    Sadly Political
Wanted to like this show, but it has significant political overtones that distract. The recent episode about SpaceX permits is hardly journalism, but becomes weirdly emotional and strident against SpaceX and Elon Musk. Smart on their part to get more funding from the left side culture warriors, but sad for those looking for straight forward space and astronomy news.

Love the show but fix the audio levels
I love science podcasts and I have been listening to all of Dr Pamala Gay’s fantastic work for years. From the very beginning of Astronomy Cast I’ve been hooked. Lately I’ve noticed that this show needs to up the audio levels on Pamela’s voice. Every time the commercials come on I wince from how loud it gets because I have to turn it up high to hear Pamela. 6 stars if you fix that problem. Otherwise I love the show.

    Raise the speakers’ audio
While I love the content, the audio levels are frustrating. (Hand-on-forehead). When mixing in the speakers’ audio, please raise speakers’ volume. If you compare it to other podcasts audio levels, speaker audio is very, very low. Audio level of intro music and other fill/transitions is ok. But audio of those speaking is barely audible. When listening to multiple podcasts and arriving at this one, after the intro in this podcast, I have to increase the volume by 1/3 to hear the speaker’s voice, then when a filler/ad comes on, lower the volume or it is too loud, then raise the volume again again by 1/3 to hear speakers’ voices. You can easily compare the audio decibel levels with other podcasts and this one using an audio meter. Normalize voice levels please. Don’t change the transition/ad/filler audio levels. Those are fine.

    Blaring Commercial!!!
Absolutely love this podcast but the speaking is so low and then commercials blast out my ear! I don’t want to drop it from my playlist but will be forced to if this isn’t corrected. I understand the need for a sponsor but please even out the volume.

    Its okay
Voices are so low, then bam! An ad so loud, I think it blew out one of my speakers. Your sound editor needs to level this better.

Too bad I wanted to like it
Too much music and the commercials are way too front and center to enjoy it imo. Music is like an alarm clock sound. Sorry but not for me.

    Turn it up!
I’ve followed Pamela Gay ever since she was part of the Slacker Astronomy podcast. She is a wonderful science educator and I’m always happy to let her put science in my brain. My one criticism is the low volume level of the podcast. Not only is it way lower than any of the other podcasts I regularly listen to (including Astronomy Cast), but it’s also much lower than the ads in each episode. I have to turn it up to hear only to have my ears assaulted when an ad comes on. I turn it down for the ad but then have to crank it up again once the ad is finished. Can things be leveled out it bit? Otherwise, great podcast!

    Decent pod
The podcast has great content but not always delivered the best. The tagline of putting science in the brain is kind of cheesy and seems targeted toward a demographic beneath the level of this podcast. Overall good but just don’t want the cheesiness.

    Stay on topic
Love Pamela’s content but the guy reading from a script, shouldn’t. Today’s podcast went into “social justice” issues, not astronomy. I listen to this podcast to get away from the annoying news cycle, and this episode brought it into a sacred no-go zone for me. So, back to my usual podcasts which stay on point.

    Info good, presentation is lacking
Sorry guys but your reading to us makes it difficult to follow and boring. This said, the content is good.

Great Info....Stop with the Brenda Viccarro Imatatons....
Just learned of theis podcast, and Im already catching up. Great info on Astronomy, Rocketry, Planetary Science. The only negative thing i can say about the podcast is that you INHALE so loudly into the mike that it comes out on the podcast. I know you have a lot of information to get out....but take a breath SLOWLY in between sentences.

    Keep up with space news
It’s hard for me to find time in the day to read or seek out news in the astronomy world but listening to a 10ish minute daily recap is doable. Love the format and Dr. Gay does a great job of explaining things clearly for a layman such as myself.

    New from Dr. Pamela Gay!
I just learned of this podcast after listening to Astronomy Cast! So far I really enjoy it. I love that there’s new episodes daily. Dr. Gay gives insight on topics I never see elsewhere.

A Dr. Gay daily podcast? Be still my beating heart!
Just learned of this podcast earlier today and I’m already on my first episode. Dr. Gay is perhaps my favorite podcaster (well, along with podcasting partner Frazier Cain), and is one I’ve listened to since she was in Boston. Over the years (not *yet* decades plural) I’ve learned so much from her podcasts, and to have a daily ‘cast from her (and her new podcast partner Annie Wilson) is just great. The quality is right up there with Cosmoquest’s usual high standards, and it’s timeliness is even better than Astronomy Cast. Bravo! Great job!
