AsdfghjklccddddddDisappointedI just discovered this podcast and decided to give their “New Drugs of 2024” episode a listen, since I thought it would be the most beneficial and contain the most information in one episode. Anyways, I wanted to like it and at first, I did. Until, they ‘discussed’ (more like glazed over) the newest naloxone product, Rezenopy. I know naloxone is not a novel drug of any means, but the impact it has had on the OUD patient population has been huge and life-changing for many. Maybe these guys do not live in or have never learned in an environment where the opioid epidemic hit the hardest (and still continues to ravage these communities), but the suggested apparent lack of care for these patients was extremely disappointing to listen to. The speaker admitted he only conducted a cursory search and also admitted (embarrassingly), that he had not even looked at a picture of the new drug delivery device and he does not know how this new device is any different than Narcan, hinting at the unimportance of it. A simple google search or glance at the PI will immediately tell you that the dose of Rezenopy is 10mg compared to that of the 4mg Narcan nasal spray. I understand that as medical professionals we are all very aware of the MOA of naloxone and how/when to administer it, but the lack of any interest at all compared to the lengthy discussions of every other drug mentioned in this episode, is disappointing and honestly, arrogant. What was the point of even including it in the discussion if the most you talked about was the name of it? Personally, if I was discussing this topic on a podcast, I would do my due diligence to look into all the drugs I would be educating the audience on, as that is the point of this podcast, right? I can say I stopped the podcast and do not plan to listen to anymore episodes, unfortunately. I am always looking for new Pharmacy podcasts to learn from and relate to, but this one did not make a good first impression.

EstherhenterCorConsultI could not imagine finishing my APRN without CorConsult. Mike and Cole are knowledgeable in combining evidenced pharmacological and medical research to real-life patient situations. Thank you for making me a better nurse practitioner for the community I will be serving. ….AND they truly respond when stuck with a medication dilemma (they are my “free cherry red Ferrari)”🤩

SBRlifeJoe Rogan?Mike sounds like Joe Rogan. I wish I cared enough to look him up to see if he looks like Joe Rogan but I don’t. Therefore, I spend every episode wondering if I’m listening to someone who looks like Joe Rogan instead of focusing on the content.

JamesbraggExcellentI’ve been a retail pharmacist for several years and this podcast is such a great refresher for things I don’t see as much and also keeps me up to date on some more recent developments that I hadn’t heard of (I work the night shift alone so this podcast is the main way I stay on top of things since I don’t get much chance to talk to other pharmacists.) thanks for everything and keep them coming please!

Rae2015Great COVID PastimeI enjoy the clinical pearls and discussion of recent lit with a peppering of humor and banter. I’ve found listening to be efficacious in decreasing the relative risk of my mind turning to mush despite cancelled rotations. Thanks for taking the time to do this podcast, it’s majorly beneficial for us students!

lifb1998001DecentUsed to be my favorite podcast, until the episode on antiepileptic medication. Half of it was narcissistic rambling that made me feel like I was sitting back at Wando. The other half contains great clinical information and I especially enjoyed the review of different types of seizures and corresponding therapeutic options.
-
ahdkgktvybMay not be worth my timePodcast has nuggets of useful clinical information. The rest is filled with unrelated chatter and superficial basic information that any pharmacy student knows.
-
Ratttters113123123123👊👊Smart and helpfulGreat presentation. Evidence based. The woman narrator has a beautiful voice.

trextolfAMAZINGI am a 3rd year pharmacy student and this podcast has been a great tool for me to keep up and remember things as I progress to becoming a pharmacist. Just last week on my way to class I listened to a heart failure case and then in my class we had a patient case where the patient had heart failure and was prescribed a beta blocker that is not one of the top three choices for patients with heart failure. I not only felt extremely well versed in these medications but I impressed some of my fellow students because this podcast reaffirmed this information in my mind and really helped solidify it. Now I will never forget it. keep up the great work! it is a great podcast for reviewing as well as learning new things
-

-
AreaCode17decent for studentsNot a bad review of common diseases and pharmacotherapy. Most useful for pharmacy students, but really anybody who wants a review may find it helpful. I can’t stand their voices, however, particularly the kid’s monotone
-
Lachell, PharmDThese guys are awesome!Mike and Cole are extremely knowledgeable and fun to listen to. I’m a PharmD who has been in practice for 3 years in a hospital setting and find their podcast to be very beneficial for keeping current.

KeepinupwiththeJones18Thanks from a cardiac nurse!I’m a nurse who works in cardiac and has been out of school for a year. I’d been looking for a nursing podcast to brush up on things and had a hard time finding a nursing specific one. I stumbled across yours and I like that you talk about diagnosis and treatment too, not just meds. Any chance you all would be interested in doing a podcast on cardiac meds or more specifically anti-arrhythmics? Thanks!
-
DRxUGSBest pharmacotherapy podcastI love this podcast! Start from episode one and recommend to every member of the healthcare team
-
the patrick keyWhat a ‘CastThe cancer episode was my favorite. Not only was there a great story about presentations in the pre-PowerPoint era, but it felt like a casual conversation that happened to be about antineoplastics. 5 stars isn’t enough for the work that goes into this Pharmcast. He deserves it
-
RygffdDope podcastI enjoy the podcast, listen to it every day!!! New content every week and it is always helpful
-

-
Ruflying74Luv they don’t skip the basicsI’m a mail order pharmacist, so I don’t get exposed to the daily clinical reminders that many retail pharmacists get pounded into their brain. Luv that you guys don’t skip over information that many pharmacists might consider obvious. Thx, keep it up!
-
hucop16Great way to keep updated on my commuteLove this podcast! It’s a quick review and easy to listen to on my commute to and from work!
-
GlebFInspiring! If you want to go beyond required CE hours or want to review/expand the knowledge of clinical topics- this is the podcast to go to. Mike provides deep insight into variety of disease states with heavy clinical evidence behind any treatment option available. Definitely a podcast to go to for pharmacology and medicine updates. The podcast is also not as snobby as many out there due to fun chemistry between Mike and Cole.
-
