Brandon - Eastern NCNew ListenerI’m really enjoying the podcast. I have recently been attending a Jesuit parish and appreciate this podcast helping me to get better acquainted with things Jesuit.

JaquobbGarbageGarbage liberal Catholics that have no concept of historical Church teaching. Support bishops and lay Catholics that undermine the Faith. Their biggest concerns are “social justice,” rather than repentance. A mockery of true religion. A shame.
-
KdMidwestExcellent podcastJesuitical is top notch in the quality of the show. The interviews are great and Zac and Ashley do not shy from the tough questions. I love my church and this podcast helps everyone who listens to become more educated and more thoughtful. Thanks!

RoseSMC76JesuiticalJesuitical is one of my very favorite podcasts. It is like a breath of fresh air in the Catholic Church. The topics are always extremely relevant, very well presented, and thoroughly researched. The two hosts do an excellent job. Keep up the good work.

BMo09One of my favorite Catholic showsI discovered Jesuitical years ago in their first season! I love the fresh conversation on real topics affecting all humans, not just Catholics but from a Catholic and Jesuit perspective. I loved the Priest who supervises (or did originally) is Fr Eric Sundrop who we had the honor of attending multiple masses he presided over! It was places like this podcast that helped me survive working in healthcare during the pandemic. Thank you for all your hard work!

Capital M. A.Irresistible!I’m a young senior (75) and have been in parish ministry for a long time, and I enjoy your content very much. Patience, people. As I grew more confident, my giggles diminished. Take it gently.

JMBJMB8I love the formatFirst is the Catholic News of the week summarized, then an interview, and spiritual insight from the hosts. It’s a perfect way to help me keep up with my faith.

Keystone72Only thing missing are the drinksMy favorite Catholic podcast. It has everything: analysis of Church current events, fascinating interviews with Catholic leaders, and personal faith sharing. Appreciate the different viewpoints of the two hosts. My only complaint is they used to have their discussions over drinks (except during Lent). Bring the drinks back and it is a five star podcast!

eeb momGratitudeI am *so* thankful for this show. I live in part of the country that does not have much diversity in Catholic thought, and Jesuit resources have become a lifeline for my faith.
-
bmkezExcellent hosts and content!I’ve been listening to Jesuitical for a couple of years - and love the way Ashley and Zac host this podcast. Great mixture of news, features, and personal faith sharing. (And I am a fan of the humor and giggles!) Thank you for continuing to produce this show even though you have quietly aged out of the young adult range 😇

Bill and Barb in DoylestownTerrific Weekly UpdateMy wife and I consider ourselves to be “old, hip, and lay.” We listen to it faithfully (pun intended.) We always find it relevant, informative and timely.

Christy2255Not just for the youngI have two podcasts I never miss and this is one of them. I’m just sorry it’s only once a week! I am 73 years old and I absolutely love it! Does that mean I’m old and hip? Doesn’t matter, I love the Church and this podcast helps me see so many different points of view within the Church. I have found many wonderful resources for exploring my faith, particularly in the area of social justice. The world would be a better place if everyone made a habit of listening to Jesuitical 🥰

Aaron-S.Soul-nourishing, frank discussions of the Church from fellow CatholicsCame across Jesuitical 3-4 years ago, at a pivotal time in my faith life. It’s not an exaggeration to say it has played a major role in keeping me in the Church. Really refreshing to hear candid, heartfelt discussions from Catholics my age who can still be critical of the Church where it deserves critique.
-
The Good SamaritianA consolation for me.A great way for me to stay in touch with my faith, when... especially recently, it seems like the pulpit isn’t assisting. Something about the beautiful connection between lay and SJ that’s just irresistible. Definitely a consolation in my week. Love

MattEinDCNot Just for Young CatholicsAs someone who is definitely not a young Catholic (the supposed target group for the podcast), I nonetheless look forward to the new episode each week. Very often, there are guests who I would not have known about or sought out on my own. But always after listening I learn something and indeed feel inspired. I also love that Zac and Ashley have deep and meaningful conversations with figures in contemporary Catholic life from Cardinal McElroy to George Weigel. I appreciate that Jesuitical is also catholic in the „small c“ sense.
-
Super fan from NJIncredibly topical and informingAshley and Zac are fun and entertaining. Their devotion to their faith is inspiring. Zac’s humor is contagious. And I like Ashley‘s giggle!
-
kfhrGreat podcastThis is an entertaining and insightful podcast for Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Great guests and regular segments. Although geared for young Catholics, even boomers like me can learn and be entertained by Zac and Ashley.

cinderelochka10 stars if I couldScrolling down through some of these reviews - I can quickly tell you all how NEEDED a podcast like this truly is at this stage in the 21st century amidst Catholic culture. I am a millennial, a liberal and often feel like the odd Catholic out for wanting you know, basic equal human rights for men and women gay and straight… the BASICS. This podcast is perhaps the only catacized one I’ve ever come across that welcomes the outcasts. For everyone. Equally… I see one review called us “heretics”. Well ladies and gentlemen, y’all are doing something right!!! This world and our religion NEEDS THIS. Listen up, folks. If we don’t help open the doors to TODOS TODOS TODOS - we will never evolve. This is a wondeful place to start, thank you both for holding space for all us quirky Catholics and any one interested in seeing BOTH sides of the coin. It’s a must listen for me each week. Keep fighting the good fight.

marcy.s19What a joyI love this podcast. It is so prescient and fun to listen to. I frequently recommend episodes to friends to help explain questions they have about things the church is doing or conversations that are ongoing. Anyway, I’m a huge fan. My only criticism is I would prefer MORE female giggling lol. That seems to be a hot take, but alas.
-
Connie_emausRelevant ContentThank you for staying relevant. I appreciate the balanced approach and I look forward to each episode.
-
TomMelvinOutstanding content and great hostsI always look forward to listening to each new segment of Jesuitical. The content is both relevant and well presented. Ashley and Zach are delightful host

bquadExactly where I need to met with GodI am definitely well aged above the target audience. As a confirmation Catechist, Boy Scout Catholic adviser I find the podcasts as informative and fun! You are giving me the view into the young adults. Thank you and Hod bless you!

Sam from MichiganSmart, Informative & FaithfulI’ve been listening to Jesuitical for years and I have nothing but great things to say about it. Ashley & Zac do a good job reviewing Catholic news. I also love their interviews with impactful people. What’s most important is their faithful critical thinking around issues in the church and in the world. Recommend!

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Look forward to this show every weekHearing about the many initiatives the Catholic Church is involved in around the world is inspiring and uplifting, especially in a time when most news highlights the negative aspects of our world. The coverage spans a variety of topics, including some controversial ones, all explored from a Catholic perspective. I especially appreciate the section at the end where they share personal reflections on how they encounter God in their lives— a beautiful example of the Jesuit Examine. All of this is presented with a lighthearted touch reflecting the co-hosts personalities and warm relationship, making it both meaningful and enjoyable to listen to.
-
Roasting RodAwesome podcast! It’s so great and refreshing to hear the hosts’ perspectives about the Catholic news of the week along with their guests. As a fellow Catholic, I love hearing this podcast and it makes me question where I have seen God in my day.

Agostino 65Thanks but no thanks! Not what I would expect from a publication associated with the Society of Jesus.

Gabs32MAInteresting, good questions asked, but kinda leaves you hangingI mostly enjoyed the recent episode on whether Church doctrine can change. The interviewee was very good but I was a bit put off by the assertion that its really all about the journey. I think in today’s world we all feel very keenly that beliefs have consequences. It’s not just “as long as you’re struggling with the teaching” it’s all good. I appreciated his call to take church teaching seriously, but if I’m a scientist working in in vitro technologies, even if I’m aware the Church prohibits in vitro, I may come to a different conclusion out of a desire to give people the babies they want. Then what? No worries, as long as I’m struggling with the teachings. And I proceed to created designer babies and feed the industrial beast. Choices matter, people. Also, his mention of the need for conversion points to the fact that there would be an objective thing to convert to. There’s always some nuance yes, but I think for all the talk of not being a cafeteria Catholic, this only encourages that mindset, since it’s all personal!
-
Buscando fluidezThank you!!Really appreciated your last episode - and many before it! Thank you for bringing your faith, your minds and your questions to the air - you provide a thoughtful, informed, open to modernism, real perspective I really relate to. I also appreciate the mix of components on your show (news, a focus, and where you’ve found God). Now I just have to join in on the cocktail component ;).

YussssssssssddssGives airtime to heretics in a misguided attempt at neutralityGives airtime to heretics in a misguided attempt at neutrality. No room for debate or correction, guests are never really challenged and anything goes. America (the country) is a place for free speech but the Church and it’s media are a place for that which is true and of God.

TwiliterDon’t recommend for Catholics seeking truthI was really excited about this podcast, especially because they talk about topics close to my heart (ie immigration , race , Justice for the underserved). However , they do not operate from an orthodox , sincere , actual Catholic lens. This is evident on any episode surrounding LGBTQ where they often avoid speaking definitively about clear , unchangeable church teachings(teachings that are consistent for heterosexuals as well ). This is dangerous because a fallen away Catholic or misguided Catholic can fall into error or feel encouraged on their already erroneous path. I say this as a once fallen away Catholic who probably would have been harmed by this podcast. It’s sad how political so many catholic platforms in America are. Folks who promote orthodox teachings on foundational things like marriage , sex, the unborn tend to be so uncharitable towards the underserved and tend to whitewash both secular and church history. That said, the latter side does what this podcast is doing: they shed a charitable and humane light on issues surrounding the underserved but also mirror the secular world on issues like LGBTQ . We can talk with love , without lying. We can correct without being cruel or hypocritical. I don’t think every episode is without merit. But the amount of misinformation is dangerous for a poorly formed or fallen away catholic (and sadly it seems like the majority of Catholics in the US need education , guidance and help on introductory core teachings of faith)

InFaith&PrayerExcellentThis is informative and relatable. Thanks!!
