WhitRyKrieZeKai1718Uncommon Type 8I love getting to hear type 8’s and how they move through the world. I also am a female 8 and can relate to a lot of what is discussed… however I am a cryer! 🤣 I don’t know if it’s cuz I am a woman, because I was raised by a type 4 mom, or just because I am so intense and passionate about what I care about but after breaking through my hard exterior I have a really gooey middle! I am a nurse and after being in health care for 22yrs caring for those at their most vulnerable I often find myself tearful with them! Thanks for all your work on the enneagram I love the podcast. -I started looking into this work yrs ago wanting to learn how to better deal with my mom and her vastly different personality from my own!- -Whit

ThelinsterBest 5 info I’ve ever heardThe quick (16-minute) episode on empathy for type 5 is the most accurate thing I’ve heard about 5s. And the most understanding and compassionate. I listened because a zoom group I just joined has been going through the triads; I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. So yeah, I’ve just listened to one episode. It won’t be the last. Highly recommend.

Joel and Jim FanTop Pick! This podcast is always bringing fresh perspective, and I love the way Joel and Jim unpack enneagram wisdom. You won’t want to miss the emails either, as they always seem to bring an idea or topic that stops me in my tracks and makes me reflect. I truly look forward to seeing a new episode pop up or a new email in my inbox.

Eden + MainSo grateful!Thank you Art of Growth team for your willingness to bring awareness to people through the enneagram. I’m a sexual 4 and I’m so thankful to all 4’s for being open about our perspective through these panels. :)

Alliehope18FantasticI love this podcast! Definitely one of the best enneagram podcasts out there.

Healing childhoodType 9 hereI think this is my favorite enneagram podcast out of the 15 I’ve found!!
-
abasjewelFantastic resource for growth!I love these podcasts! Joel and Jim are a gift. Their insight is both helpful and kind. What stands out—to me—is that they let each person have a voice and share how they show up in the world. Also, each time I listen my curiosity towards myself and others grows.

BEINGANINEBFDENNEAGRAM PANELI enjoy this podcast. However, it seems to be no diversity on these panels. There are people of many diversities interested in the Enneagram. Diversify so this important, compelling topic isn’t caged as being one for one ethnicity.
-
EEZekisFantastic resourceThese podcasts are what I reach to most in helping people to determine their enneagram type and subtype. I listen to all the type panels to help me understand myself and the people around me. Thank you for making this resource, and to every panelist who shares themself!
-
AbnonymousType 4 episodesThere’s like 1 in 4 type 4s on the episodes that are focused on the type 4. It would be great if they were vetted better, but it might not be in the interest of your time, so I don’t think this is the podcast for me.

Fidget917Rich and organic!Listening to this podcast has given me such a better understanding of the Enneagram. I love how Joel and Jim allow the panels to bring organic content not scripted at all. As I listen to all the types discussing their specific experiences with the different topics; I have gotten better clarity in knowing and understanding my own type and it’s also given me grace for the other types. The episodes that don’t include panelists are also rich and full of good content. This is a great place to start your enneagram journey.

1983 Denver Bronco fanExcellent podcastIf you want to lean more about your enneagram type, listen to this podcast. When you want to understand another enneagram number, listen to this podcast and you will get a new perspective and start to understand life from another enneagram number. Thanks!

CoreySprRecommend OftenThe hosts are very knowledgeable and have good co-hosting chemistry. The content is thought-provoking. My favorite episodes are the panels, which I recommend often to my clients, especially after I conduct a typing interview.
-
ABbabiesPanel discussions to make you feel seenI love this podcast. I especially love the panels. Thank you.
-
leapyearlukeGreat Enneagram content!I jumped into this podcast while looking for content about subtypes. I have not been disappointed! I’ve learned a lot about myself, others, and the instincts in general.
-
beautitreasuresEnneagram HeavenA friend told me about this podcast and I’ve taken a deep dive listening to about 20 episodes in the last month. These podcasts are gold! And I’ve saved over 15. Wonderful barely scratches the surface.

RebeccarphLife Changing growthAfter discovering the Enneagram last year my daughter found this AoG podcast and shared with me. Jim and Joel are the real deal and have helped me understand the steps to take for growth of my type (3 1:1). I recently began working with Jim and in one hour session on zoom was able to have more insight and tools for growth than I had with weeks of talk therapy. The fact that he understands my type allowed us to go deeper immediately. Best coaching (therapy) of my life! Loving the instincts by type series... can’t get enough of this!

GinngirlrnEngaging, interesting and connectedArt of Growth hosts a fantastic podcast. The content is relevant and presented in a way that is easy to digest, as well as entertaining and enjoyable. If the goal is to impact listeners and improve understanding around the human condition as described through the Enneagram, they have knocked it out of the park. Love it!
-
IlovcowsCan’t get enoughThere is so much information out there on Enneagram and I really like these guys approach and their take on all of this. I was especially blown away by the next level Spiral Dynamics as it relates to the Enneagram. So glad to have this podcast to keep me growing.

Sarah BaylesLoveLove this podcast so much!!!! So much depth and new information. Keep it coming!
-
sroseartIncredibly helpful!I have listened to a number of Enneagram podcasts and have found the Art of Growth to be one of the best in terms of helping me understand the nuances of the tool. I also have researched the enneagram for years and could not land my type, or stick with one type, until I received coaching from Joel. He provided such valuable insights and helped me more fully understand the instincts and subtypes, even though I had previously spent time reading about both. Within the first half hour of our coaching session, my type became clearer to me. My questions were answered and my confusion was eliminated. Highly recommend both the podcast and the excellent coaching I received!
-
LeahninjaLeeMind blowing conversations! Thanks for all the conversations you’ve initiated and invited us all into. This is the ART! Conversation, not information. And with more conversations becomes growth! Boom! Mind blowing in this day as we hear no one listening to each other! *As a 3w4 I’m laughing because I wasn’t satisfied with what I was writing for my review... and it dawned on me. I’m trying to make it THE BEST review you’ve ever read! Haha! So, I put my 3 aside to be authentic and just say what I want to say. This is the GROWTH!

timl81My go to podcast for the commuteI’m trying to understand myself and my world around me, and this show has helped me understand so much, and there’s still so much more to learn. I listen to the show as I’m driving the 45 min each way to work and home. Love their compassion and appreciation for each and every person.

Talie WeirThe real dealJim Zartman is the real deal! Insightful, direct, full of wisdom, servant leader, articulate, with years of experience supporting people, and a beautiful relationship. He’s honest and down to earth.

MoriahMcLeodWhat is mine to own!Wow. Yes yes yes. So great. Valuable information. (Reminded me of a book I read in school called Keep Your Love On.) Boundaries in love... Takes off so much obligation and guilt in life.

Clarity CollectiveGreat content!I listened to several episodes, and my favorite was "The Enneagram and Culture" which was recorded in September 2019. It was recorded during a panel at the International Enneagram Conference. You might recognize Milton Stewart @doitforthegrampodcast as one of the panelists. The episode includes six panelists who share their experience being a person of color in the Enneagram field. They speak about having to legitimize their worth, feelings of loneliness in the work, and their desire for their children to be free and liberated. The panelists discuss the need for people of color to have spaces where they can do the inner work and the need for white people to shift their focus from inner work to outer work. And for white people who are really trying to do good work, one panelist said, "We don't want you to give up your privilege. We want you to leverage your privilege to change the system - to liberate all of us." The Art of Growth offers a variety of experiences to the listener, including interviews, conversations with each other, and panels. The hosts share general wisdom, in addition to wisdom of the Enneagram.

hollymac07Great if you’re a 2, 7 or 8I do like this podcast but I truly wish they would give an equal amount of focus on each number. The hosts consistently talk twice as long about their own numbers (2, 7 and 8) which is to be expected because we are all human. But, this podcast is supposed to be a way for all numbers to learn and grow. It’s unhelpful to spend less than 2 of the 38 minutes talking about other numbers and breeze along. Even more off putting is when the time is allotted to a less popular number: the first comment read off results in laughter from the two male hosts. Glad that you find people different than you so hilarious.

STKRBSThe Art of GrowthAs a therapist who uses the Enneagram in my practice I’m constantly learning about the different types. Joel & Jim consistently give me new insights to the various types. Definitely one of my top listened to podcast and one I highly recommend to my clients! ~Kelley Bailey, M.Ed., LPC

mcm bluebirdGreat for this 5I’ve been looking for podcasts to delve more deeply into my type, but found most to be silly or too generic/stereotyped to keep my attention. This did not disappoint! Would have loved if the panel had at least one woman as a type 5 women deals differently and is perceived differently because of the processing of emotions. Also, the woman cackling in the background is distracting.
-
withinthyselfAmazing podcastVery informational and helpful, a positive spin to the personality types and many real life examples

anti soical but not really. Finally!!!!!!!!!After listening to many other podcasts and reading books, I was always on the fence on with my enneagram number. Because they seemed to be very general and kinda stereotypical. After listening to the panel discussion I found that I really related to the people and was constantly shaking my head in agreement with everything they were saying.. The panel is a mix of the wings and found myself aligning with that same wing of mine.... thank you for putting this together I definitely feel a lot better knowing there are others like me lol
-
C FarrareRefer this Enneagram the Most!I so appreciate the panel style of this podcast as it highlights individuals within a type and subtype can and will appear different based on cultural upbringing, family of origin, experience and many other factors. The questions asked are well thought out and open to discovery rather than validation of a point. Great job, Joel & Jim! I am a big fan.
-
kurtcobaincrushGreat resource on enneagramThis is a great enneagram resource. The only caveat is you have to be ok with the religious talk. Sometimes I’m just not ok with listening to speakers taking about “worship” and “prayer” which are words that scare me because of the historical alignment with closed off perspectives and conservative politics. The religious content isn’t prevalent and sometimes doesn’t even appear on the shows, but when it does, it’s enough for me to stop listening to some episodes. That said this is still a great enneagram resource. I’ve enjoyed it a lot.

more_cashews_pleaseEnneagram podcast with integrityThis is a fantastic podcast that really dives into the intricacies of the enneagram. It provides thoughtful, intellectual, spiritual, and at times humorous insights into the enneagram. I highly recommend this podcast!

Paul B2019Finally a podcast with a balanced perspective on enneagramI've listened to maybe a half dozen enneagram podcasts since I got interested in the enneagram this summer. WIth The Art of Growth, I finally found one that I feel is grounded in real experiences of people. Season 1 was helpful for me to identify myself as I could listen to all of the people speaking about their own experiences. I found this more helpful than taking any tests which tended to be ambiguous anyways. Season 2 on growth supplemented my understanding of types by pointing to areas where we might grow. Again listening to the panels helped me see how with even more depth my type. I've yet to listen to Season 3 but look forward to it. Keep up the good work!
-
AAndronisAmazing! This is the first podcast I started listening to after discovering the Enneagram and I am so thankful I did! They have given me so much more than I think they can even imagine. I am learning so much about myself, to not only grow but truly dig deep down and dig myself out of a rut. Plus - the topics are amazing and great to listen to!!! Great job and keep up the amazing work you are doing!
-
AbigaailllllREALLY well doneI’ve been on the Enneagram train for over 2 years and this is one of the best resources I’ve found—I really appreciate hearing from the types themselves, and having a diverse panel is SO helpful. These guys do what they do very well.
-
CrystalgrifVery informativeI’m a new fan! Discovering the Enneagram has helped me have more grace for everyone. It’s so enlightening! This podcast has put real people and real stories to the number definitions which is very helpful to understanding how we are all just being normal inside of our own minds. It’s so cool!
-
IsraelklossNew to EnneagramI’m New to the Enneagram but I’ve been struck by listening first to Jim and Abby’s combined presentation and then multiple enneagram types and then I was so deeply moved by Jim’s reference to a musician who writes about the types, that after I heard the song for my type I was surprised to feel tears in my eyes and just put my head in my hands for a while. I still haven’t listened again because, well, I’m and 8 and I don’t know what to do with that level of feelings. It was like the musician was watching my childhood. Amazing podcast. Thank you.
-
lauren2019!So encouraging + insightful!I love learning about the enneagram and the different types and wings. As a type 4, hearing the panel really made me feel like I’m not alone & there really are others who understand why I think and feel the way I do. It encourages me to keep moving forward. I love listening to the other types and understanding types that are similar and who aren’t similar! I’d love to hear more about relationships, pros and cons, etc. for each type. Great podcast! 🖤

Justin272727Potentially Bogus?I have had some good insights from this show. It’s very professionally done. You should know, they try to not talk about it so much, but this is a Christian show. The thing I find most disconcerting is that they sometimes insert a bed of soothing ambient music under “inspirational” parts of the show. That strikes me as manipulative and odd. I feel potential listeners should know this going in.
-
Pinkie from TexasHelpfulI have really gleaned some insight into listening to a panel of a particular number. Thanks for letting them talk! It is helpful for me as I try to love a little better!
-
tss310Great panel discussionsListened on the road and enjoyed the wonderful insights
-
Puzzle ConvertThoughtful and informativeI've been learning the Enneagram for a few years now and I love hearing from the panelists about their experience in their numbers. The team behind this podcast has done a great job of gathering a variety of panelists and asking thoughtful questions.
-
agerr711Engaging, helpful, realOne of the most helpful Enneagram podcasts I’ve found. Especially for people who are not Christian, they are full of real people talking about their experiences of each number, with good questions asked and helpful suggestions. I’ve shared this show with so many people!
-
kkpaper.comGreat podcastThoughtful, well lead, thorough. You can see that Joel and his team care about both learning the Enneagram more deeply and about the people they invite onto the show.
-
JDavidReallyLove the content, sound needs a lot of work.I love this podcast, but on almost every panel the sound quality is terrible, frequencies sound way off, hard to hear people, always hear background noise of random people laughing, other voices louder the others...etc. Work on the recording quality portion of this podcast and it would be a 5/5.
-
VicABossExcellent Enneagram insight and coaching!!Love the panel discussions to give different perspectives even within each number! The additional coaching is also extremely helpful!
-
FirecrackerGoLove The panels!8 thinking the 8 panel members were a bit much. 😂 requesting a redo. With not so preachy 8’s.
-
LauxymouseInsightful!Love this podcast! Can’t wait for their ’growth for #8’ panel!!
