Wives of Jannah: Islamic Relationship Advice

99

The goal of Wives of Jannah is to strengthen Muslim women and their marriages through Islamic based relationship coaching, programs, written work, and resources like this podcast. What guides me in my work are three words: mouda, rahmah, and sakinah- the three words used in the Qur'an to describe marriage in chapter 30: ayah 21 - those translate to love, mercy, and tranquility. Marriage is something you learn while in it which means none of us arrive in our relationships knowing exactly what to do. I hope this podcast can offer you some insight from my relationship coaching experience starting back in 2009. - Megan Wyatt

    I finally feel heard!!!!!
Alhamdulilah. This podcast has been absolutely amazing. I feel heard and understood. Everything she said is exactly what I’ve been feeling towards my husband. This podcast truly opened my eyes and my heart. It made me realize why I feel this way - why my husband and I are having the same reoccurring issues. Ive always thought that this issue is just in my marriage but when Megan mentioned it’s a VERY common issue amongst majority of marriages - I was relieved because I felt better knowing I’m not alone. The major differences between the masculine VS. feminine is something that’s not discussed as often as it should be - it’s so interesting to me the differences between a male and female (and how majority of us women feel this way). It truly shows the biological makeup of women are universally alike, and the biological makeup of men are also universally alike. SubhanAllah. I’ll be making my husband hear this too so he understands me better and sees things differently. Thank you Megan. I feel much better! Alhamdulilah.

The mentor I wish I had in my masjid
Megan’s approach is kind, gentle and fair. She has a way of validating while being firm with points that really resonates with me personally. My relationships have all become more authentic and I’ve learned to be more empowered in my life thanks to the lessons on her podcast, her Wives of Jannah library (I’ve done all the trainings) and I’m also a member in the onemeaningful life course. Highly recommend for lovers of personal development. Dip your toes in with this podcast, you won’t regret it. I recommend reading the titles of the episodes and choose one that applies to you.

    A treasure and blessing
So happy and grateful to find this speaker. I have listened to many Muslim speakers on the topic of marriage to help myself. Sister Megan is different. At first I thought, she won’t understand my issue because I am south Asian and I have a different cultural background. But after listening to her podcasts and her Marriage to Jannah class I truely believe she can help out ANYONE in their own unique situation. She is nonjudgmental, and her advice stemming from our deen is on point. Her years of experience and wisdom is truly a blessing. She is very unique and I feel like she is the perfect coach for me. Alhamdulilah

    Inspiring!
I love to listen to this podcast while cooking or alone in the car. Megan is so knowledgeable and clear. I feel like I have gained a lot of insight on myself and try to implement a lot of the points I’ve learned in my own marriage. As someone with a lot of anxiety, I tend to over react quickly, but now I try to see how I act from my husband’s perspective. Just over all a really great listen. Thank you, Megan. May Allah bless you.

    So insightful and helpful!!
These podcasts are incredibly insightful and helpful. Megan provides so many tips for bettering ourselves as Muslim women and wives that inevitably will also help the marriage. Her insights into men’s behavior and perspective is so insightful. I’ve listened to and read so many things about marriage, from Muslims and non-Muslims, and I’ve never understood things as clearly as I do now. For example, Megan’s descriptions of male authority over women and obedience truly changed my perspective and helped me understand men and Islam better. In some of the questions from wives that she reads, I would imagine what most people would recommend—divorce, ways to manipulate the husband to get better, etc—but Megan always surprised me with thoughtful perspectives in her answer. She truly shows that, as long as a man is not abusive, there is always hope for improvement and things a wife can do. I can’t wait to hear more and I’m going to recommend this to my friends. Thank you so much, Megan! ❤️
