Brooke Pre-PAToo much motherhood contentI really liked this pod but recently I just haven’t been relating it has way too much mom content. I see they added it to their title photo. Unsubscribing not the content for me.

Laur315The big sisters I needYou two truly are the big sisters I never had. This show offers the best mix of messages… from anti-diet, body positivity/neutrality, pregnancy support, postpartum health, and parenthood in general, I always finish an episode feeling so seen. Thank you ladies!

Amt12040925VAM2So I listened to your summary of the Oprah episode and another one on your views of GLP-1’s. As a person with class 2 obesity, the pain that people struggling with obesity are going through is very real. Pushing the intuitive eating and HAES narrative and shaming weight loss meds is not helpful, and reeks of a new anti diet diet culture. I guess those of us suffering should just say, ok we can’t all be a healthy weight, I guess I should go on a walk and appreciate that my legs can walk today. Today they can, but maybe not 5 years from now if we continue on this track. Obesity can pull you down where you know all of the things that you should do but just cannot do it because of the physical and emotional pain that the extra weight causes. As you say multiple times, you are a healthy weight. You do not get it. There’s a lot of laughing and mocking about the episode with Oprah that you didn’t even watch!! She did say obesity is a disease of the brain, her having struggled with it her whole life makes that perspective different than what you would understand. She also said, if you are obese and not making any changes to your diet or exercise, bless you. If you are making changes through diet and exercise, bless you. If you are using weight loss medication, bless you. It was her way of using empathy and saying, I see you, I understand. From what I have heard on your episodes, you’re now shaming anyone that takes measures to change their body. Why is shaming ok in that regard? And on the ozempic episode, wow making public comments about someone’s hair thickness and facial feature, and masking it as “but I’m a professional I was making a formal assessment!” Sorry but no, there is nothing professional about that!!

hannnahh1995Too much momI love this pod so much from an ED recovery perspective which is how I found it and why I listen. Recently there’s been too many episodes about pregnancy and giving birth and parenthood which is great but not why I listen (it does not pertain to me) to this pod, so I find myself having to skip a lot of episodes recently which is disappointing.

sofatoastToo much pregnancy and TikTok contentI really want to love this podcast, and there have been some episodes that I’ve found really informative and entertaining, but lately it feels like a LOT of content focused only on pregnancy and TikTok ragebait/misinfo. I understand that those are highly relevant to the hosts at the moment, but it’s getting a bit tiresome and alienating; personally I would rather see a break from episodes until there’s bandwidth for some deeper dives into other topics than repeats of these ones.
-
friskel126Fantastic PodcastI appreciate the debunking of diet culture. It’s so toxic and for many years made me feel like I wasn’t a person worth being in certain spaces. Thanks.

troubledladyDisappointedI enjoyed your podcast until today. You reviewed Oprah’s special without even watching it. You said they should have covered topics which they actually did - which you would have known if you had watched the program. You also mentioned the teens that were featured who were taking the medicines who were actually sick from their weight - and this has helped them when other options failed. There were also people featured who had terrible side effects. They also mentioned these medicines are to be used in conjunction with a health professional dietician. I feel like you pushed this episode out prematurely only to ride the coattails of the hype. You typically share researched topics, so this is surprising. Next time, do your homework first. I’d delete this episode, watch the show, and revisit your thoughts.

heyyfriendNot all women can give birth/get pregnantNormally, you are relatively inclusive. And I’m sure you didn’t mean to be hurtful. But your conversation of putting down men because they don’t/can’t give birth felt like a slap. There are plenty of moms who didn’t birth their children and made to feel like less of a woman because they don’t go through the pregnancy process. When you mentioned that you can’t feel bad for men because they don’t understand the pain and can’t complain felt hurtful because that makes it seem as if you aren’t a mother if you don’t experience that. A lot of women cannot give birth and would love nothing more. I am sure that holding a baby in your womb does give you a different connection with your child, but maybe just be a little more caring with your statements. Overall, your show is great and you two have a wonderful connection and great conversations.
-
tcw517Look forward to it every weekI really enjoy this podcast. Sammy and Jenna are very relatable, funny, real. Started listening for the intuitive eating content, and now as I’m entering motherhood myself, am finding their pregnancy/realities of being a mom content super enjoyable.
-
JilliemaeWonderful, and a note about the commercialsI’ve been listening for a long time and probably always will but the placement of the commercials are horrendous. You had a recent episode where you were talking about the death of a client, which was so moving and then all of a sudden there was a commercial about meal prep, and I was completely jarred, and it first didn’t know if this was part of the conversation still or a commercial. Eek!

Jessy814So thankful to have found this pod.I’m in the middle of my intuitive eating journey after 20 years of diet culture. This podcast has been such an encouragement and I truly feel like I'm enjoying food, cooking, movement and making non weight loss goals. I’m very thankful for these two women speaking on this subject.

CollegeDuckGood on white Wellness, Poor on Depth/ResearchIt’s a affirming podcast if you want to challenge white-Eurocentric beauty standards and diet culture. However, they fail to prep for podcasts in terms of research/education, are white-female centric, and are SUPER TikTok obsessed, often referencing influencers that most of us have never heard of. They disappointingly, don’t seem to research topics, which has led to at least four instances of stating—and never correcting—misinformation. For example, they mentioned Congress’s inquiries with TikTok (which they’ve hinted at since 2019). However, they spread misinformation that could have been prevented by reading just on NPR or NYT or CNN or heck even Fox News article (spoiler it’s about international security not influencers). It was irresponsible and could have been a great chance to discuss how social media empires can be forced share user data with their company’s home governments and how that has been used in legal and criminal cases (January 6 as exhibit A for when it’s used for good). If you’re used to Rethinking Wellness/Food Psych, Food Heaven, or Maintenance Phase, or other anti-diet and white supremacy podcasts, this will leave much to be desired (especially in terms of racial and socioeconomic diversity, intersectionality, and depth). It’s more the Jersey Shore of substance.

Joshuac311Great Even If You Aren’t an RDI’m far outside of the target demographic (cis-het male and work in construction), but still am on an IE journey after a lifelong struggle with food and my body. This is one of my favorite shows about Intuitive Eating and I learn so much, even on episodes where I didn’t think the topic would pertain to my interests.
-
Annabelle WoodGreat contentThis show always has great content but the way it’s delivered feels unprofessional to a point where it feels like it takes away credibility and legitimacy of the content. I want to share with people but i think how casually it’s discussed makes it feel less credible. Im all for swearing but I think the amount of it in this show also what makes it feel less quality
-
Mc7634Thank you!Thank you for a lovely podcast! I appreciate so much what you do. Also a question. What about people who have a great relationship with food and exercise by practicing intuitive eating and are still in fat bodies and suffering with the comorbidities associated with o-slur? I feel like this is a perspective/phenomenon not explored. It’s wonderful to be body positive and focus on intuitive eating and joyful movement but what about the life expectancy reduction for people with clinical o-slur? I’ve studied quite a bit the theories that weight cycling, genetics, psych meds etc can increase the body’s defended fat mass and increase risk for disease. That factors outside our control can change fat people’s hunger and satiety signals to maintain this higher weight. How does an intuitive eating only approach fit in with this theory or does it at all?

FancyNancy75Always relevant and relatable!I love this podcast so much!!! Jenna and Sammy are so relevant and relatable. No matter the topic I can always find a nugget of information and/or inspiration to help me on my own journey. I absolutely loved the most recent episode about dating and body image. Newly single after twenty years of marriage I can see now how my own body/food struggles played a big roll in my marriage and how they hold me back as I re-enter the dating world at a different phase in my life. This episode was extremely eye opening to me and just confirms that I’m on the right path but still have a lot of work to do. Thank you both for being your authentic selves and sharing all that you do with your audience. 🥰
-
jilliansmith.rdSO helpful!!I love how Sammy and Jenna keep real when talking about nutrition and bypassing diet culture, and instead prioritizing how we can live a healthy lifestyle. This podcast is so helpful, I cannot recommend it enough!
-
ReallyannoyedinNkyHave some self respect...All credibility went out the window when the hosts began using the f-word like a comma and seasoned the rest of their commentary with other choice curse words.
-
estasnyNo weigh boundariesI just listened to the episode about setting boundaries and it was so helpful! As a weight-inclusive RD l’m always looking for ways to work with my patients on this. And l appreciated the info re the noweigh.org website and resources. Thank you!!! Super-helpful!

omgeverythingistakensoannoyedCame for the food talk but stayed for the mom talk.I am trying for a baby for the first time, after years of struggling with an eating disorder and messy recovery. Jenna and Sammy’s discussion about the process of becoming mothers as well as sharing their raw emotions have helped me so much in my journey. Knowing that others have struggled the same way I have is so validating. I don’t have an older sister, and I feel like in some way they are filling that role and helping me navigate this journey. Thank you for being real ❤️
-
erin_woogeMUST LISTEN!If you are new OR experienced in intuitive eating, this podcast is for you. If you have dieted your whole life, start here to learn how to enjoy being in your body without trying to change it. These two girls have made my 45-minute commute to school a joy. I’ve been on-and-off dieting since I was about 12-years-old, and at 20, I’m so exhausted of diet culture and body stigma in every aspect of life. I’m getting married in July and have faced the “wedding day” diet temptation. I’m midsize and struggle with adapting to this being my body!! I have fallen in love with movement because of the way I feel and gotten back into eating foods that I LOVE. Thank you to Sammy and Jenna for helping my relearn how to listen to my body. I’m obsessed!!
-
JennyMallenSimply the bestJenna and Sammy, thank you both so much for all that you do! I’ve been listening to your podcast and following you on instagram for a while now, and you have taught me SO much! I’ve struggled with an eating disorder/disordered eating for years and you both have truly helped me in my recovery journey. Because of you I have a completely different perspective on what health really means. I look forward to listening to your podcast every week! Not only is it informative/educational, but you both are hilarious and always put a smile on my face 😊 -Jenny C. in California ❤️

JennyyCarrWTAF Does Wellness Mean Episode!I’ve been a fan of this podcast and Sammy and Jenna for awhile now. I specifically loved this episode because it talks about integrative health. I feel that this isn’t something that’s talked about enough online. You either see the extreme side of functional medicine or western medicine. I love that Jenna shared her positive experiences with functional medicine. As someone who has gone through my own personal struggles, I have personally seen and found the positive impacts functional medicine has had on my health. However, this does not mean we can ignore western medicine. I have integrated functional, western, and intuitive eating principles into my lifestyle. I loved the conversation about finding the grey in this space! You two are so inspiring and I love the work you do. It’s genuine, real, raw, authentic, and offers great advice and content for any type of consumer.
-
CK 2019Tries too HardI wanted to like this but the hosts try waaayyy too hard to be hip and sassy, by using an absolutely unnecessary number of F-bombs. The content gets completely lost. You are educated grown women…please speak like it.
-
Emmalee PeckLove it!I love listening to What The Fork Podcast. I always learn something new and get to reflect on my own implicit biases and beliefs about diet culture.
-
I love T,S,I’m not judging but it’s horribleI think the intentions are god the delivery misses for me. When talking about a product or idea they don’t like it comes across as judgmental and less fact based then option based. If you don’t agree with a product or system share scientific findings that support your point. Saying I am not against the people using the product I’m just against the product doesn’t help.
-
Bkellys88Part of my daily routineI listen to this podcast every day while getting ready in the morning. I love this podcast and what it’s done for me and my outlook on my eating and body. It always gets me in a great mind set for the day!
-
JoshandChuckersFanclubThe best!I am an avid podcast listener, yet few meet the mark to follow. This is a must-follow! Do it. You won’t regret the real, vulnerable truths!
-
Melissa YeamanThe Realest LadiesI absolutely adore this podcast! You two ladies are so real and fun and I look forward to new episodes, always! I’m a grad student and almost RD, and love how fun you guys make these topics! I love seeing peoples personalities shine through their work, and I feel like I know you both from this pod. My only suggestion is that I would love to hear more personal moments from you guys bc I just love ya!
-
Meg- GroundedNourishmentWhere the fork has this podcast been my whole life?I love listening to Sammy and Jenna each week as they reiterate the importance of eating to nourish your body, not restrict it! From a fellow RD, this is a recent fav on my podcast rotation :).
-
CatCOliverWas really hoping they’d be different…found more of the sameNot science-based. Just replaces the all-or-nothing mentality of diet-culture with all-or-nothing mentality of a different kind (HAES/anti-diet philosophy). I am amazed these hosts are licensed dietitians. This rhetoric has drowned ED recovery spaces for a few years now, it’s just a fad - just like any other fad diet. I wanted to give them a chance but found myself having to turn it off for my own sanity. If you want actual science-based nuanced discussions on EDs/DE/recovering from diet culture, I suggest checking out the Whole Hearted Eating podcast.
-
saradoanegreat pod!very nuanced approach to the diet culture conversation! thank you guys!
-
nittanylion2010DisappointingThis pod isn’t really compatible with my personal journey but I would’ve given it a high rating for the penn state ties and the important discussion of diet culture b.s. However I was incredibly disappointed with the discussion (or lack of) on vegetarianism/veganism and morality as well as the role of food in the broader climate/environment. I also feel like there is a danger of swapping one set of restrictive diet rules for another…
-
Heather MoritaLove love loveI love this show so much. It’s a part of my morning ritual since I’ve found it and am trying to get through all their episodes. So comforting and positive!
-
HannthraxLove it except for the audioAs other reviewers have stated, this podcast is informative and interesting. My issues lies with the differing volume levels of the hosts and guests; one person is very quiet while the other is very loud, and sometimes the quality is poor. The inconsistent audio makes some episodes unlistenable in my opinion.
-
dkd2183Love this showThis show has been so amazing and informative to listen to. I’ve had eating disorders and disordered eating for most of my life and between listening to this show and reading Intuitive Eating I feel that I’m on my way to heal. The only downside is some of the recordings are not good quality and will go totally silent right when I want to hear something that sounds important.
-
Becky5thgradeLove hearing them grow and change with meIt’s awesome to hear RDs grow, change, and keep it real. Resisting diet culture is hard and they bring great information, perspectives, and humor to all of their shows.
-
madebynicknamePls fix AudioLive the content but the audio makes it hard to hear ❤️
-
KWulftangeAudio😩I love this pod but pleaseeeee fix the audio
-
msjsvtDisappointingI found this podcast when looking for info about Noom. I’m on Noom and haven’t experienced what the guest experienced. Do I think it’s the greatest problem, not at all, but the episode felt like an infomercial for the hosts.
-
sowergirlJBGreat podcast for learning about applying IERD here. I enjoy listening to this podcast. One of my top RD and IE podcasts.
-
Citizen12345567890My favorite podcastI listen weekly for all things IE! I learn something new every episode and Jenna and Sammy are such fun hosts!

MATT@CYBAwesome podcast!!First off, the name is absolutely amazing! It draws you way into the show with expert dietitians Sammy & Jenna! The hosts and experts both talk about idfferent ways of keeping your diet in healthy standard! 5/5! Highly recommend
-
brynm22Love this podcast butI love this podcast but honestly I’m so sick of people who aren’t even from the US commenting on past presidents. Why don’t people focus on helping people without giving us there political views on presidents etc. please keep it out!
-
Miller CSNot To Be Missed!Medical Care Without Weight Stigma with Dr Natasha Larmie is such a powerful episode. Not to be missed if you wonder about all the things we've been told about weight and medical conditions.
-
EricaBushwellAwesome podcast!Sammy & Jenna, host of the What The Actual Fork Podcast, highlight all aspects of wellmess, growth and more in this can’t miss podcast! The host and expert guests offer insightful advice and information that is helpful to anyone that listens! Definitely recommend!

Laurensnow13Entertaining and educationalI wish I had found this podcast when it first started, but I am currently binging all episodes while they’re on break. This podcast is my absolute favorite. As a dietitian it is so relatable but also has been opening my eyes to so many different things within the field. These ladies are so smart and so hilarious, every episode is a 10/10! Would highly recommend this podcast to any dietitian or anyone stuck in the diet cycle, but really this podcast can be for all!
