Stevehead0001Life-changingThe Schrift will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you reevaluate your entire existence. One thing it won’t make you do, however, is moralize.

mhw776ProvocativeReally enjoying this podcast! It’s a very interesting blend of torah, literature and meditation/mindfulness. Steven is clearly well-versed in all these areas and it’s fascinating to hear the delightful and often bold connections he makes between them. He is a talented storyteller with a lot of wisdom to share. What I most appreciate is that each episode is filled with insights that are applicable in my daily life, particularly around mindfulness. Definitely check it out!

ErniescrabshackExcellent podcast that packs a punchThe Schrift is a joy to listen to each week. Steven takes philosophically heavy concepts and distills them down to their essence, creating a fun listening experience that still has all the heft of an academic lecture. He does a phenomenal job interweaving multiple disciplines and finding connections that would elude even the most astute scholars. Would recommend to all!

MerfingtonThe SchriftThe Schrift by Steven Weinberg is an excellent way to learn about the Torah, literature (emphasis on German writers) and philosophy. To top it off, Steven also offers some useful observations on the benefits of meditation and diet. The narration is soothing and at times, funny and concludes with a relevant contemporary song. What a fun and pleasurable way to learn more about some pretty deep concepts. I believe that this type of presentation will entice students and others to take a deeper dive into these subjects.

SwoozicalThe Schrift by Steven Toby WeinbergThe Schrift by Steven toby WEINBERG is in my opinion nothing short of awesome. His command of the weekly Torah portions, as they connect to German literature, is amazingly interesting, thought-provoking, and intoxicating. I enjoy these podcasts so much, that I cannot wait for the subsequent week’s new episode. It’s like watching an incredible drama on TV or at the movies. I find the sound of Mr. Weinberg’s voice to be very soothing, and the background Beethoven symphony to be powerful. I am always amazed at how there are new ways to understand the weekly Torah readings, and Steve never disappoints me. I recommend this podcast to everyone. Not only does it enrich the soul, but it also offers some self help. It offers new ways to consider how to handle your life. I give this podcast “The Schrift” 10,000 stars.
