luck47satWowI don’t think it’s possible to be more smug and out touch that Ms Brathen and her equally boring and self involved guests.
-
kfjdnfiksnekwNot relatableI used to really enjoy this podcast. But now it’s just not relatable. Even as someone who comes from privilege, I can’t relate to her any more. All she does is play farm and act like the universe is rewarding her. In this day and age this take is incredibly tone deaf. I wish she could find her privilege to help people instead of just marinating in her family wealth.
-
tstrobsPrivileged narcissistExtremely privileged narcissist talking about herself
-
GenyfromdablockRidiculousWhat does this podcast even have to offer anymore? Rachel just rambles on about her privileged, unrelatable life and thinks she’s speaking profound wisdom. This podcast is just an outlet for her to talk about herself.
-
Ksuite77I miss nuance. This podcast has become condescending, judgmental and out of touch. Having American friends doesn’t mean you know what it’s like to be an American. The lack of discernment and intentional, unbiased research is clear. The male bashing and woke speak is intense.

138 WaterDangerous and DelusionalThis woman is dangerous. Her tirades against modern medicine are staggering in their ignorance. Her efforts to convince her audience that doctors are evil and the medical system is designed to hurt us will result in more harm rather than good. Rachel is NOT a doctor, and is in NO position to tell people to substitute ‘listening to their body’ for seeing a medical professional. If there was a woman experiencing an emergency during her pregnancy, Rachel would advise her to sit back, breathe, and have a Matcha, rather than being rushed to the ER. She would rather we pull a tarot card rather than getting annual screenings for cervical and breast cancer. Her performative calls to feminism and anti-patriarchy are lazy efforts to conceal the fact that Rachel does not care about anyone but herself. Cadence 13 Studios is borderline guilty of criminal negligence for hosting such radically dangerous content.

an_ca_noI’ll miss this podcast!I totally get that we all go through periods of metamorphosis in our lives. However, what used to be an offering-based podcast is now just a weekly pontification by a social media influencer with generational wealth talking incessantly about how her lifestyle is not actually based on privilege or social media stardom. This one-star rating is not about content related to nutrition or motherhood. It’s about a painful lack of social awareness, inauthenticity, self-righteousness, and judgement… all things the world definitely needs less of these days. I used to love this podcast, and I’ll miss it!

Ang&OThank youThank you for the post U.S. election episode. It is so hard to feel alone and surrounded by people who do not seem to understand the lies and corruption that went into the election of DT. I want what’s best for the greater good, apparently most of my county disagrees with that mindset. It’s so frustrating to know that he’s the kind of person the people in my country admire. I cannot fathom their justification. I’m just going to keep moving forward and pray for the best.

Annie7268Podcast for Narcissistic Privileged Women to Go Off and Never Be Accountable BRAVO! 😂Listened and followed for years, but finally had to stop. Her podcasts are incredibly narcissistic and judgmental—not opinionated, just plain judgmental. Not to mention her kids are given no privacy, which is exploitative. Side note, not a vegan by any means but it’s not an eating disorder and she doesn’t have to attack other lifestyles and cultures because she clearly has to justify eating meat.
-
YasiWilliamsLove this podcastI’ve been listening for years! Such a special podcast. Often feel it was meant to be that I listened to an episode.
-
SlimkdSick! What a narcissist! She acts like she’s an expert on every topic! I would say she’s a yoga teacher but she’s not even that anymore.
-
AllbymyselfaloneGuests are a dragI know you think we’re enjoying these guests but I just find myself skipping these episodes. You’re a better solo act.
-
tihetzelUnhingedI had to write a review after this election cycle in the US. Rachel came across with fear preaching to her audience as if we are all uninformed idiots. Her tone was patronizing and condescending for someone who usually speaks of remaining grounded and loving the world. I as a long time listener was deeply disappointed in her message of fear regarding an election and country that is really not her business as a Swedish national. If she wishes to interject she should do so with wisdom and education around the issues.

yupedy yup yupNew ads…Love the pod as a moment of relaxation but these new ads are SUPER jarring. Can we consider ads that are a calmer vibe? I listen to relax and unwind, and then these high energy loud ads immediately spike my anxiety and then frustration - especially as I’m rocking my baby, it startled her awake, and now I’m scrambling to grab my phone to skip ahead… didn’t need to skip the ads before. I know we need the ads, but just maybe a calm vibe and tone? Let the ad match the vibe of the pod…

arie 612Love this PodcastI absolutely love Rachel and always have. I have been following her for well over 13 years ! This is the only podcast that I listen to and I look forward to it every week ! It’s like a therapy session for me even through I’m not the one speaking or unpacking lol ! Thank you for being you ! We appreciate you !

AstridSWeekGrifterUnfortunately Rachel is a narcissist who was able to con a lot of women into thinking she is important. She has not walked the walk. She just talks. She has a gift for talking… thus… a podcast where she prattles on about what? She seems especially ungrateful, unhappy, and out of touch these days. I can think of multiple yoga influencers who have stayed true to themselves and their brand and aren’t projecting their dissatisfaction in a maniacal fashion on others who once enjoyed their content. Look her up on Reddit :)

OtisMamma20Ramblings of a narcissistRachel Brathen is a textbook narcissist who only cares about fame and money. She has no real principles or values and cosplays different characters on the internet in order to scam people out of money. She comes from a lot of wealth (her dad is super wealthy and has been her silent investor for years), and is a spoiled, entitled, snobby brat. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself, including her husband and children, whom she regularly exploits on social media for content and engagement. She is a liar and not a good person by any stretch of the imagination. I really wish more people would wake up and see what a fraudulent grifter she truly is. This woman is not worthy of anyone’s precious time or money. Find someone else to idolize because she ain’t it, I promise you.

KarlilindorLovely storytellingLove listening to this podcast throughout the years and going along with Rachel’s journey. It’s soft, she’s an amazing storyteller, and I always feel like I’m touching base with a long lost friend. Thanks for the grounding words as always.

asmith1092YikesI’ve been a long time follower and listener here but after the recent election episode I think I’m out. Initially I thought the episode would be one I would like, talking about understanding of the range of experiences listeners would have post US election and approaching things from a personal, but respectful space. But that quickly changed. Talking about how egotistical and uncaring President Trump is after he literally survived an assassination attempt as he works tirelessly to better the country is insanity. He made over half of America feel heard after 4 years of inflation, tyrannical nonsense (remember all those people who lost their jobs over vaccine mandates under the Biden administration?), and yes, the manipulative and very real woke agenda. I’m all for agreeing to disagree but the judgment and attack that took place in this episode about things that aren’t even real (anyone with an ectopic pregnancy does not have to travel out of state to receive medical care!) and the blatant attack on white men time and time again is off the charts and such a turn-off.

Amana BeLoveRachel is a remarkable story teller 🤍I have been loving this podcast for over a decade now! I love the way Rachel shares, laughing, crying, describing an image for us to imagine. Thank you thank you thank you for continuing to share from your heart🤍

Katelynmurphy5My favorite podcast!I listen to this podcast each week and i absolutely love it! Rachel is real and relatable and I recommend her to all my friends and family 💗
-
schreckthislifePodcastHave been following since the beginning and still get excited every friday for the new episode. She speaks very openly and honestly about how she feels, her lifestyle, beliefs, and her passions. Just like in life, if you don’t like it simply don’t listen. It’s really that easy. Love you Rachel, Dennis, Lea and Bear!!
-
leya VDNourishingI love how Rachel shares her personal journey and experience, it is so nourishing for my heart to listen to ❤️
-
shannn90Don’t listenShe has no idea what she is talking about when it comes to being plant based. She is all over the place and rather annoying. Not listening anymore. She is a narcissist!
-
ScandiaPotatoes/quinoa debacleI really do enjoy listening to the podcast on a weekly basis. However, i cant stop thinking about how Rachel said she doesnt digest quinoa as well as potatoes due to quinoa being native to south america while she is swedish. Meanwhile potatoes are also native to south america?

BellaDiBonaThe Joys of Self RelianceAhhhh! It’s a sigh of relief to hear you speak your truth OUT LOUD. Yes, it’s very challenging to harvest and preserve food alone. I’m so similar in wanting to use the resources that are given to me in the garden and never waste anything. But there’s only so much time in the day as you mentioned. And I’m similar also in the experimentation department… I have tinctures, kombucha, kimchi, honey oxymels, herbs drying, and more and it’s a lot to juggle with motherhood. Sending love your way from abroad. Two additional ways that I can suggest (that I didn’t hear you speak of) are; working with a freeze dryer (preserving food this way maintains nutrients and can last up to 25 years 😍) and dehydration. Does your oven have a dehydrator setting or a low heat setting? I’ve been making a fruit roll/fruit leather (that my kids LOVE) with our peaches and nectarines puréed into a smoothie and poured onto Silpat Mat or possibly parchment paper. I love it because it’s easy to prepare and then it’s going in the background and doesn’t require as much attention as a jam/jelly/syrup. Thank you Rachel for your honest sharing from Your heart! I’m a long time listener and fellow Mama/Yoga Educator/Aspiring Homesteader/Plant lover.

t.l.halseyNothing “yoga” or “girl” about this podcastI had been a huge RB fan since 2014. I donated money for her 108 project, her SGT Peppers Friends project (and adopted the most loving dog), and her island yoga project. I subscribed to her yoga platform for a few years. I loved all of these projects that held meaning and offered help and services for so many people and beings and deeply appreciated her energy and candor. However, somewhere along the way her efforts turned toward herself and her focus and energy changed entirely. I’m not sure if it was the money, the babies, or the mold or the combination, but it’s been sad to see “Yoga Girl” transform into whatever is happening now. I tuned back into this podcast and checked the Yoga Girl platform for new yoga content, but rather than returning to yoga it’s gotten further from it. I understand evolution and change is healthy and expected, but I think it’s time to formally put the name yoga girl to bed and perhaps rename these endeavors for what they are. Unhinged and rambling thoughts of a rich eccentric that lack empathy and nuance with no benefit or learning being delivered. Unless of course you’re looking for a new identity and want a step by step guide for Swedish ancestral living through the lens of Rachel. Also, it feels weird that she collects membership money for her yoga platform when all she is selling are classes that literally almost ten years old. It seems disrespectful to the teachers who are featured on it to have let the platform go the way she has. Delete it or invest it, Rachel. I think it’s time to have the courage to let yoga girl go. All it is is exploitation of a practice and a community you’re no longer serving, but that you continue to let serve you. Yuck.

claraanneeDon’t understand the negative reviewsYour podcasts are always so aligned with me and where I am. Been listening for years, through light and dark times. After all this time, I am bothered that this episode is allegedly your first parenting experience with big emotions towards your daughter. I appreciate your bravery in sharing but do not appreciate the facade. -a therapist
-
Ang3303So over itI listened from day one but agree with so many about it’s changed. OMG please she freaks out because she got mad at her kid? Please. She sounds like a spoiled brat with never being told no. We are screwed in the future the way these people are raising kids. It was way better the first few years.
-
yolorenDecent intro to self-help topicsVery basic, “instagram-y” talking about topics like feminism or patriarchy or body image, etc. - perhaps helpful for someone just entering the self-help/mindfulness world - but not much depth or nuance or integration to be found.
-
BelorlilA pure narcissistFollowed and listened for years. She’s a narcissist with a god complex. She becomes interested in something then is suddenly a self-proclaimed expert in the field. It’s dangerous and irresponsible. I feel horrible for her husband- everything is about her and what she has done for them. Remember, she is a brand, not a person.
-
joycouture802FreebleedingLove you so much! Just wanted to thank you for this episode. I have been curious about this for a few years and wondered about “the details”. Leah is one lucky girl to have you as a mom, I wish I had grown up the way you are raising her 💖
-
AhimsaONo longer followingUsed to be my favorite podcast. I found it in 2017/2018 and always looked forward to listening. Thankful for the past episodes but I am no longer interested and would rather keep my reasons to myself but there are quite a few why I am no longer following.
-
CaroCopelloSleep deprivation episodeI’ve heard a handful of these. Love the authentic shares and THIS one. Went through something like this w second baby and I felt like someone finally explained it similarly. Wow. I share my story on a blog and book would love to include this as an example!!!

Claudia226599Gone off the deep endI used to listen to her and follow her on IG. But she is nuts these days, narcissistic as can be. It’s all about her, her only mantra is me me me… I truly feel sorry for her children because they are exposed to her and unhinged opinions. Yoga Girl has nothing to do with yoga or ahimsa any longer. It’s a marketing machine and all that matters is how to keep her followers attached to make more money. Shame on her.

ajduffinThank you 🫶Thank you, Rachel. This podcast has been a light for me in one of the darkest times of my life. It inspires and enlightens me. It’s like a good cup of tea, a warm fire, and a soft blanket. I wish I could express how much I value your honesty and willingness to share. It helps me feel seen and reminds me I am not alone. I just finished the Processing 2023 episode, and I am yet again so grateful. Thank you.

bneekskssksReal, honest and heart-felt podcastI’ve been listening to Rachel’s podcast for years and following her work and one thing I know for sure: she’s real, she’s honest and she’s a fantastic storyteller. I’ll admit, I do sometimes miss having guests on the show with a bit more substance, and sometimes I feel like the show is a diary, but she somehow artfully comes to a beautiful lesson/message out of it and is talented with her words and I appreciate her perspective on things. As a person who loves to learn all the time and tends toward intellectualism, which of course she does touch on now and then, I find it a HUGE RELIEF that I can just listen to her calming voice while cleaning the house without any big mind-bending material. Basically, it’s relaxing, warm and heartfelt, and some of her episodes like the birth story are super potent and powerful storytelling. I’ll definitely pick up her book someday. Thanks Rachel for staying honest and true to you, and you’re a very important leader in the online space. Thanks for working hard and sharing your life path! Sending love.

NoelleFayHerbalism!I could listen to you talk about plants and herbs for days! As someone who’s interest has grown on the subject over the past couple of years, I appreciate all of your knowledge. Thank you 🙏🏻

GS FlowerMust reads for folks who love herb storiesCheck out Elizabeth Ashley Secret Healer books. She does deep research on a plant and explains history, historical uses, folklore, astrological qualities, chemistry breakdowns, energetic qualities and more. So fascinating! Love your podcast Rachel!!!

Lovelife197781RealThe most real podcast I know. Love her!

LibbyD88My one joy every week I can count on...I have been listening to Rachel's podcast for years but this year was most significant because I also was pregnant with a baby boy "due" just 2 weeks after Rachel. In a world filled with unpredictability, inconsistencies and what feels like "lack of commitment" since the pandemic, Rachel's podcast is the one thing that without a doubt, I can count on and look forward to every Friday. She vulnerably shares and resonates so deeply with the energy of one's feelings, especially now as a Mom to two young children.
-
Anna BranMy weekly treatThis show is such a warm cup of tea…I love tuning in every week. So much of Rachel’s life seems to align with my own journey (gardening, raising kids, yoga, sustainable living, etc.) Especially now as I’m 37 weeks pregnant. Thank you Rachel for sharing your heart with us every week!
-
LinneaDNLOne of my favorite podcastsI’ve been listening and following Rachel since her first episode. Yes, her social media purpose and presence has changed over the years, and yes, she has somewhat atypical views about the first world healthcare system. But other people’s views and decisions do not have to affect you! Live and let live. This podcast is funny, endearing, honest, and entertaining. ❤️
-
abenewennyLife changingI have followed Rachel for years and love her like a best friend. She brings me to happy tears and hugs my heart every time I listen to an episode. She has completely Changed my life with her open heart and willingness to share tools for healing. I’m forever grateful!
-
LauraListenstoPCJuly 14, 2023Listening to your 3 week postpartum episode and relate so much! I just wanted to stop by and reassure you, they’re just thoughts! Your podcast IS NOT BORING!!!!! Just listening to any of your podcasts is a daily breath of fresh air!!! 🫶🏼🙌🏼🌈

Kel_SauceFull circleIf you’ve been a long time listener like myself, hearing about Finn’s free birth was so special and meaningful. From the first episode to now, Rachel has always kept it so raw. And nothing shows her growth and transformation as a woman quite like this full circle podcast moment.
-
TweedyknowsSooo enjoyableI absolutely love kicking back and listening to these podcasts. Rachel is genuine, thoughtful, kind, and honest. I appreciate the unhurried, thinking-aloud vibe, sometimes meandering, but always worth the lil' detours and explanations. That's what it is about! It is "conversational" easy & friendly. My twin daughters are now 14 and I've appreciated thinking through and back over those prego months as well as birthing them. Her thoughts on social media are helpful, as I continue to navigate those steps for our family and specifically daughters. Most reviews are super positive, but to those that are critical, she's clearly touched a nerve with her pregnancy and birthing choices. I felt it, too, and might not be able to really understand all the critiques if I hadn't experienced it myself....Love listening, keep talking and sharing. xx

Anatamnystay awaythis podcast was great when the focus was yoga or guest interviews, but is now total cringe and dangerous i would say. Borderline nuts. The marriage episodes so so cringe as the amount of disrespect and controlling behavior she shows towards her husband,( also even when he is not on the show), i find depressing( and for context my husband and i used to listen to this show together). The way she speaks of her mother also cringe. it is very “me,me,me”, every episode. the move to sweden a way to isolate her family, esp her husband, if you ask me. Most episodes now are very TMI and sounds like a pre therapy sounding board. I think she should shut down the yoga platform completely bc it feels really dishonest at this point. I’d be okay hearing abt the ancestral stuff if it didn’t come with so much judgement and holier than thou nonsense. she really needs a break, and i hope she takes one soon so she can hve better clarity around how she wants to help ppl. This just ain’t it.

IndraOctopusIt’s changed…..Used to enjoy, now so full of privilege and disillusion it’s painful and so out of touch to listen to. Disappointing.
