I teach a graduate class in servant leadership. I use much of the content from The Table Group in my course because so much of what is talked about on this podcast fits the churches and organizations where our students work.

I think the 2 unpaid ads are more similar than Pat suggested-because we need some external perspective to see the parts of ourselves that are hidden from us. The app-based ear wax removal system is a tangible example of the role of a counselor/spiritual advisor. Please understand I mean no offense intended to all the counselors out there! I have been listening to the podcast for awhile now, I really appreciate having Pat share his insights from all the work their team has done. The main issue I have is that Pat seems to rally cry against remote work, technology on a regular basis. As a senior manager that is a millennial, work and the expectations around it has changed. I was hoping Pat would be able to help us find a way to navigate this new working world, but anytime it comes up he seems to just say it was better in the past, or that these new working cultures are failing us, they’re transactional. Which is true, but I want other voices that come from my age group that are working through this, not just simply wishing for things the way they were.

You talk so fast on the show. It is too scripted. Doesn’t sound like a real conversation. Sounds like you’re in a hurry to make more content and like to hear yourself talk, fast.

After a wonderful career which grew through Pat Lencioni’s work, I find there is still a lot of value to me listening to the podcast as I take an active role in a square dance activity. The rules of working in those types of organizations are still needed. Thanks for keeping me relevant!

As a recently hired in manager for a small company, upper management had turned me onto listening to certain podcasts. I discovered this one has practically listened to almost every episode. I always find some nugget that helps me to learn and grow as a leader.

I came to know about Pat’s books (look at me referring to him like we know each other… but after listening to so many episodes, I feel like I know Pat and Cody and the whole gang!) through Arrow Leadership. Not long after completing my the Executive Stream, I was given an opportunity in my organization to launch a brand new area of leadership, and form a brand new team. As exciting as that may be (and is), it was also terrifying! Thankfully, at just about the same time, I became aware of this podcast, albeit a couple of years after it launched. I’ve been listening to the episodes like mad, some of them a few times over, sharing them with friends, and trying to absorb all I can. I purchased The Ideal Team Player and used it to bring my team members on board. I am working my way through The Advantage and just purchases the Working Genius assessment for my team (too bad I was two years too late to get the promo code — definite con to being so late to the Table Group party, but also definitely outweighed by so so so many pros). Also, Pat (buddy, pal) I am really thankful for your unashamed approach to talking about why this stuff matters to you. As a Jesus follower myself, I can apply what I’m learning from you and your team in so many contexts — I love it. One request: You may have forgotten your intent to start a series of anti-organizational jargon. I was really looking forward to it! Maybe I need to keep listening and I’ll discover a comeback. 😎

I’m soon going to be a (head) pastor of a church for the first time. I’ve been binge-listening to Pat, Cody, Tracy, and the whole gang on both the “At the Table” and “The Working Genius” podcast episodes these past three months. Every episode is easy to understand and readily applicable. Bravo!

I cannot believe people can listen to these uninformed hosts. Not only are the business principles based on political/religious opinions, but they don’t even attempt to reference actual data or facts. I would be embarrassed to tell any professional that I’ve listened to this nonsense. Yikes.

Lencioni is able to break down complex topics in a very approachable manner. Amazing that he is giving this advice away for free!

Pat used to be someone I looked up to and admired but it turns out he’s just another phony. He preaches about his ‘perfect’ family that is falling apart and hanging on by a thread. Ever wondered why he doesn’t talk about his ‘other’ son Connor on the podcast anymore? Well it’s because he doesn’t talk to him anymore. And his company? Arguably worse, everyone has either been fired for not agreeing with Pat, or has left because he wouldn’t stop throwing tantrums in the office. For someone who claims to be a man of God, he better start repenting. FAST!

I used to be a big fan. I’ve unfollowed. I didn’t recognize the subtle right wing commentary until the anti-Vax episode. Now I hear it throughout and I’m done. Too bad.

These podcasts are short and right to the point. They always hit you with immediately actionable advice with thoughtful examples that illustrate the point. They’re also fun to listen to!

This is by far my favorite podcast. It’s quick, practical, and both serious and funny! It feels like you are sitting with Pat and team and just having a chat about how to make businesses thrive. Highly recommend!

I love the way Patrick and co explain their theory behind work, but also share stories from their own experiences. These people are genius and I never walk away from this podcast feeling inspired and empowered! His books are stellar, too!

The single most practical leadership podcast I have listened to. Every time I listen to these guys I wish I worked with them.

I’m a loyal weekly listener and always appreciate the insight, and also love these are usually less than 30 mins, so I can take in the whole thing on my commute. I’ve found myself saying “yes!” out loud almost every episode. By now it feels like I’m hanging out with friends on my drive. The Four Letter Word episode was perhaps my favorite so far. Keep ‘em coming, Table Group!

I can’t say that I am a podcast expert, but I am choosy about where I invest my time. I started listening because I am a fan the books that Patrick has written. What I found was that in just one podcast I can learn business principles, hear discussions of ideas, get my family strengthened and even have my spirit encouraged. I do not know of any other podcast that combines so many different vantage points, or subjects into a captivating set of minutes that seems to fly by. It’s like sitting around a table listening to a conversation between your friends.

For someone who thrives on trying to create the right work environment within a small team, this podcast provides so much insight. From the balance between efficiency and effectiveness, to The Working Genius to understanding its okay to be friends, the outlook is refreshing. Add in the real people and personalities and its a great balance of applying real-life knowledge.

This is by far the most impactful podcast I listen to weekly as a leader. I truly appreciate the honesty and transparency of the conversation and the discussions that give me ideas as a leader. I have read all of the Lencioni books and what I notice is that I remember different things from them in the moment of handling an issue. Our team has focused on humble, hungry and smart for recruiting and we have watched attrition drop and hiring increase. As a larger organization - 1500 - I focus on helping our staff recognize that they are each leaders whether it is through the line, a project leader, sales, or technical. Focus efforts on local change at the small scale to create global change at the organization level. Thanks for what you bring to all of us weekly.

This podcast is my #1 must listen podcast. I’ve read every book written by Pat Lencioni and even worked for a great boss who put The Advantage into practice. Now I’m in a new role, in a new workplace, and I’m working hard to bring the concepts to this new team. Pat’s body of work has reframed my work philosophy and all I want is for everyone else to have the same transformational experience I’ve had.
