bduluthExcellent interviewing style.A great way to dive a bit deeper into the minds of working artists. It’s a well thought out, well carried out interview, and you can tell the host has really spent time thinking deeply about the process of making art.

fraudpatrolBest art Podcast out there!I listen to a lot of podcasts on art and this is the best. The quality of the questions, to the introduction of the artist—it’s all so good. Thank YOU! His research is so good and is so respectful and thoughtful with his questions. LOVE.

G-MiaA Brush WithI love, love this podcast! The conversations with artist are both informative and inspirational. I always receive some NEW thought or eureka moment from the featured artist. Approx 60 min in length, but real in-depth interviews. I love the format of the show, and the tip on where the artist is currently showing their work! This is my all time favorite podcast. Keep it coming!

ghabarthGreat art podcastExcellent show. Great resource for students. Ben Luke does his research and knows the work thoroughly, but let’s the artists define what they do. The shows really gets to the core of the work and the artists, never boring or condescending.

seretaThe best podcast out thereNot just the best art podcast (and I listen to many), but the best podcast I’ve heard - full stop. Ben Luke is a brilliant interviewer who actually LISTENS to his guests (what a concept:). His follow-up questions are always spot-on and are a response to what what just said, instead of an obviously pre-written list. His knowledge of visual art and related fields is exhaustive, but the conversation is never about him. It’s all designed to draw out the guest. Because there is so much in every episode, I find myself listening to several more than once.

xxcnamandaaaaLove to hateSeattle calling. Could the art news folks talk to emerging artists as well? It’s great art historical content in the making (the podcast as is), but who are the artists making raw crazy innovative borrowing boring or lazy art. Don’t care, but would love more from young artists. As a journalist I want a broader coverage.

axellllllllloLove this podcast so muchMany of these artists are new to me and each one is absolutely fascinating. I love the conversation each time and I love the fact that there is a standard list of questions (what music do you listen to when you work? What work of art could you not live without, what are your literary influences, etc). Ben is a great listener / interlocutor. Since I started listening I have been back to see pieces in museums by artists who have been interviewed and have a whole new appreciation of their work.

laurie hellerNew listener…I’ve listened to the most recent two and am thrilled to have found a podcast that delves into ideas and content rather than personality and chat. There are many branches of inquiry to follow… Wish somehow the visual being discussed were part of it, of course most of it can searched and found…

parnoldalmerSo so goodProbably the best podcast on visual art I’ve heard. The host lets the artists speak which is great. Cultural influences as a jumping off point is interesting. Very thoughtful.

MemMontHow I love this podcast...Can hardly wait for new installments. These delightful conversations are so inspiring. Most of these artists (esp Armitage and Horn) make you feel welcomed into their world. A whole new world has opened its doors to me - thanks to Ben Luke, a talented interviewer.

henrogthegreatSo much to chew onYour conversation with Saville was so inspiring. So many art podcasts feel rather chaotic or narcissistic. This felt so expansive and sent me running to the studio. Thank you so much
