MotherEarthLoverGreat for ALL kidsMy young children and I adore this podcast. Every time we get in the car my kids request as many episodes as we can fit of just this one podcast nothing else will do. I love it! Although we are not Muslim, there are so many universal truths and kindness taught in each episode that can be applied to everyone everywhere and we have started praying at other times of our day thanks to the Muslim teachings. I would like to become a subscriber, but I cannot get the website to load or find information elsewhere. Thank you 😊😊😊

Bahrain FamilyAmazing Ma’sha’Allah-A Family Car Ride TraditionWe discovered Mrs Hashmi when we received a personalized Eid story by Mrs Hashmi as a gift from a friend. Since then we’ve become hooked…we’ve become a Once Upon a Crescent family and have listened to all the episodes multiple times on our car rides to school. May Allah SWT bless Mrs Hashmi and her family many times over for making our car rides so enjoyable and full of amazing reflection…to the point where my kids (one of whom despises going out) are happier to go out for an errand if I’ll play Mrs Hashmi. But this hasn’t only been beneficial for the kids, I’ve learned so much as a parent. So much so, that when I speak gently now, my kids point out that I’m copying Mrs Hashmi. And also if I’m raising my voice I’ve been reminded of the episode where the mother doesn’t yell when the sugar jar breaks 😀. I’ve also used it to resolve conflicts between my kids. Now when we’re in a conflict situation at home where mean words are involved …I often say remember the Mrs Hashmi episode…speak good or stay silent! (If I had said that on its own it probably wouldn’t have the same impact - but now because it’s linked to a story the message becomes so much more powerful). The parents in all the episodes are the kind of parents we would all aspire to be…I also love the hadith selections…they stay in your mind long after the story, and are stated in such a beautiful integrated way without being preachy. We love the variance in names, characters (both animal and human!), settings, and sound effects too. My favorite episodes are The Gentle Giraffes (because I need to hear that message for myself), and the one about the Honest Date Seller. This podcast is honestly one of the best parts of my children’s childhood. There is so much goodness in it. From great life/moral lessons for everyone (despite their faith) to developing a strong sense of Muslim identity to just having fun listening to a great story…it’s fantastic and such a gift to the Ummah. May Allah SWT bless all those involved infinitely.

wfhvjhdbkufEthnic narrator?Terrible narrator, not ethnically true to podcast premise
-
i love you legosALEDRANDOKHAN you make me sickWhy would you say that? It’s revolting that you would write a review hating on the Islamic religion. Why would you listen to an Islamic podcast if you are atheist? You say this makes you sick but the fact you wrote and said that makes me sick
-
LAILA MOUSAAmazingI love your podcasts I can’t wait for more inshallah

Brown in MediaPerfect for a new generation of Muslim kidsI’ve been searching for something like this for years. Mrs. Hashmi does an exceptional job of weaving together interesting themes (animals, family, school etc.) with Islamic reminders in an approachable way for young listeners growing up in the West. My kids love listening to her stories on long drives. Please keep it up!!
-
The anime nerdCreative and funThe stories on this podcast are so creative and fun! They remind me of the whimsy of Peter Rabbit while also being very unique in their way of story telling. Definitely worth checking out regardless of your faith. I’m not a Muslim myself, but I learned a lot from these stories.

AlejandroKhanHorribleIt’s terrible. Islam is a horrible religion on its own but with the government line about covid makes it even worse. As an atheist with daughters it literally makes me sick to listen to.
-

SSultan77Our Favorite Podcast! This podcast is our absolute favorite! My kids, ages 7.5 & 6 request these stories during every car ride. As a mental health therapist, I find the lessons embedded into each story to be profound and very beneficial for children. Therapeutic techniques are woven seamlessly into each episode and I find myself just as excited as my kids to tune in!
