    Unbelievable
The podcast about Facebook is great… I still can’t believe the south Asian lady that’s been in the US since 2000 STILL HAS such a strong accent!
  • rfig23
    Lots of repeat episodes
Good show with lots of potential for good content, but there are lots of repeat episodes.
  • Cadex74
    That voice has to go
Occasionally interesting topics but her voice is so fake and grating. Please find someone else to be on the microphone
  • Shill2121
    Space trash
Interesting subject but that woman’s voice was so bad I had to leave.

Great show - ? One piece
With the Internet episode where they talk about Chattanooga, I lived in Chattanooga, TN, and lived outside of the borders of the city but we were still able to get EPB (the Internet they discussed), is that right that it can’t expand? Because we were able to get it without issue in Soddy Daisy, TN?! But amazing work on the show, very good reporting!

    Good format, poor execution!
The 10-15 min dive into current topics is great. But please, please!! do something about Emily Stewart’s valley girl/drunken slur elocution. Idk, get her to work on it or don’t put her on air. It’s un-listenable, everyone complains about it. I’m not being dramatic but you’re losing us because of it. Also 20% of the duration is ads… but that’s not nearly as annoying.

    Used to be great
Unsubscribing as of today because the reporters on the podcast are absolutely not suited for radio / podcast work. I can barely understand what they are saying because they are mumbling, talk too fast, or talk like my high school girlfriends. I grew up in the Valley in LA so I am used to hearing these speech patterns in real life. Nothing personal against the reporters, but for my radio news and podcasts, I expect better. The stories are great. It's a shame.

    Can’t get past the host…
I had to unsubscribe despite otherwise well-reported, engaging topics because the host sounds like a drunk slurring and slobbering into my ear about Bitcoin. I’m a woman on the west coast who speaks with a fair bit of vocal fry myself so I get that the complaints are trite, but dang, Emily Stewart should stick to written analysis. Her points are great but she’s barely intelligible.

Why do they keep playing the same ad?
Okay this podcast has some interesting content but they play the same exact ad four times throughout every episodes and episodes are only 15 minutes. I had to unfollow. It was driving me insane.

    Credit Card Points Whine-athon
The episode about credit card points was hilariously pathetic. Never heard so much whining. Can’t believe this issue is causing them to be upset and feel so much guilt. If you don’t want to use your credit cards then stop using them.

Teddy S + Peter Kafka + Vox tech reporters - YAY!!!!
I really love the new daily format. Please keep it up. I listened to the first format with ADR but I like this shorter pod with a focus on daily tech news better. It’s more relevant (for me). So glad I can hear more from Peter Kafka on occasion now, as well as the other astute reporters I am just getting to know. I love the fact I can hear from all the different Vox voices. All are amazing. Would you be willing to update the podcast description & photo now to make it all consistent with the new host & format?

    Ads ads ads
    2m30s of ads for a 7m podcast...you can’t be serious
  • twslre
    Insane amount of ads
For a 9 minute long episode, there is more than 2 minutes of ads, and another minute of podcast promotion. This is ridiculous.

Drunken Valley Girl in Silicon Valley to Texas Episode
I listened to this podcast for the first time since the hosts changed. The subject was Silicon Valley moving to Texas but the female guest speaker on the show sounded like a drunken valley girl. Does this type of podcast need so much giggling? Are people that uncomfortable with regular speech? Also, there is so much more to this story than Elan Musk. Dallas is growing in leaps and bounds and becoming more multicultural because of this. UGH. #disappointed.
  • IECMagistra
    What’s with the slurring?
Excellent content...keep up with the well-edited and brief length...really wish some (ES) would not slur while they speak....really hard on the ears. Almost makes me delete before I finish listening to the entire episode

Short sweet and to the point
I have enjoyed RecodePodcast. Their stories are very timely regarding privacy, Scientific information, employment issues etc. the stories are very short sweet and to the point. Addition they seem to offer both sides of many issues such that they’re very very independent thinking organization and I can really appreciate that I am working my way from early 2020 and I hope the stories continue to be as interesting as they have been towards the end of 2019 and into early 2020

    Broken Format
I’m so disappointed with the revamp of the show. First, I’m sad Arielle is no longer the host, but I’m willing to give the new one a chance. However, the short runtime plus the daily release feels like a quantity vs. quality approach. Unlike the previous format, I don’t feel like I end the episode with a comprehensive or deeper understanding like I did previously. I’ll give it another week or so but I’m pretty sure at this point I’ll be unsubscribing.

    Best podcast to binge
I recently found this podcast and it is the best I found to binge. The host makes it seem very interesting

It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later (nerds)
I discovered this podcast recently after another pod showcased an episode and I was immediately hooked. I devoured every single episode and am so sad to have finished them all. This pod took complicated issues and broke them down clearly, making them easier to understand (than any other form of media I’ve encountered) and illustrating why they matter and how they impact us as a society, as well as individually. Arielle is an incredible host. Her empathetic, humorous, smart, and direct questions and analyses are so special - it often felt like having a conversation about important issues with a smart friend. Can’t wait to see where her journey takes her (and follow along). Thank you for this show, I already miss it.

    Interesting show but...
Some of the topics are interesting but you can tell they have a political bias even if they don’t right out and say it.

    Gonna miss this pod
Thanks for all the journalism y’all did. This was a fantastic pod. Sad to see it go. Wishing the whole team the best.

    Fantastic, thank you!
Great show and host! It’s tight, full of information about things that affect our lives in the context of technology and just interesting things that I never would have known if it weren’t for this podcast! Best of luck, Arielle!

    Lisa Jackson Interview
Arielle, I really appreciate the conversation you explored with Lisa Jackson. Very interesting ideas and parameters were covered during your exchange. What Apple looks like on the inside with their workforce breakdown to how they can use their financial muscle to push change in social equity inside of their buildings; how Lisa’s push to effect change on our environment and how that environmental change can have an effect on the various underprivileged communities. I can truly relate to what was being discussed. A black man who worked in a conservative corporate workplace for over 20 plus years. Born in the south, raised in metro NYC area, before relocating to NC. This was a company initiative, not mine. I thank you for the insightful questions and responses. I look forward to your follow up interview with Lisa. RP

Arielle was a great host for a great podcast! Very interesting stuff

    Thanks Arielle!
I love this podcast and I’m bummed about Arielle leaving—you rock, I wish we could be friends! I’m curious what else this feed will bring; Arielle said not to unfollow.

    Will be Greatly Missed!
My fiance and I have been listening to this podcast every week since last year, and it's one of our favorites. We've had the theme music memorized and hum it everytime we put an episode on. Can't wait to see where the staff go from here and all the best to them going forward.

    Sad to hear it’s ending!
I’ve made it a point to listen to every podcast even if I wasn’t interested in the title’s subject matter because I wanted to support the pod (I almost always ended up enjoying it anyway). This was great to listen to on my commute to work, walking during lunch, getting ready for anything, as well as just chilling. Thanks for all of the great info you’ve taught me
  • PopeFrancis777
Fantastic show. I’m gonna miss Arielle!

    Reset
So sorry to see you go. Excellent writing, excellent narration, you will be truly missed. Best of luck in your next venture. Hope we will be hearing from you again.
  • Raydioboy
    Most excellent!
Reset is truly one of the most informative, current, well produced podcasts there are. Arielle Duhaime-Ross, the host, is personable and makes you feel as though she’s speaking directly to you as she share pertinent information about current events and topics. Each episode is the perfect length and is engaging from start to finish. This one is a home run! A+

    One of my favorite pods
I listen to this show as soon as it releases. This is a tech podcast, buts it’s also a culture, political, etc. podcast. They demonstrate a lot of the nuance that comes with the tech we use. I very highly recommend this podcast. I have listened to it since it was released and will be sad to see it go. Good luck wherever you go, Arielle!
  • Malavech
    Don’t go!!!
I literally was thinking to myself at the beginning of the most recent episode that Reaet was one of the few podcasts which I consistently enjoy. Edifying, balance, nuanced content which shows connecting elements that contribute to current events. And then the announcement that it is ending. I’m so sad. Thank you for a making my year more interesting and keeping me current and knowledgeable. Reset will be missed.

    The Qanon Episode
Lots of bias in tone, approach, interview content especially the valley reporter with nothing but negative spin in a nasty inflection, and not reported in a good light. Supporters are like the current “peaceful protesters” where there are some bad actors who harass and are aggressive, but the majority simply follow the crumbs and the information to draw conclusions and tell others. This presentation by those interviewed was continuing to say “alleged” or “conspiracy” or using adjectives to insinuate some of the things said weren’t yet proven when they have been. The movement became the size and reach that it is because of what’s called Q Proofs - future proves past - where things told to anons way ahead of them happening actually happen with such precision that it is not coincidence rather mathematically impossible to be such. I invite you to do more research and interview both sides of a topic (not using the interviews of another reporter that has already been spun) ahead of publishing spun content - unless that’s your point and position.

An awesome Tech Podcast , that focuses on relevant subjects and has one of the greatest intros in Podcast Universe . Just One thing ! Is it Arrrieeelle Zim-Ross or Arielle ZimRoss 😂

I Listen To A Lot Of Podcasts And I Am So Glad I Found This One. It’s Keeps Up With Current Events, It’s Very Informative And It Has A Great Production Value. I Love This Podcast And I Look Forward To Every New Episode. Thank You From The Bottom Of My Heart For This Very Enjoyable Podcast.

    One of my favorites
This has become one of my "must listen immediately" podcasts. I like that the episodes are only 20-30 minutes because it's something where I can be interested and invested without needing a laser focus. I work in the tech industry and there are a million places to get long-form, in-depth analysis about the topics Reset covers but honestly I am often at cognitive capacity at the end of the day so I appreciate that Reset just touches on an aspect or two of a particular topic and if I must know more I can go seek out additional info. I'm seriously sad that episodes will be less frequent because I loved the 3x a week schedule. Also Arielle is so lovely, I could listen to her every day.

Good topics, needs some improvement in content specifics
The podcast covers some really interesting topics that are generally insufficiently covered in the media and in podcasts. The quality is uneven— some episodes are much better researched and covered than others. While the podcast strives to cover different angles of science and technology, it still has an undercurrent of techno-utopianism and and techno-libertarianism. It’s unfortunate the host and reporters don’t have a stronger education in science and technology in society (although I blame our university system for overall doing a poor job of preparing journalists and other students to cover these issues.) But they could call on STS scholars to as interviewees. The worst episode I’ve heard was the one covering childhood sex abuse online. The NYTimes The Daily did an absolutely brilliant job covering this topic earlier this year— the shows producers/host should have listened to the two episodes from The Daily so they better understood all of the relevant issues. Ariel instead spoke only to an employee of EPIC, which does some good work, but is overall an extremely ideological organization that will undyingly defend tech privacy over any other moral or ethical value. (Plus a very tokenistic, brief interview with a video gamer who had a very simplistic take on a very complex issue. ugh.) This is not a good interview choice in general, but it was really unacceptable in terms of balanced reporting for this to be the only perspective. The ‘prepper’ episode was also very poorly thought through, although arguably with lower stakes than the sex abuse show. In contrast, the episode with the students tricking Instagram’s algorithms was fascinating.

    Do research after
Very Host opinion driven show with less investigation into anything but their own opinion. They mention opposing views briefly and very dismissively but very informative just one-sided.
  • Booknerd SuperMom
    Misleading, Political biases...
Very One-sided interviews with misleading info. Give us more than just Trump haters like Liz Lapato! I Like your podcast but if I ever hear her on any podcast ever again, I’m out! If you compare the info given in 64, compared to what we know now on 6.1.2020, it’s very misleading and inaccurate. So Liz Lapato goes on forever about hating the government & how everything has been done wrong but when asked about why we didn’t use the WHO’s tests has no idea! Interview people that actually know what they are talking about not just trying to conveniently blame whoever the current non-Democrat President is for all the worlds troubles!

    I don’t like rambling podcasts
This podcast gets to the point of the topic and stays on it

    Love Reset!
Tech, science, society, how can you go wrong? Especially useful right now, breaking down COVID information into all the topics I want to know about.

    Lofi show
Good show but how can you talk about lofi without mentioning ninja tune, DJ food, kid koala, K & D, it goes on and on well back into the 90s.

Interesting new angles on old topics
This podcast has a different take on the same news everyone else is covering. They get interesting guests and have perspectives I don’t hear elsewhere. And the tone is informative, but not heavy or gimmicky. Highly recommend.

We love you arielle keep it going
Your doing a great job arielle, this podcast is fun. I always listen to it while driving or commuting
  • xprt101
Yes, I am a Nerd and proud
I've found so much joy and confort in this podcast. Not only from Arielle's calming and reassuring voice but the way in which the show is produced as well. From, the accurate and factual content to the playful music and sound bites. I truely believe this is one of the best podcast out there and I look forward to it throughout the week. I have been following vox for many years and I highly encourage everyone to give this podcast a try.
