Hạnh BoYour podcast is so helpfulI have lived in America for 25 years and married an American for 13 years. Many days I thought I was asking my husband in a polite way or requested him to do certain things, but it turned out it was not, which made him mad and I didn’t know the reason why. Until I ran across your podcast. thank you so much for explaining and show the non-English-speaking person the American way of speaking.

Nesterok21Great materials! This episodes are great! I’m on a level when I can easily understand everything she says, and this is important! (Their are for advanced level I would say). 10 years in America, a lot of practice! But i realized I need to improve my pronunciation and work on my accent. I receive a lot off “what? What? What?”, and this is annoying:). So very happy with material, was looking for something like this. I believe it will help me a lot in my learning. Thanks, Rachel.

Rio_tousBeen loved it since first episodeRachel’s voice is breeze to my ears. Conversations between Rachel & David are relaxing, fun but also valuable for English learners. No matter which language we speak, there’re a lot of nuances hidden behind, Rachel and David are good at spotting them.

XxxxxxxxccxxxcVery informative and fun to listenI moved to the states at the age of 22 from Russia about ten years ago. Until then I had been absolutely sure that I had a great pronunciation. Well, surprise, surprise. My RP (Received Pronunciation) accent I was taught at school and college was very different from the North American way of speaking. Some two years ago when I was in college, I was talking to my roommates and realized that I can’t speak as fluently as they did. Specifically, the “t” sound between the vowels was the most challenging because I would slow down before I could say it and continue the conversation. I went online and the first video that popped up on YouTube was Rachel’s English. From that video I learned about the flap t and d and a ton of other things. I have become a fan. When I learned that you launched the podcast I downloaded it without hesitation and I like it a lot. I find it very interesting when I hear David learning something new about ESL learners and how hard it is for them to master the fluency and pronunciation. A bonus part is David’s soothing voice. I could listen to it non stop. The last two episodes about your trip to Italy are my all time favorite because you share your firsthand experiences of interacting with people in a language you don’t have a good command of and can relate to how the ESL students might feel when speaking English. Thank you for all your work and I’m looking forward to the new episodes.

AnaMile24moRachel always works hardI'm starting to listen to the podcast and I'm very surprise with the quality of episodes that I've listed to so far. Rachel focus very well in the placement (with is a new concept for me) and it's another space for everyone who has followed her in YouTube. Very relax and professional at the same time. Anyother pronouncing resource work for me like her. Thanks you so much for give us the best and help us to improve in the hardest skills of learn English: pronouncing, speaking and listening .
-
RuitilsonI love itI fell in love with your videos and your projects in general because you always bring something new and relevant to English learners. You teach English the way it's meant to be. You didn't separate English from culture nor culture from language. I love it in every ways!
-
Vince111112Always Perfect!Perfect!
-
AliLaraGAwesone episode about diphthongsThis episode was amazing for me. I could realize how hard is learn about diphthongs sounds. The participation of David is invaluable because he helped me to understand why American speakers could not understand to a Spanish speaker. We say vocals sounds instead of diphthongs. If you want speak a better English you should listen this episode for sure.
-
RickyDaVinciRachel is the best!!This podcast is great. Specially for intermediate/advanced English learners. The way Americans really speak is very different from the way regular teachers do. And believe me, pronunciation and linking are never ending tasks that we will only accomplish by practicing both listening and speaking
-
