    Where’s Morgan?
It’s amazing this podcast still exists. I used to listen back in the days of Morgan and Thomas McKenna who’s now with Geordie. Bring Morgan back for a one off episode.

    Informative regarding sport’s business
I enjoy listening to their podcasts, and especially the sports business focused shows.

    Great over all podcast
A little rough on MLS at times but infomative

Fine Line between thoughtful and reflexive crticism
Look, I'm all for critical voices within US soccer. No one wants to listen to podcasters who simply cheerlead for the status quo. But I sometimes feel like these guys fall into the trap of spending too much time complaining for the sake of "sticking it to the man". I get it, negativity sells. But more balance would be welcome.

    Christopher Harris Great/ Kartic Not
This is such an informative podcast about soccer and the broadcast information that goes beyond the schedules. Christopher Harris does a superb job and is very appealing in his presentation. Kartic, however, is not so appealing. When he’s not overly obsessing over women’s soccer (in a creepy way), he’s telling us how we are simpletons and don’t even know why we are enjoying soccer. His attitude of superiority is aggravating and constant references to his Twitter account get old. 3 rating stars are for Harris and the 2 blanks are for the other guy.

If you love hearing MLS and American sports constantly belittled then this is the podcast for you!

    TV Media Gurus
Chris and Kartik are definitely the go-to guys for soccer media discussion in the US. I’ve always appreciated their objective view points which makes it clear that they operate independently. I’ve heard them say both positive and negative things about every rightsholder in the US.

Please Kartik—Stop complaining about Twitter. Enough already!

Great content, but hosts can be hypocritical
With tv/streaming/media always changing, this podcast is very informative on which media platforms show different soccer leagues. The first half of the podcast is very informative and a great listen. The 2nd half of the podcast show consists of listener mailbag which the read comments and questions from fans aloud. I’ve had several comments or questions that were never read on air. I’ve even had only half of a comment that was read, while the other portion never made it on the podcast. The hosts claim even if you disagree with them, they will read your comment, but this is clearly not true. Only if your comment, fits the hosts agenda and opinion will it be aired on the podcast. For this, the 2nd half of the comment is a complete waste of time

Not yer everyday football pod — for good and ill
This is a very niche pod. It focuses on the presentation of football/soccer in the US, as opposed to what’s happening in any of the big leagues. Further, the hosts aren’t your average viewers. On one episode, they critiqued different networks’ apps and praised one, ESPN I think, for allowing a view to watch multiple matches at the same time. These are folks who have been watching football for a long time. I doubt newer viewers who are watching more football (as the big European leagues have become more readily available through streaming) watch the way the hosts do and whether the things they most like or find most annoying about a certain network or broadcast would be shared by newer viewers. They’re interesting to listen to a lot of the time, but I often think it’s more because I’m learning how people who grew up with football watch the game less than because I’m learning about the game itself.

    a must for me overall
thoroughly enjoy in the aspect that so much d as occur is streamed and this pod & the website are extremely helpful in knowing what & when to watch. no need for political commentary, which you sometimes get.. overall though i listen weekly.

    Story of Two Contributors
Chris 5 stars. -Thoughtful analysis, measured, professional, fun. Doesn’t take himself too seriously. Kar-wreck (whoops) Kartik 1 star. -Loud, stuttering blowhard, talks too much, too often. Suffocates the show. Ego maniac. Count the number of times he refers to himself.... I run a league in Florida, I did this. I run a league. I work for the Democrats. In the league I run.... Did I mention I run a league? Each time he speaks, reminds me of Ozzie Osbourne’s intro to Crazy Train. I I I I I I I I. Two ways to “enjoy” Kartik. 1- Get a pencil and paper. Every time he either stutters or says “I”, make a mark. Turn the podcast off once you get to 500 marks. (Or) 2- listen to Chris, and each time Kar-Wreck starts talking, fast forward 30 seconds. If he’s still talking, ff another 30 seconds. Benefits include.. - Almost all Chris. - Almost no Kar-Wreck. - You are well nourished with football information for the week. - The podcast is only 20 minutes long. Too bad Chris has to drag this anchor with him. It weighs down the show.

    Trash
Listened to this show religiously 5 years ago tried to check it out again and had to listen to this guy trash all of american sports? Get a grip on reality. How many oligarchs own american sporting franchises vs own football clubs? We have salary caps and financial oversight here that actually level the playing fields. How does anyone take this analysis seriously....... Upset i wasted my time on this✌🏼#respectfully lol

    Honest Coverage
Been listening for years because I’m a nerd when it comes to soccer tv rights, ratings, and production. Feel like Kartik and Chris have mellowed on their anti Fox bias as they’ve had to deal with Turner Sports. Either way, they are an honest bunch and share their perspectives and preferences. You won’t agree with everything, but you’ll learn something.

Seriously...can someone stop the yapping dog in the background?
The podcast is informative and easy to listen to. But man, the production value seriously suffers sometimes. Case in point, WHO HAS THE YAPPING DOG IN THE BACKGROUND IN SEVERAL EPISODES?! Geez, it’s not a live program-stop recording AND MOVE THE YAPPING LITTLE MONSTER! It’s so irritating! If it continues, I may have to stop listening. The information is great and the hosts are honest and know their media stuff for sure, but man, the production value is sometimes beyond amateur.

    Cable vs streaming
First of all, thank you for a great podcast. I don’t work for Soectrum. This said, I do love the TV package I have with them. Spectrum provides my Internet (200 download speed). I pay an additional 15 dollars plus tax and I get to pick 10 channels that I want plus all local channels. I have all my 19 channels are soccer, of course (TUDN, ESPN, FOX NBC SOIRTS BEING and the same on Spanish. This is all streaming on their app available everywhere. NO BOX... I love it

    Christopher Harris whines too much
This podcast is basically Christopher Harris whining about every game that is being broadcast. He actively lobbying for NBC to fire Arlo White & never compliments anything. Why listen its Christopher Harris be a Little Whinnying B****
  • NorCalStickyIcky
    One more thing
Of the 5 or 6 episodes I’ve listened to all of them seemingly start out with how the host was only able to catch 15 minutes of football this weekend because of travel soccer and of course Kermit the frog is just such a hipster he only watches games in the Albanian 12th division so my .02 but if you haven’t watched any games what the hell are you doing a podcast or at the very least maybe not start out every show by talking about all the soccer you didn’t watch
  • Alfomar
Hosts don’t care about growth of US soccer
In an era where many MLS clubs are beginning to move in a new direction in terms of the types of signings they make, the quality of football they play, and the gameday experience they provide for fans, these guys continue to bash the league as if it’s still stuck in the mid-2000’s. There’s still a long way to go, but having podcasts like this that refuse to give credit where it’s due only hurts the growth of the sport in this country. In a time when we should be encouraging fans to be a part of their local clubs and communities and help build a culture they should be proud of. All these guys do is promote the European leagues and tell Americans to watch and support those instead.

A Podcast Title that doesn’t match the Niche Focus
It’s a football podcast that critiques football production and the critics, but not really the goings-on in terms of performance.
  • footy fan 213
    ESPN FC fanboys
If you want to listen to two football “journalists” bash the perceived poor production values of Fox/TNT/NBC and praise/promote ESPN. This is the Pod for you. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kartik and The Gaffer are getting some sort of financial backing from ESPN. There are much better independent football podcasts out there.

    Great!
Love the pod keep it up boys
  • mark of a champion
    File size is too big
They need to condense the file size of the podcast. It shouldn’t be taking up that much storage on the phone. Also, one of the hosts is pretty condescending towards American soccer fans and US soccer in general.

    Good discussion, terrible sound quality
Great talks, but don't really look forward to listening anymore. The terrible electronic feedback on the podcast is so irritating it just has made me lose interest. Really wish that it was more professional

    Great pod for streamers
I cut the cord years ago and have always struggled finding live games. This is a great pod with good information and interesting discussions. I'm not in media but find this pod to be a must listen.

In informative and Poor Audio Quality
First, you would think a podcast critiquing soccer coverage would have better audio quality themselves. Invest in professional microphones and get off the Skype. As far as the critiques themselves, not very informative or entertaining. I don’t recommend this podcast.
  • Alden Guy
    Virtually useless
Had great hopes for this podcast. Unfortunately, the hosts just talk about Fox Sports’ coverage of the World Cup ad nauseum. They spend virtually no time talking about the players, the strategy, or the games. I can’t think of anything less interesting than a couple guys who can’t get on the Fox coverage team bellyaching about how bad it is.
  • AwayGoalsMatter
    Great Soccer Podcast
This has become one of my staple soccer podcasts because it provides the coverage of the game in the US which no one else does. The pod covers tv and streaming rights updates, a rundown of how the games are covered, as well as numerous other topics associated with watching the game.

    Great for media savy people
Love watching football, but as a social media enthusiast I especially pay attention to pre and post match coverage. Having professional opinions to listen to and compare to my own opinions is a fun thing to have. It's a podcast unlike any other. Highly reccommend the pod to any football fan. Keep up the good work lads

I really like this podcast with the current format of weekend rapup and weekend preview. Not as funny as the Guardian, but just as entertaining.

    Lost a listener
Since the new format, you have lost a listener. I really enjoyed it but have since quit listening
  • Martin Mulcahey
    New format is appreciated
Show is turning more into an analysis of soccer media, but not losing game or team coverage, which I appreciate since they are giving expanded coverage to leagues besides EPL.

    Decent EPL pod
Decent EPL podcast, when the conversation turns to Bayern/Dortmund/Bundesliga the analysis (and player pronunciations) quickly becomes cringeworthy.

    Great Bantz
Love the bantz, it's really the best bantz, I mean, I know bantz, and let me tell you, I give great bantz, these guys though, the bantz, it's phenomenal, best bantz in town. Terrific!

It's all about the game! And sort-of like a codependent love-doll!
This pod has morphed into a top blabber-fest dedicated to the game we love like opiates and the games we care about most. Kartik Krishnaiyer is always solid & well-prepared, Nipun Chopra moves things along smartly & engagingly. Give it a listen. You're powerless over soccer, your colleagues and SO will never get into soccer as deeply as you, so let these fellow-travelers be your surrogates*. *virtual only, no house calls
  • Dec2012?
    Serious in-depth BRITISH analysis
This show is for serious fans of soccer (fans of this show will probably reject the American term for the sport) that enjoy discussing formations, possible player selections, credible trades and overall health of the Barclay's Premier League. Not for you if you are a primary fan of La Liga, Bundesliga or soccer outside of the UK. You will hear more talk of the Championship League than La Liga. It can be dry so please take it into account.
  • bbarbosa13
    Boring
The host is boring, and shouldn’t be called “world soccer talk” but really called ENGLISH league talk
  • Superwiki
Could do with another host swap
The analysis is arguably more astute than in prior seasons with him leading the way, but host Richard Farley is nearly unlistenable as he lacks any sense of humor and sometimes steers the show away from being entertaining. Kartik and Laurence are 10s even in the face of the most boring American pundit around. The production quality has also been lacking in numerous episodes this season as editing mistakes and poor cuts throw the listener off. And who added elevator piano music to the theme?
  • Mrogrs
    Commentary boring
The new hosts are so boring and Nate Abuerra is an idiot
