Brett1.bbLove your pod.Thank you for continuing to make your podcast. I always enjoy it and come away armed with what I need to know about covid. Your show is uplifting and funny which must be difficult based on the subject. Please keep making it until one day you can make a final show announcing that covid is done and gone. I will so much enjoy that episode.

OttoawayKeep poor political reporting out of itI enjoy this program and find it very helpful for updates on public health & science involving Covid. I found the low quality “political update” on the state of American politics today irrelevant and not worthy of the time allocated or this generally high quality program. Nepotism at its worst.

Garnet6106Keep it up!Please continue the show for the foreseeable future! It was been such a help throughout the pandemic.

Aussie News SeekerWell done CoronacastWe’re an expat Australian family who has tuned to Coronacast since it’s inception. Little did I realise that I’d still be tuning in daily in August 2021. This concise daily update is a great way of staying connected with what’s happening in Australia. I’m extremely fortunate to live in a covid free country (all be it a small one) and I wish this state for Australia soon. I dream of the day we can be reunited with our family back home. In the meantime, thank you Coronacast keep up the great work.

RichmondrussFirst thing every morningI live in New Hampshire (USA) The farthest major cities in the world from my house are 17,000 miles away in Australia. I have been following Covid news for past 18 months. Many podcasts here in the states have stopped. It is as if everyone in the US thinks Covid is gone. We know it isn’t. What happens in other parts of the world is very important. After all Covid is a pandemic not a localized epidemic. Coronacast provides valuable information on what is happening every day on the other side of the world.

etc-1Brilliant all aroundGreetings from Washington DC! I have been a devoted listener since episode 2 and haven’t missed a single one since. Bite sized yet informative delivered impeccably by a dynamic tandem-Dr Swan and Ms Taylor. Every episode brings a well rounded review of latest research, discoveries, policies, practices and strategies adopted by different countries around the world. This podcast is the gold standard in communication on public health.

BytheplanetsLove it !I’m in Seattle, USA and I stumbled on this podcast by accident. I love the clear, concise way the presenters approach the latest Covid news and data. Plus it’s great to hear a different perspective from another country. And of course I am envious of how well Australia has dealt with the virus.

emily_rjI’m not psychosomatic and the research existsUpdating my review to one star and my review. I have MECFS, and like many with it, it was brought on by a connective tissue disorder (EDS), POTS, MCAS, Mito Disease, dysautonomia and a host of typical related disabilities and conditions. Copious research exists proving that MECFS is a physical issue, not a psychosomatic one. Of course having a serious heart condition, a wide range of regular serious allergies, six sleeping disorders that Stanford University stated are “the worst in the world,” physical mitochondrial and connective tissue genetic issues produce chronic fatigue syndrome! Honestly can’t believe this show. Norman said “I’m going to catch ire for this.” Yes! You are! MECFS is an actual physical condition, which countless specialists have found paves the way in positively recognizing and treating related Long Covid. MECFS patients showed up in medicine and activism to help Long Covid patients in Spring 2020, long before the rest of the world caught on and began caring. If I got Covid on top of MECFS and my other disabilities, it would definitely kill me. I’m a journalist who reported on medicine and did IRB certified research with national health orgs and medical centers. I know what I’m talking about, even if I wasn’t the patient. Rather than delegitimizing MECFS and other conditions you clearly don’t know enough to comment on, you should be *helping us as your listeners and the rest of your listeners* to better understand our patient population risks and needs. I can’t describe how upset I am that Coronacast has chosen to do this. You should apologize to your listeners and correct the record. So many MECFS patients have died of Covid, or died of lack of medical care during Covid, as they helped doctors better understand Long Covid’s link to MECFS and how to Yelp Long Covid patients. What disrespect to their memories. I don’t think I’m going to listen again. You’ve let down millions of listeners around the world with MECFS, and our lives will now be harder for the social ableism your comments have imbedded in others via your show. We don’t deserve that. Old review: Come on, Dr. Swan. Research shows that calling disabled and chronically ill people “burdens” is more likely to increase not only suicides but eugenics via care rationing and denial of care by caregivers, medical providers and health systems. Please choose you words more carefully instead of adding to the problem. I’ve enjoyed this show but it often can be obtuse, with language that indicates preferential consideration for abled audiences foremost and sometimes only. Haven’t heard mention of what governments aren’t and should be doing to help younger disabled people either. Disappointing.

amsterdamchickThank YouThis podcast has kept me up-to-date on the pandemic for nearly a year now. The 15-ish minute episodes come out each weekday, and they discuss the latest news in a very straightforward and easy-to-understand way. I originally thought I’d just listen during our lockdown in Melbourne, but I really enjoy the show, and as we’ve all learned, this pandemic just keeps on going. Thank you so much to Tegan, Norman, and everyone behind the scenes of this podcast!! You’ve helped to keep me sane and well-informed, and I really appreciate it!!

DelicutKaffeeAn up to date, accurate and concise source of COVID informationTwo of Auntie’s finest. Very appreciative of this daily dose of all you need to know about COVID, distilled into ten informative and at times entertaining minutes. It’s the first thing I listen to every morning. Many thanks to all involved in this excellent podcast... and I’m sorry you’re having to work over Christmas, but grateful that you are.

Sean_WongThe reason Australia is slow covid environmentWell not the only reason, but it is an excellent example of the critical lead journalism by the ABC. WELL DONE TO the Tegan and Norman team. Not forgetting the producers and the host of staff making it happen behind the mics.

Riga1011My Weekday Go-ToEach morning Coronacast is my first port of call. As a Stage 4 locked-in Melbournian I find that Tegan and Norman address the latest issues many of us are concerned about in a clear and engaging way. It is refreshing to hear an unbiased presentation which mixes facts with a dash of humour. Thanks you two.

Elyse_EspoirGood information, good vibeI am not based in Australia nor am I Australian but this podcast is so good and helpful that I’m a regular listener anyway. The hosts have a friendly, collaborative dynamic and their backgrounds in journalism make them good communicators of complex information. Dr. Swan does an impressive job of staying up to date on the latest science around the virus and is also honest about what he doesn’t know. It’s a good mix of science content and local perspectives on pandemic handling and I really appreciate the humanity and approachability of this pod.

AdeleMajorReliable, soothing, surprisingly entertainingAs an Australian in Sweden, this podcast has kept me informed and sane during the pandemic. It’s the perfect length without being too shallow, Dr Swann is unfailingly well-read and reassuring, and there is a really comforting thread of Australian humour throughout the whole thing. Thank you ABC!

UIGal94Factual without FearReally enjoy the discussion, ideas and knowledge shared in this podcast. The hosts intelligently discuss a variety of Coronavirus topics while not driving fear. Though I listen from the U.S. I find the updates about Australia and the virus in general to be helpful and informative. Approachable and educational.

Em_305Bite-sized episodes of valuable informationIt is so helpful to have a reliable source of information that isn’t all doom and gloom. Even when delivering more alarming facts or statistics, the hosts are generally upbeat, which is a nice change from the panicked conversations around me (at a social distance!).
