Incredible podcast resource for learning and communing virtually with incredible hosts!
I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to 5 episodes so far. The topics, hosts, and approaches are spot on. Inclusive and insightful. This has rooted me, among many tools, as I embark on my witch’s journey.

    Synchronicities
I found this podcast a couple years ago specifically because I was wanting to explore tarot as a meditation + journaling tool, so I started at the beginning with the Strange Magic episodes and then have mostly been listening in chronological order, but v slowly bc I don’t do podcasts often. I’ve been waiting to leave a review for when I caught up more. But today while I was listening to the episode with Dr. David Shorter about wands, flowers, + singing deer - I saw two spotted fawns on the side of the road and that’s just the kind of magic that has cropped back into my life since I began listening. I know I’m not the only one to turn to magic + tarot when healing from a brutal battle with the patriarchy and it is immensely gratifying + beautiful that there’s a podcast that both provides exactly the content I was *seeking*, as well as exactly *what my soul needs*. Thanks so much for helping me remember I’ve always been a witch + how to reignite my magic. ✨

    Tarot ritual
I pull a tarot card on the full Moon each month and my personal tarot ritual wouldn’t be complete if I couldn’t listen to Amanda’s in depth explanations after getting my initial feel for the card. I love hearing what she has to say about each card. It’s such a thorough analysis and I love that she brings in guests to bounce ideas off of each other. Top notch podcast!

    A must-listen for me!
I don’t think I fully realized how much I have relied on this podcast to help me understand the tarot until today when I went looking for an episode on the knight of wands and couldn’t find one. The cultural background, whether it’s an exploration of myth, poetry, or pop culture, is unparalleled and such a joy to listen to. Thank you, Amanda!

    Dance Magic Dance!
A dear friend of mine turned me onto this podcast a wee bit ago when I was going through a rough patch to say the least (I literally drew The Tower just about every other day). Thanks to this podcast my understanding and connection to the tarot has exponentially grown. Whenever I’m not quite sure what the cards are saying or simply need a pick me up this is where I turn. Amanda’s insight and love speak so clearly throughout every episode, every guest is a new source of enlightenment, and the laughs of truth and understanding commonly accompany me throughout my listening. Beyond helping my relationship to the cards I have found synchronicities to needs I was unaware of along my journey. This podcast has become a Rosetta Stone for my soul and I shall forever be grateful to Amanda and Carolyn for all their hard work. Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much you amazing witches of eternity!!!

The most fun tarot podcast 💕
Amanda’s stories are cotton candy to my ears. It’s truly a delight to look through the archive to listen to the episode related to the card that’s confusing to me that day, which is everyday. Thank you Amanda and Caroline for all your light. So needed!

    Happy Travels 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Wow, I love Between the Worlds podcast! In my heart, I have adopted this show as my big sister witch and mentor, who I’ve enjoyed many a cup of tea with while listening to the fresh and deep insights of magical interviews and beloved research dives with AYG solo-episodes (my favorite). Themes range from witchcraft, myth, tarot, activism, the erotic, and more deliciousness, while being fun and exploring subjects from an eco-feminist, queer, decolonial, and mythopoetic lens. It has been such a pleasure to learn from Amanda and Carolyn, they are the dream-team and their membership community is lovely. As a listener, I’ve drawn countless inspiration and comfort from all the love and soul-work poured into this beautifully crafted production (shout-out to CPR). I’m grateful for all the enchantment being offered each episode; the wisdom feels timeless and every lesson shared is heartwarming. *chef’s kiss!* I look forward to re-indulging with my journal at hand for note-taking! I’ve recommended BTW to my nearest and dearest, as well as artists, lovers of myth and the arcane, and anyone who enjoys a good time. The best way to learn more is by giving BTW a listen :)

    Great Content…Mostly
I love this podcast except for the political commentary. We get it shoved down our throats everywhere we turn. It doesn’t need to be here too.

    Oh My Goodness
Amanda. Is so special. She is truly a Witch and works magic. The way she weaves her words, the way she understands the astrology like the back of her hand…. She is a living vibration, to me, of grandmothers and ancestors. And her somatic practice and real magical practice and spiritual practice is so apparent in how she ties it all together. I grew up Christian, and I am FEASTING here on this podcast (and via her amazing Substack) with SO, so so much gratitude. 🙏🏽 Amanda you bring life to my soul.

I can’t believe how much I have learned here
I’ve been listening to this podcast since 2021 when I was really just starting to pull cards regularly. I remember feeling so overwhelmed with how much there was to learn. Flash forward to now and this podcast has taught me so much about tarot, history, mythology, archetypes, and exposed me to some pretty cool people as well. Between the Worlds has given me the most amazing foundation to draw from in my tarot practice and I could not be more grateful. Thank you Amanda and Carolyn!

Great Representation in the Spiritual Community
Amanda & her team do a great job in being inclusive and transparent in the spiritual community. The topics range and are very interesting. Very relevant and current. The podcast dives into the essence of being a Witch. Thank you for being so open on the guests that come on!

    A Treasure
I have been listening to this podcast for a couple of years and I find myself learning something new all the time. This podcast has been such a great life companion for me. I enjoy learning about the Tarot with Amanda and her guests. This show has taught me to look at Tarot in a whole new different way. I also really enjoy the pop culture references given at the end of the show :)

    Incredible podcast!
I was definitely interested in tarot before I found Between the Worlds, but I couldn’t really find my way in. I LOVE Amanda and Carolyn’s approach, and the focus on mythology really allowed me to connect with the cards in a way I hadn’t been able to before. Every episode is so dense with references, and the combination of Amanda’s storytelling and Carolyn’s otherworldly music make for a really immersive listening experience. The guests are always fascinating, and I really appreciate that this show is made by queer witches committed to anti-capitalism, anti-colonialism and anti-racism. Would highly recommend becoming a monthly subscriber because the workshops are amazing!

My daily go to tarot podcast
Since this podcast was recommended to me a few months ago I have listened to it just about everyday! I have a practice of pulling a tarot card daily in the morning as I am newer to tarot. During my commute I listen to the Between the Worlds episode that corresponds with the card I pulled that day. It is always meaningful, I love that different aspects of each card are discussed. The show fills my ears, mind and heart with magical positive vibes on my way into work. Perfect wait to start the day! Don’t stop this show! ✨ Xoxo, Amanda O

    My favorite podcast ever
Amanda is truly a gift to this world.. this podcast has done so much for me over the years. Amanda has shown me many ways to enchant my life - even while feeling like I’m being brutally dragged through the underworld. Amanda’s wide and super applicable knowledge of the tarot has gifted me such a rich perspective on how to approach the practice, and she’s become a big magical role model for me in my life. I’m so thankful for this human, this writer, this artist, this witch, and her podcast!

    Oh, weird…
So today I randomly (1st time in months) decided to pull a card or two. While clumsily shuffling, out jump 6 of swords & 8 of cups together all with their backs turned. I dialed those in to a podcast search for a long errands trip to the strip mall for cheap shoes, and this one comes up - episode 76 I think with Beth Pickins, with the attacking headline suggesting that maybe I should keep trying to learn to make art even though I’m definitely not good enough and have no right & no cohesive body of work and it’s never worked before lol. Right away listening it turns out I used to know the producer bc our bands used to play shows together a hundred years ago - hi CPR! It’s cryx from bunwinkies. been looking for something like homework club— maybe I’ll see ya over there. Charming pcast have the newest episode on deck

    Love love love
I was with my dear coworker with whom we became friends, and we were talking about land, our beginnings. Her visiting her parents’ homeland. We had been traveling/commuting a lot of short 30min one way trips regarding work and I asked her what are some podcasts she would recommend, for the road. Sometimes I want music, sometimes I need a stimulating conversation- an interesting topic. And I oscillate between the two! (Or a YouTube video or audio book : D) I listened to the podcast back in 2021 for the first time, my first and the most recently uploaded episode I encountered at the time was…about land! Even though many of the episodes have brought up that very important reality and theme and element of earth! I unearthed more episodes and was fascinated. Growing up I had known about witchy stuff through my aunt who was indeed a witch, from the Philippines. I was crying as a young baby and nothing would soothe me and my mom and grandmother were worried and my aunt said some words and spread some salt at the front sliding door and my mom told me I stopped crying like instantaneously. Super wow! And no one called her a witch, only my dad who had a keen way to have a spot on impression of people told my mom he thought she was a witch. Which I’m sure she was! Anyway I knew witchiness through my aunt and her ways and teachings even though I never explicitly called her that or really had a term for it growing up…and the tarot on the other hand! Only saw it through commercials with madame Cleo growing up or the tarot signs off freeways or random movies that included a tarot reader. That was my intermittent and limited exposure to it. This same friend who introduced me to the podcast, She gifted me my first tarot deck that same year for my birthday…and I didn’t really know what I was doing I would just admire the beauty of the cards and sporadically listen to the podcast. But as I developed a relationship with the deck and furthered my relationship with my intuition and my guides, ancestors, angels, all of the above and more! I went back to the beginning of the show, to the major arcana, and once completed I have chosen specific episodes based on card pulls or repeating cards..and chosen really any topics I’m called to listen to at the time..and it’s been utterly inexplicably inextricably beautifully amazing. All of my meanderings here really to say thank you for creating this podcast and every single moment into every single episode. The music. The conversations. You all have phenomenal sexy sounding voices too by the way, and that doesn’t hurt! Just really thank you all for sharing this creation with us all, I’m so very appreciative. It’s been a part of my journey as well and I’m constantly in awe and ever grateful <3

    Insightful
I was picking and choosing episodes that sounded good but stayed for the amazing insight on the tarot . The host/s and guest speakers are all amazing and inspiring. Love this podcast and I thought I hated podcasts in general too .

1200 mile road trip = 80% this podcast
I came for the tarot, stayed because everything. Initially I wasn’t sure if I was going to connect - I’ve listened to many tarot podcasts and nothing has stuck until now. I quickly realized after each episode I felt like I had tons to absorb and think about, even if there were points where I didn’t quite agree it opened up a real depth of tarot that I hadn’t reached. I appreciate the thought that goes into each deep dive. I just don’t get bored. I don’t identify as a witch, but the process of spells and intentions is relevant to me. I love tarot because of the perspective it provides and this podcast just magnifies the ways in which I connect with tarot. I was skeptical at first that these happy, chipper, California (haha, I am from SoCal) voices would be able to deliver. That was wildly unfounded. Love the juicy, wild ride every time.

    Deep and Generous!
This podcast shares a wealth of knowledge for all things esoteric! I’m shocked by how generous the show is with sharing its resources as communities seem to hoard their gifts these days for profit. Amanda has such a beautiful way of expressing herself through an array of topics. So grateful to have found this show and the Weird Circle.

Not only is this show lovely, entertaining, empowering, and edifying but it is, in my view, extremely important. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the wonderful, magical, sumptuous work of AYG. Thank you so much for this gift to the world. It truly is life changing.

My heart is full & I am grounded
The Phyllis Curott episode was the first time I’ve listened to this podcast (although I have been subscribed for about a month). I honestly have a hard time really actively listening, mostly because I have children running around all day, while I try to get work done. My mind is always elsewhere and I have to re-listen a few times just to pick up a lot of what was said. However, this episode was so engaging and interesting and I was completely lost and yet found in the words of Phyllis Curott. I was able to block out the noise and truly receive what I was needing to hear. And the hostess, Amanda, has such a soothing and dreamy voice that makes you smile immediately when she speaks. I felt at peace and full of joy. I realized my mind has been calm since pressing play. It was the first episode I heard, but it surely isn’t the last! I highly recommend!

    A treasure trove
Amanda is a gracious and erudite host, wide ranging in her interests and touchstones. Great guests, provocative conversations, resource-rich and also all the extra goodies, like ceremony and instruction. Feels like I’ve dropped into a juicy conversation and was invited to stay, learn and explore.

    Beautiful imagery
I am still in the process of listening to this (# 64) podcast, but thought you’d like to know just how right on you are with your intuition about springs being Source. In Arabic and Farsi they use the word ‘ayn with means eye but it also means spring (as in water) and Source! So there you have it. Perhaps you already knew that, but just in case you didn’t… By the way, yours is the most SATISFYING podcast I think I’ve every encountered. So rich with literary references but that alone would not be enough for me. You are a poet and a painter of passionate, perceptive, and powerful images splashed onto the screen of my imagination with playful pleasure prodding my pristine inner child to sheer delight! (I couldn’t resist)
  • RedRaven6
    My Favorite Podcast!!
I’ve been listening to Amanda and Carolyn’s podcast since it was Strange Magic. Between the Worlds continues to prove how much care and thought they put into every episode. I love the fact that Amanda pulls in mythology, pop-culture, psychology, art, poetry, music and nature into the episodes. She discusses so many facets of each card! And I love her voice, it’s soothing and sweet and she gets so excited when she talks about the things that interest her, that apply to the specific card that she’s talking about. Carolyn creates these beautiful, ethereal pieces of music that reflect the discussion of each episode and it further enhances the witchy, creative vibe. They make such a lovely team and truly, you learn so much by listening. It makes me so happy that there are open and loving witches out there like Caroline and Amanda who generously share their ideas and knowledge with the world!

    Great introduction to Tarot
I bought my first Tarot deck last spring and my sister sent me a link to this podcasts thinking that it might be helpful. She was right, this was truly wonderful. I have purchased books that I have heard mentioned, (including Amanda's book - I bought one for my sister too!) I love taking these Tarot journeys with Amanda and Carolyn . I am grateful for the preparation and research they do for each episode. The variety of information makes the podcast so interesting to listen to. The guests have been amazing too. Thank you for this all that you do and I can't wait for the next podcast!

    Love
Amanda Yates Garcia seems like a gorgeous human inside and out. It is truly a pleasure to listen to her speak. She speaks about the tarot with a real depth of knowledge, and it feels like she loves the subject and all things witchy. I also read her book, and I highly recommend it. All in all, I love this subject, love the energy Amanda brings to discussing it, and have enjoyed every minute I’ve spent listening to this podcast. This podcast space feels deeply welcoming and magical ❤️

    Great queer anti-capitalist trip
I have learned so much from Amanda (and Sarah) through this show's evolution. Tarot has become so much more accessible to me with their help! Great book recommendations for your mystical journey throughout too. I love the folklore and pop culture sections of the show, those anecdotes really stick with me and help me retain the tarot lessons I've learned. Also love the occasional random special guest episodes with less structure, always insightful anti-colonial/anti-capitalist guests. Appreciate Amanda's honesty as she works through her white/cis privilege in a public way and encourages white listeners to unpack our colonial histories.
  • Pondy777
    Affirming, Delicious and Super Healing
Amanda’s weaving of myth, history, modern witchcraft, spiritual inquiry and masterful storytelling as a way to understand and work with the Tarot is astonishing. This work is both direct and fully mystical, accessible, sultry, and crazy affirming for those of us called to the work of re-enchantment or those longing for re-enchantment in their own lives. The Universe is a story, as they say, and every episode is a detailed example of exactly how… such rich medicine for these immense times.
