    Thoughtful, intellectual, honest
Even though we are not aligned politically, I keep an open mind and learn quite a bit. I also feel that they are incredibly open minded. These kind of discussions, where people leave out the hate, and honestly seek solutions and insight are refreshing. This podcast helps me think and grow.

    Why blocking VPN?
For some reason the shows will not download when VPN is in use. This is a relatively new issue, but has been the case for months. And this is apparently a problem with the show, or with the show on Apple Podcasts. Other podcast shows are fine.

I had no idea how ridiculous these two were.
I listen to them on and off years ago and subscribe to their podcast. But good Lord is there a lot of nonsense being talked here. Weinstein. the whole trip to the dairien gap thing was hilariously suggestive yet content free. does Weinstein really believe that because immigrants make fun of him or don't want to talk to him, they're hiding some secret agenda? A lot of people make fun of him including actual scientists, so… Occam's razor, my man

    Actually
I’m a former student of BW. Of course, that doesn’t lend any more credibility than all the “sciencey” things that Bret and Heather claim to know about. Of Social politics they are even less qualified, but boy do they have a lot of opinions. And that’s fine, but I wonder what happened to these formerly interesting intellectuals? They were treated unfairly by Evergreen State College and then they went on a full scale intellectual war against the mob that tarred and feathered them - “the woke.”( I actually agree with some of their gripes about the illiberal left). I listened recently just to see where they were at and was actually surprised they have gone even further, doubled down, if you will, on the kerrazy obsession they have made a podcast out of. There’s definitely an audience for it on the right wing! Anyway, just listen to the “weird” segment of the last episode. I’m amazed they don’t get the not so subtle context of the “weird” comments from the so called “Blue Team.” And I just loved their acronym for w.e.i.r.d. Whoa Evolution Is Really Dumb. Just kidding, listen and hear for yourself.

    Great podcast
I appreciate the thoughtful and open conversations regarding various topics. I listen to this podcast when I need a calm and rational perspective and it is a welcome escape from the current chaos of our daily world.

You need to do your homework
I have been listening to this podcast for a year. Today I am done. Since you insist on spewing your opinions on workers compensation maybe you should understand the system at least in your own state. Most of their money is spent trying to prove people who are actually injured are faking it. I watched my husband whose case was very clear go through years of them trying to find a way around treating him. They do this to every one who files a claim. They fight and try to deny every diagnostic test to try to figure out what is wrong but will authorize pain pills. They have a full bench of doctors that do nothing but evaluate people and say they are fine when they aren’t. They spend millions trying to prove people are faking it. Your ignorant opinion and calling injured people losers makes me sick. Had Washington L&I spent a fraction of the money on diagnostic tests and treatment the likelihood of him fully recovering was good. By the time he had taken them to court for the 4th time and they gave up it was to late to repair the damage. I will be deleting you from my podcast list.

A comment you made about Twitter/X-bots not having any original content inspired me to reach out. I am not a bot but if you look though my account it’s filled with retweets and no original content. I use Twitter/X to see what people are posting but I myself do not post for fear I could get in trouble or even fired. I carefully craft any comments I do write. I’m a teacher in a public school and often feel I have to hide my political views from others given a large number of my coworkers are very far left. I don’t know how many people like me exist but I can’t be the only one. I enjoy your content and am edified by it. Please keep speaking up about the problems you see in the world. — Maria

    AI Bret??
Are the ad reads being done by an A.I. Bret with an Italian accent? That was so bizarre.

    Audience capture
This podcast stands for the proposition that “if you’re (sort of) an expert in one field, you are an expert in all fields”. Also, that certainty is a plus. Ugh.

    Team BLUE?
I never miss your podcast. Like ever. You all have been a beacon of light over the last two years of madness. I was dumbfounded when I heard Heather talk about Team Blue today. It was such an intellectual disconnect. The madness you have been highlighting… From the transgender movement to the WHO’s totalitarian policies to the Covid mandates to being deplatformed and censored???? These are ALL policies and practices advanced almost exclusively by Team Blue. I never expect to hear that you are capable of voting for Donald Trump… But team blue? How can you, in good conscience, walk into a voting booth and pull a blue lever, confirming that you want more of all of this madness? I am so sad today, because I have always looked to you both for objectivity and truth, not a team jersey. Wow.

    Analyzing the Global Controligarchs
I cannot download from a VPN for some reason. I have the same problem when I try to listen to The Rubin Report. An IP address is used to personally identify internet users. Then why can’t I listen to this podcast anonymously like every other podcast?

Wow supper smart and balanced in thinking
I am one that leans towards ID, but highly respect Darwin’s contribution to science. I think six day creation is an embarrassment to Christianity. If I was shown the mathematics behind macro evolution, I would convert. As an aerospace engineer, I understand that science does not follow a linear path (ie, micro truth does not prove macro theory). Hence, I don’t see macro evolution as a plausible explanation. Thanks for making me a better thinker. You both bring critical thinking to the next level.

    Great show
The show description that explains they will “explore questions that matter, with tools that work” is perfectly expressed. Great discussions connecting science, current events and public policy. Bret and Heather are smart and fun, easy to listen to, and some of the most truly courageous individuals in the public eye.

    Thank you
One of our greatest resources for learning are stories from generations past. I am so grateful you also recognize the value of living history & chose to interview Martin. I get a lot from your show, but of all your podcasts, that was my favorite. My only criticism is that Heather wasn't in on it too. It is amazing you two crossed paths, especially at a time such as this. Thank you Jenn G in NC

    Embracing the the angry
First I think they are great when discussing science. In fact this is why continue listening to their podcast. But I get the impression that they feel so battered by what happened to them professionally that they are moving closer to ideology that is far to extreme and to some in this country who could care less about facts.
  • DFinMA
    The best
Heather and Bret consistently provide the best discussions on many relevant topics. They are the best.
  • Sabot6
    Interesting Info Poor Execution
You guys have good content but it’s painful to listen to. Too much interrupting each other, too many bunny trails off the main topic and too much beating around the bush instead of getting to the point. It’s not a conversation between you two but from you two to us. Please get more crisp and to the point.
  • Dan Dodbbeling
    Great show!!!
I would have loved to have had the experience of having either or both of them for even just one college course. That said, I feel like I’m improved in one way or another after listening to each episode. Our vulture is in dire need of more people like Heather and Bret.

    Intelligent and Fascinating
The topics and discussion make this one of the most interesting podcasts around. Their discussions are interesting and in-depth. I always learn something new. Their delivery is comfortable and relaxing - like hanging out with a couple of a friends, who just happen to be incredibly smart. I’m glad they’ve invited us to their conversations.
  • killkorine
    Comprehensive and lucid
I enjoy this podcast and the hosts introduced me to Disaffected with Joshua Slocum, which is also very good. My one complaint is the irony of Weinstein and Heying talking about the dissemination of misinformation and then shilling for Moink and other companies claiming to offer “humane” meat. There is no such thing as humane meat and two biologists should know better! Aside from this annoyance, this is is a very enjoyable pod.

    Gaza genocide
Hi I'm wondering if you're planning on doing a show about Israel's genocide in Gaza and their heinous, evil war crimes. Iilan Pappe says that their brutal military regime is in its last stages. Have you thought about interviewing someone like Ronnie Barkan, Gideon Levy, Dan Cohen, Miko Peled, David Sheen, Max Blumenthal or Ilan Pappe to talk about the sickness that is Zionism? Over 7,000 children murdered so far by the IOF. Paid for by US tax dollars. Endless shame on humanity.
  • Kjindigo
5 stars for the episodes without Heather
I love the episodes in which Bret is allowed to complete a sentence without Heather hijacking the entire conversation due to one word he uses instead of another, which most of us would consider a synonym. The guests he interviews seem to be able to have a conversation, whereas the cohost, Heather, has no ability to infer meaning to keep the conversation rolling. Honestly she stresses me out and I don’t even have to try to converse with her or near her.
  • Quite Trippy
The first intellectuals I can tolerate.
I love this show. Brett and Heather have such a wonderful and respectful relationship. Both of their voices are so smooth, I often fall asleep to them and must listen to each show twice. In a world full of credentialism, I find that those who insist we call them Dr. are the ones we are finding we can trust the least. Dark Horse is the exception. Instead of using their education to gain power and money, Heather and Brett are fighting for truth.

My husband introduced me to Bret and Heather Weinstein quite sometime ago. I make an effort to listen to their podcast every week. I have learned more from Bret and Heather than any other podcast available. The topics they discuss are relevant to all Americans. They do their due diligence; they are very well spoken; and have pleasant interchange with interchanges even they disagree with each other.

    From a conservative
I first heard Bret on The Ben Shapiro Show. In the past I have always been immediately on the defensive, when hearing anything from any liberal however, in the wake of the pandemic, and after the shocking results of the 2016 election, I had a strong desire to better educate myself on current events and matters of the political and especially interested in hearing what people who may disagree with me, politically had to say about current events and happenings within today’s world. I began listening to the Dark Horse Podcast after hearing Bret on Ben’s show. I found myself agreeing with him on just about every position that he and Heather take. This, of course, was a giant shock to me as I consider myself an ultra-conservative. I have found Brett and Heather to not only be patriots of this great nation, but they show care and concern for humanity regardless of which side of the political aisle you fall. Today I am a devoted and loyal listener of the show, and while I do not agree with them 100% of the time, I have found through listening to their podcast that there may be hope for us. Yes, I am still a conservative, yes, we can come together and still disagree and YES! there is hope... Thank you!

Dangerously Stupid - This podcast kills people
People have literally died because of the misinformation on vaccines and Ivermectin spread by this podcast. Apple needs to remove it. It’s the why not the what
Love you guys but things have seemed to become moralized and bogged down in the material rather than deep exploration of the evolutionary WHY…. which I believe is more interesting.

    I can’t hear you.
Why are you whispering!?! I love your cast but gosh it’s REALLY QUIET. I’m even listening on a speaker… I hear every 18th word, as if you lean in to begin your thought and then gradually recede back into the cochlear shadows. Heather should be easier to hear but it’s like she got shocked by the mic once and now her fear of waking it up insulates her whispers. Zack, put a compression gate on them and crank em up. You can’t be even close to -20bd as it is… if you’re using some kind of automated mixer, stop it. That’s lazy. Ride the faders my man, we want to hear what they have to say! Thanks for your service. Keep it up, and please, TURN IT UP.
