may have caught your eye. But the real joy for me at least is listening right after i finish a novel myself, between Beccas enthusiasm and intellect and Mark constantly taking words right out of my mouth this podcast is 1 big homerun for me. 2 people that share their love for reading and thier love of Star Wars keeps me coming back for every episode! your loyal day 1 follower VaderNick

Rebecca and Mark do SUCH a GREAT JOB with this podcast! You guys better keep this thing going, bcuz…. it saves me SO MUCH TIME!! I usually have a hard time getting into a random new book if i don't know what’s going on, but their discussions about the novels help me understand them before I read them. I can actually MENTALLY PICTURE what’s happening as I READ and that, to me, makes a book a hundred times more enjoyable! THANK YOU BOTH!!! Keep these episodes FULL of DETAILS and SPOILERS with SUMMARIZATIONS for people like me!! I like to hear good summaries before i invest my time into a book.
