1avhMy best friends!I LOVE you ladies. I love love love the banter and giggling that others complain about. I’m not here for just the story, I’m here for Ash and Alaina! Please don’t change a thing 💕
-
Ashii09Bots I thinkI think there are some bots invading these reviews. You guys are wonderful. Talking about how there are too many tangents and you talk to much. Nonsense. I saw the exact same comments on ATWWD, also a wonderful podcast. If they aren’t bots, they are horrible people. You guys are awesome. Keep doing you.

Rachel8826BummedI’ve listened for years and you two were the only podcast that I could get behind because you didn’t sound like you were reading off a script. But recently I feel the stories you’ve been picking have been very dry - and episodes seem to becoming shorter and shorter - especially when 15 minutes of the 50 minute episodes is just you two rambling. I still love you guys but I wish this was still the podcast it used to be. The banter at the beginning wouldn’t bug me as much if the stories were more interesting and the episodes were longer. Plus considering I pay for a subscription for you guys and get excited for a new episode and it turns out to just be a replay of a “fan favorite”. 🤷🏻♀️

Mrsg743So hard to followA couple of jokes to start is great with any podcast, but let's get to the story.... if you try to skip the banter in the beginning, it doesn't matter bc the podcasters continue to reference their intro jokes thru out the whole crime story. Once you get going with the story:// Just please tell it....without the banter. I was looking for something other than dateline or 48 hours to fill my true crime fix, but this unfortunately isn't it

CarleyycxxThank you for being there 🤍Ive listened to Morbid for years and years now, and I can say without a doubt that this podcast gets me through so much of my day to day. The banter is what makes me keep coming back. It's so refreshing to hear both of you talk about yourselves and what's on your minds... it wouldn't be human if you didn't, it would be cookie cutter and unauthentic. I relate to so much of the topics yall talk about when you create little side roads in your stories & it makes me feel normal knowing there's people like yall who are just like me at the end of the day. Please keep doing exactly what yall are doing & have been doing for years now. Morbid podcast is very much cherished in my world.
-
Ran pan2GreatPersonally I love the banter and the giggling that everyone is complaining about- yall have me laughing right along with you. With gruesome topics you can’t be so serious all the time. Just in general you can’t be serious all the time. The victims and families are always respected here. Girls keep being yourself because we love you. Hearing your laughs makes my day. There is plenty of other true crime podcasts without banter sooo. Alright love y’all so much- Miranda

cantgetenoughcrimeapparentlyMy besties in BostonMy ABSOLUTE favorite podcast. I love how they tell the stories, I LOVE the banter, and I love them as humans. I feel like they’re my long distance besties. They respect the victims and survivors and they’re hilarious while doing it. 100/10

JessMu3456Love!This is my go to podcast! I absolutely love the banter between them, no idea how many times Ash has made me literally laugh out loud! They both do a phenomenal job researching and delivering information!
-
bonjovirxUse to lovewondery was a terrible decision. This was my go to podcast but now I feel like it’s changed so much. Also their banter has gotten out of control, use to love it been it’s become even more excessive and also judgmental - no matter how much they try to come across how “accepting” they are.
-
howdy509Hard to listen toFound the podcasters super annoying and difficult to listen to, did not even get to the subject of the podcast because their introductory banter was so obnoxious.
-
DylanMierzLove these ladiesWhy the onslaught of hate reviews? I’ve listened to these gals since the beginning (on and off, as my true crime phases come and go), and whenever I come back it’s always the same in the best way (except the audio quality has improved a lot!). They banter a little, they get into the crime, they’re respectful of victims, and don’t try to be more than they are (meant as a highest compliment). Also hello! Since beginning this podcast Alaina has penned not one but TWO novels. Love this pod and appreciate all the work that’s gone into it over the years.
-
lolsniltAnnoyingY’all talk way too much!! It’s so annoying
-
Michael1578Too much side chatter.I certainly respect what you do but FOR ME and apparently others, the side chatter, giggling and going off track with the story is not enjoyable. We’re here for the story, remember that.
-
Clauts09Keep your Hair On!The epitome of L O L. Listening while working in a quiet office… trying to hold back laughs, which resulted in watery eyes.. well let’s just say… I feel alive again.

Record up 123AMAZINGI am only 14 years old, but this podcast makes me was to be a forensic scientist and I love it so much. I’m working on listening to every single episode no matter what. I love both Alaina and Ash and I see how Ash has gotten better and better at researching and doing her own episodes. Overall I’m obsessed with this podcast and I normally get bored by things, but this I’ve been listening to for almost over a year.
-
Gotta pay stupidUsed to love this podcastUsed to love this podcast now it’s r seems to annoy me more than anything
-
JohnnyMia1Recording early if my vote matters…noI agree with rubydog. If it can be done without excess pressure on the hosts and there families, great. I am not a podcaster so I wouldn’t know what goes on but as a listener for many years, I respect BOTH your takes on current happenings, but understand you all have families as well. 2nd request I want both ya’ll to go with your guts. Everyone who listens (I believe) FEELS there is something else going on besides the governments lying to us and I would like to hear some of THAT ‘T’! What have ya’ll heard?!
-
Bkbaby11219The chatter is annoyingI used to binge this show, but needed a break it’s becoming irritating. The constant off topic banter/ repeating the ends of one another’s sentences or pretending to be in sync with each other it’s frustrating. The annoying commercials (that I just skip because they are so fake it’s annoying and insulting at this point).
-
Weirdo # 1Too much F the F otherwise 5 starsHad to take a break even though I love the content. Waay too much f bombs. And giggling. Get to the story. Some banter is great but it had gotten to be too much. Love the books by the way!! Maybe a third in the works??
-
mrsbthomasSeriously? You literally report false information and your opinion and somehow your following of DOLTS don’t realize it and can’t do their own research.
-
Brittney BrockUsed to be great!I used to love Morbid when they first started up. Now it just feels like they struggle to stay on topic or like they have other things they’d rather be talking about with the giggling and the random 10-minute tangents they go on. IMO, they should’ve never partnered with Wondery - that’s when things started to go downhill.
-
Teresa SoundsOkayI like the subjects they cover but have gotten tired of the nonstop cursing. I’ve moved on.
-
GTG41Best True Crime PodcastI recently found this podcast while researching a true crime topic I found interesting, when I typed the topic into google the exact topic was covered on an episode that morbid so decided to give a whirl. Needless to say I’m hooked!
-
omar1otYikesThis is some rough listening :-/
-
Kiki MGThe stories are amazing just stop with reminding us you aren’t religious over and over and overJust be the amazing storytellers you are and keep your personalities but after a while we get it you don’t believe in God and look down on those who do - which is so weird when you do sage cleansing and spiritual cleansing and believe in that. Just be more considerate. Thank you.
-
Josie JoJoMy bffs I’ve never metI love podcasts but I have trouble finding any others I’m willing to listen to since finding Ash and Alaina years ago. I try to venture out but nothing compares to the familiar banter of my two favorite ladies! Plus they can tell horrible events but leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling, telling about the victim and the impact they had on those around them. It’s truly a gift what my bffs across the country do for my little ADHD brain!
-
HAPwiscoUnbearableThe giggling and totally unnecessary commentary before they get to the topic of the episode is totally unbearable. I kept thinking “ok, maybe now they’ll actually start the episode. Nope… now. Nope.” Awful and so annoying.
-
shr325F Bombs!Tuned in for the first time and enjoyed the great storytelling. But listen to two ladies throw f-bombs for the simple use of throwing it just became just too much not opposed to it. Just use it when it’s relevant not for the sake of just cause you can. I mean they can compete with a marine drill sergeant.
-
sssoopphhLiterally no competition???Hi! Long time listener, first time caller- holy smokes! I can’t say it enough, I love this podcast! I started listening a few years back and I’ve been hooked since. I literally subscribed to Wonderly+ SOLEY for this podcast. Like actually, I don’t listen to any other podcast (I know I should branch out but I have trust issues and ADHD). So when I see people gripe about the ads, ya must not be a diehard fan (sorry). I love the way you girlies are so passionate about each crime you research and are always SO respectful to the families and others affiliated. I am at the point where I am RE-LISTENING to episodes from the past. Thank you for always keeping my EXTREMELY ADHD brain focused on whatever topic/story is being told. I always feel like I’m on a conference call with my besties. Please, for the love of whatever is out there, never stop being your authentic selves. xoxo soph

Rebel beanPleasePlease stay on the subject and control halls language

Samc1214Love them! The storytelling, research and comedic back and forth is great. But the kindness towards victims and victims families is perfectly expressed.
-
Rubydog1220Things have changedI love morbid and have been listening to them for years. However, I really dislike how more recently they have had to record sooo early that they are nowhere near up to date on current events or holidays in the episodes. It really loses a part of the podcast that I like.
-
LyelesF this F thatWay way way too much swearing for me. Just tell the story. And too much giggling.
-
CrystalKitty18Like being with the gals🖤Been listening since 2020, got me through that hectic time and still getting me through life’s roller coaster. Love the energy they bring, the laughs, and all the swear words for you L-7 weenies! 😂 Keep up the awesome work ladies!🙌🏼

Psychic friendOut of this world fantastic!Listening to this podcast just feels like you’re curled up on a comfy sofa talking and laughing with your sisters or friends. They each have their own unique opinions and ways of delivery so it’s something for everyone. You can tell how they interact how much they love and adore each other. Alaina is so smart, I love her perspective and how much she researches and is so science based. Ash is a breath of fresh air and a dose of adorable youth with her more emotionally based research. Their banter is absolutely charming. They are so kind and respectful and also hilariously real. They would be hilarious just reading a grocery list. Give them a listen, join the rest of us weirdos. Please NEVER stop singing, Ash!
-
champstfu66Just to make it clearJust listened to the Michael Suzanne Carson case and just wanted to put it out there that they absolutely do not represent Islam whatsoever. Allah absolutely does not just tell people to go do things. We also don’t believe in demons or trying to stop spirits. We believe in jinn which are a creation with free will like ourselves to choose what life they live. (Extremely interesting topic to learn about btw) Also murder is always bad. The Quran says to kill one person is as if you have killed all of humanity. These people were psychotic, not Muslim. On another note absolutely love the show and have been listening since the very beginning! Ash and Alaina will make you feel like a sister and I will always support them ♥️
-
Icesis7Must ListenMorbid podcast with Alaina and Ash is a captivating blend of true crime storytelling and humor in the right places. Their chemistry makes even the darkest topics engaging. Each episode is well-researched and entertaining, providing a fresh take on chilling stories. A must-listen for true crime enthusiasts!

JonRiv0329YALL FELL OFFWhen I first started listening to this podcast about a year and a half ago, it was amazing. The stories were interesting the way they would relay the information was easy to keep up with, but now it has all gone downhill. The content now is over saturated with ads, and the random tangents the hosts go on really make it hard for listeners to keep track of the information being explained. They drop episodes months after recording so the stuff they talk about in the beginning tends to be old news and I lose interest quickly. It’s like they got big and successful and couldn’t care less about the quality of their work. Shame on yall
-
OT_AlyHDifferent format - and I love them for it!!!Morbid is my favorite podcast. Like Ash, the banter at the beginning is my favorite part and if you don’t like their format then there are plenty of other true crime podcasts to listen to that are straight story telling. These ladies do it BETTER by taking a difficult topic and making it lighthearted and respectful to all involved. It took me 2-3 episodes to get used to the style but I have been hooked ever since and now tend to prefer the more banter heavy / spooky episodes that I used to skip! Also as someone who needs them I am so grateful for the trigger warnings! Give them a try, these ladies are great at making you fall in love with everything they do. Thanks weirdos - follow whatever content makes you happy, I promise your followers will follow you ❤️
-
anthro_chickThe ONLY Podcast to Listen To!I’m always watching crime documentaries but never podcasts. Never understood them. On a whim, I opened this app and Morbid was one of the first to pop up. Played the first episode and I’ve been hooked ever since! I’ve tried others but no one else can compare! I have more than 500 episodes to catch up on, but I am slowly making my way through. Love you guys and keep it weird!
-
Jolyn66GreatLove listening! Work 12 hour days (mostly non stop driving) and this podcast has made my work days enjoyable… was doing a lot of audio books but this is so much better! Reading some of the reviews and agree with some but you know what !don’t knock down the rating just because they do tend to talk to much ( I have gotten confused and had to re start the episode because I got lost in what they where talking about because to far off topic) Just hit the ff and skip the talking. They do research very well and are informative!
-
dirtyplatapusAre we… best friends?I love this show so much. You’ve kept me company during SO MUCH LAUNDRY. Thank you for your service. I have to say, I DID low key keep listening when I saw Alaina spelled her name the same as me (my middle name). To sound like a broken record - I really appreciate how you present these stories. Informative, respectful and doesn’t cross over into (as South Park put it) “murder porn” is admirable.
-
KeelyBryantLove LOVE LOVEEEE morbidThe people that hate this podcast have got to me old folks who honestly should probably listen to dateline. It’s 2025, we don’t want monotone podcasters anymore and Alaina and Ash are the best at what they do!
-
Briana@87The best weirdosYou two weirdo queens got me addicted to podcasting.
-
Reese frianoFavesI love these girl they remind me of me and my niece, that’s what got me to listen. I love their relationship and listening to what’s going on in their lives. They are so relatable and I love that 🤗
