This Is Hardcore Podcast is inspired by the people and culture that make things possible. Interviews, stories and plenty of insight and inspiration in the do-ers, the makers and the people pushing the culture over the last 4 decades. There is an unbelievable amount of great DIY information being discussed and will be disseminated through these conversations, in hopes of instilling a hard work ethic in the new generations and a rekindling a connection to the old ways for the old school listeners.

    If every podcaster approached their topic with as much knowledge, passion and authenticity as Joe does for his podcast, we wouldn’t have so much useless noise coming at us every time we open up this app. His love for this music and lifestyle is infectious. Great stuff.

    My favorite podcast
    Always was stoked when joe was a guest on other hardcore podcasts. When TIHC podcast came out was hooked, been listening since first episode, and been something to look forward to every Friday during covid lockdown. The long episodes makes traffic/commutes, dog walks, errands etc go by quick. Love that he learned as he went and the passion puts into each episode. Check it out I guarantee you’ll be sitting in your car when get home listening instead of heading inside.

    The guests joe has on are so diverse in all different backgrounds, lifestyles, paths in life, etc but they all relate back to hardcore in such a cool way. Each episode is vastly different from the last but every one is good. Joe has a great way of guiding the conversation to always be talking about both cool and fun things as well as serious life stuff. I find this podcast to be informative and inspiring as well as extremely sick. 5 stars!!

    Great format, host, and style
    There are a lot of people involved in the music than only the musicians. With a really straightforward style each episode shows different work being done around and behind the scenes. Joe lets them articulate their focuses and what they’ve learned and how they got there. It’s actually my favorite music related podcast at the moment.

    I was a huge fan of PA/NJxHC back in the day. I met Joe a few times at shows and dude has always been all about the scene. It’s great to listen to these interviews that take me back to those shows in Philly and Jersey from my youth. Keep up the good work!!

    As soon as I saw Joe Hardcore had a podcast I subscribed. I’ve heard him on numerous others so I knew he’d be good at this, and from the start he’s proved me right. I’m really excited to see who’s on in the future because the long format lends itself to more in depth conversations, and that’s where the good stories are.

    Joe is the “Wise Man” of hardcore music and This Is Hardcore Fest is the Mecca for any fan of hardcore music. Joe’s knowledge of hardcore music is astounding. The history, the stories that contributed to the history....it’s all there. You instantly find yourself being sucked in to these conversations. He has a unique ability to make the listener feel as if they are right there in the middle of the story. Bravo!
