    Copying other Podcasts
I see their content lately has been copying other small podcasts.

    Christian bashing
They just talk about random stuff the whole podcast and make their political views and anti Christian views known and there’s no need for it.

    Can’t do it any more
I have no idea why it is titled “Morbid” when they rarely go into details about the actual murder. They gloss over details just because they can’t stomach the facts. They went downhill and let their “fame” go to their heads. Please stop saying exacTly the way you do and keep your political views out of true crime podcasts.

The story about Teddy— I got chills over my whole body when it got to the song that was playing. That is so amazing 😭

    Newcomer loving it!
Just came across your show a few weeks ago and I’m loving how well researched and informative your show has been. I’m personally obsessed with the serial killer episodes.

Hi Queen Weirdos, I just wanted to take a minute as I just listened to this episode and I did go to college in Potsdam, NY and I heard you say a lot that "this was just the '80's and now a days they have the police on campus." This none of what you said should happen "now a days" is true of Clarkson University. Going to college in a town with both State and Private Universities I learned all too quickly this is just a difference with private universities. On the state campus I attended our UP were state troopers where even in 2016 Clarkson had no police officers on campus and the UP on campus were only security guards not trained to do anything and with no connection to the police. They were a joke and things went wrong all the time and they were not respected among the student population. Later on in the episode you say the Snell family was well known. They are not just well known there is both the old Snell Hall now owned by Clarkson University, but originally part of SUNY Potsdam until Potsdam state abandoned the building gifting it to Clarkson (built in 1816 as part of the original campus) and the current Snell Hall on the SUNY Potsdam campus today both paid for by the Snell family. For more fun facts Old Snell Halls basement is where the boiler room scenes of the Nightmare on Elm Street were filmed and the building is super haunted. I was a stage manager for the Clarkson Theater Company and I often was in the building's theater alone and every time I was the stage lights would dance on their own. The dancing stage lights would have no power to them and still dance and light up the whole theater.

My first & most favorite TC Podcast
Updated my review from 5 to 3 stars — *Perfect example of mass production and big business ruining yet another great thing! Since they joined Wondery, the true crime episodes are less and less, the collaboration/guest episodes are boring, (I skip every single one) and the listener tales are way too often. I liked them as a break every once in a while but not every week. It feels like a sell out, but I don’t mean that on a personal level. Plus the cases feel rushed and less impactful than they used to feel, more soapbox-y or old-timey, which makes it hard to listen. I still listen to each true crime one and know that there must be some part of this that is out of their control with the Wondery contract, but they should cut them loose and go back to their roots. I listen to their other podcast, The Rewatcher, and it feels like the old days of morbid almost… bc they are on topic yet still themselves… I miss the old Morbid podcast.* Ash and Alaina have gotten me through so many boring shifts, long (and short) car rides and emotionally draining days. Whenever I turn on Morbid, I am instantly invested in the story because I know that it is thoroughly researched and more importantly, that Ash and Alaina genuinely care about honoring and remembering the victims in each case. Thank you for always being podcasters that go above and beyond for your listeners and for the victims whose stories you share! ♥️

    LOVE this podcast
I’ve been listening to this podcast for years to get through my long days at work and I’m obsessed. I love the relationship you two have and I can’t wait every week for a new episode. I’ve even moved over to scream! And the rewatcher just to get more from you guys. Keep up the good work, absolute hands down my favorite podcast

If you don’t like the talking before hand.. I just learned to press play then walk away for about 20 mins then you can back up the podcast to when the actually start the show. Don’t listen if you don’t like swearing . I’m Christian . Don’t listen if you care they don’t like Christian’s. You just have to pray for them. Most stories are good but I often wonder if they aren’t good enough to cover current stories .. they do do a lot of current ones.
  • Grammarfreak4686
    Enough with the spooky stuff
I get it, it’s Halloween. A couple spooky episodes is fine but I’ve lost interest with this recent barrage of ghost stories.

    Other Reviewers can SCREW OFF
All the Christians complaining about “Christian bashing”—Alaina and Ash are incredibly respectful about saying “We don’t believe but if you do, that’s your belief” and they do not bash your religion. You just can’t handle criticism. Or the fact that your religion has caused more death than any other in history. The person complaining about vocal fry: Babe, we call that a raspy voice. Ash just has one. Grow up and don’t bother listening if it upsets you that bad. The podcast is phenomenal and I love them. They are the only true crime podcast I listen to because they give the victims respect and honor their memory while sharing the story.

This would be soooo much better but I feel the one girl forces saying the F word way to much , it sounds so unnatural. Sometimes that word fits but she feels like it makes her sound “cooler” to say it all the time when it’s not needed.
  • kfhkgdjkhc
    Love you Gals!!
Keep up the good work 🖤🖤 P.S. I love all the vocal fry, Christian bashing and cussing 🤣
  • EmStec
Great content/ lots of chit chats
I usually love a good friend dynamic for hosts but these two spend a lot of time talking about personal stuff. It’s like hanging out with old friends and you’re not in on the inside jokes.
  • Dr. Bocktor
    Eh…
I like the stories, but their constant sidebar and laughter don’t make the stories scary at all. Plus the narrator’s voices sound like basic high school girls. I can only handle so much at a time. Also, especially in their earlier episodes, the sound is awful. They’ll both be talking but one of them will be super loud and up close to the mic, while the other is like whispering in the corner of the room. Having to go up and down with the volume so I can hear the story while preventing my ears from bleeding is super annoying. Also, they cuss like two children that have been left alone unsupervised and are trying to sound cool. Finally, Wikipedia is NOT a source. Kinda upsetting that this is referenced as a source multiple times.

    What happened to True Crime?
Used to love listening to this podcast every day. Now it seems each episode is everything BUT true crime??
  • Love.Zombie
Too many political opinions and Christian bashing
I listened for years and got tired of all the Christian bashing. I decided not to support anymore and I don’t think you should either.
  • stormileeb
    love love LOVE morbid 🤟🏼
i’m annoyed with the reviews on this podcast, all they talk about is the joking of christianity and cussing. the ones leaving these reviews are just proving the point that christian’s push their religion on all americans 😂 i just think it’s a little silly, not everyone believes in the same things. i love you weirdos!!! all the cases that most don’t hear about without you two talking about is amazing, keep being genuine 💕

Don’t Sleep On The Listener Tales
Morbid is a household name here. The only good thing that came out of being house bound during COVID lockdowns circa 2020 was me discovering that purple app on my phone that brought me Morbid. Entertaining, great story telling, and victim conscious.

    Addictive
Taking a minute to say thanks for all your clever and hilarious banter and bone chilling content. I find myself waiting for the next episode like a kid waiting to open a present. The listener tails or very often spectacular which says a lot about your audience. Kudos.

    Just tell the story…..
Too much random ranting. Also “drew” is not a boy. There’s no way this podcast has 4.5 stars, how?? All the ratings are bad. Take a hint! Stop swearing and be adults.
  • Kkravty92
Good material, not the best delivery
Like many of the other reviews here, I agree that the stories are good, I listen for the true crime. But the really long intros, Christian bashing, and excessive cursing is what takes this from a 5 star to a 2.5-3 star show. Wish they would listen to some of the reviews that state this instead of calling people who say these things haters or saying they’re just being rude.

Love the girls love the show but where are my subscriber early lW+ episodes app on apple
(Us Patrounus are screwed and we put them on the map. Wondery isn’t wonderful for the podcast either Thanks for fixing this and reaching out I feel validated I love m’y Ashcentic episodes. Alaina the book is the bombastic) More Ashcentic more books Alaina Update : Wondery on Apple worked out great after all and these two are the Queens of true crime I’ve been listening since episode three. Obviously I have gone back to listen to the first two episodes but I am so excited to watch them grow into something so incredible. The collaborations are amazing I really do miss the episodes like haunted lighthouses and urban legends and such but the show is just amazing and I really enjoy the show as soon as it drops I am on it The “old times” Hollywood stories are my very favorite episodes besides listener tales. From you for you and all about you. Keep it weird but not so weird that you don’t listen to morbid I want my new episodes to show up
  • Springle1987
    House of flying objects
This was probably one of my favorite episodes. I was cracking up at the office. I’m sure my coworkers thought I was crazy. Your guys portrayal of a Boston women was hilarious!

    Weirdos for life
This is the true crime podcast you listen to when you want to feel like you’re hanging out with your friends and they’re telling a super interesting story. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t even notice the “cussing” mentioned in other reviews lol. The show manages to feel cozy and creepy at the same time and I love it. Keep it up weirdos! 🫶🏻

    Hello….?
Hello ladies, I just wanted to stop by and say I really love your podcast. I’m a huge fan of as I lovingly call them “ murder” podcasts…. lol but I do listen to a lot of true crime pod casts. When I came across yours I wasn’t sure I’d like it because I normally don’t like the ones where the hosts banter alot, but you 2 are one of the few exceptions! I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to your podcasts, during one part in the Manson podcast “ yes I’m starting with the early episodes “ I laughed outloud and my co-worker asked me if I was ok…. lol So I just wanted to say thank you for keeping such a deep dark subject matter “fun and light” and having an amazing podcast!!! Sincerely, Christine

Been listening since the beginning and still my favorite. I LOVE the banter, the cussing, and the tangents. I feel like Ash and Alaina are my friends 🥰 Keep doing what you do!! ❤️

    Best Podcast!
I recently stumbled upon this podcast on accident. I started listening to recent episodes and loved the “weirdos” so much I went back and started listening from the beginning. I am obsessed! They do a great job with the background and facts, the banter is hilarious, and they pick the best cases and stories. I am a true fan!

    Best podcast ever
I love this podcast. I listen almost every day and love the topics covered. I never want to run out of episodes.
  • Koren83
    Morbid girlies!!!!
Love the podcast!! I have listened to all of the episodes at least twice and I tune in every week for the new ones. Thanks for being you. Keep on keeping on!!!
  • MyKidGetsAllTheApps
    Meh
These cases are interesting but the hosts have a lot of unhelpful banter and a lot of fake sympathy. Also stop saying “quote un quote!”
  • BRANDo1917
    Love this podcast
This podcast is such a fun listen!!
  • ChiodoDragon71
    Too much chatter
Their podcasts could actually be 10 minutes if you took out all the side talk and nonstop swearing. They remind me of two high school goth girls who never grew up.
  • 1019anonymous
    Unintelligent
I tried to listen to one episode that sounded interesting upon reading the description. Much of the episode is irrelevant and uninformed tangents. They also cuss a lot which detracts from the reporting immensely. I’ll opt to go read an article on the subject.
  • MSfromKY
    Morbid
    Too much giggling for me.
  • Bamboo199
    😐
Too much off topic banter at the start of each episode. And Ash, please stop interrupting Alaina when it’s her tale!
  • Cocosun90
    Not for me
Too much side talk. Get to the story faster. Too much giggling.
  • Annabelle Sears
    Love you weirdos!
Please don’t pay any mind to the reviews where they complain about conversation or giggling. I listen to your podcast for that very reason. I’m not always interested in the particular story but I’ll still listen and enjoy it because of you two. I just adore the both of you. You make me laugh. It’s like tuning in to friends. Never change. Love you guys. Ann

    My FAVORITE
I understand that these two ladies aren’t for everyone. But my lord are they MY FAVORITE. I love hearing about the hosts and the banter. It makes me feel more connected to the show as a whole. Not to mention they do such a phenomenal job at their research and storytelling. The foul language is also not for everyone but I personally love it because I am the same way. My absolute pleasure to listen to these wonderful ladies. Thank you ♥️
  • partyweasel1
    Love the show!
I just start listening a few weeks ago and I’m binging from the beginning.... Really loving the atmosphere of this podcast, it feels like i’m just discussing things with friends :’). Update from 6/7/21: I’m listening to the Bailey Sarian collab & I’M SCREAMING!!! My 3 favorite true crime ladies are finally togetherrrrrrr!!! Update from 10/15/24: I fell behind on this during the pandemdem, but I’m happily catching up & can still confidently say I love this show! Love these spooky ladies AND their banter. If you don’t like banter, then go be boring somewhere else!
  • Toughmuffin 39
Love the show but when it comes to religion it’s a little ehh
Love this podcast it’s super informative yes there is a lot of banter I personally don’t mind it I actually like it. The only thing I don’t like is when it come to traditional religion (catholic, Christianity, ect.) I find the way they talk about it is almost mocking or talking down on it and not accepting of the religion. But don’t worry if your a Satanist or atheist they will talk very highly about it and promote those. (You do you) But if you are more traditional religion you’ll just have to deal/ ignore the mockery or just don’t listen to this one. I find it unnecessary it’s part of the story, the mockery and talking down is not necessary but if that’s how you want to run your podcast whatever. But other that that I find this podcast amazing
  • Britty0009
    Love these ladies
Feels like I’m hanging out with my friends . I don’t see eye to eye with them in everything but they also don’t shove it down your throat . They are hilarious and really do their research ! I’m so picky about the voices on podcasts and I have been listening to these ladies non stop all summer and never get tired of them !
