Sandi G WIncredibly validating!!Unless you are “in it” it’s so hard to understand our lives, our choices, and our hard. Emily’s description had me nodding along with her description of what it is like to parent neurodivergent kids. So grateful that she was willing to share her story as it is also my story and I’m sure so many others can relate and feel seen listening to this episode.

gencaroLoved the 10/9 episodeReally loved this particular episode because the mom was truly herself. A total adhd interview and I felt so seen (or heard). I seriously appreciated the realism. Thank you!

AlisonBandmy3Life saverThis podcast has been a lifesaver to me. As a mom of two neurodivergent kids, and one with a serious illness, I had a hard time finding resources for moms like me who need a community of our own and need to know that we’re not alone. Megan is so relatable, and her guests have given me so much comfort and peace in going down this unplanned and unchartered path. Thank you Megan for all you do.

Karebear3121Hit hardHello, I just listened to episode 38 of “On the Hard Days” your story resonated with me so much. My son was treated like this when he was in 3rd grade. He had developed PANDAS/PANS/AE which we didn’t know till December of his 4th grade year. He was pushed to a behavioral school where he had to work his way out of. He had almost worked his way out of the behavioral school his 6th grade year, but then Covid. He felt like he was never going to be able to get out of the behavioral school. He was lucky to have one teacher that cares enough to push him to succeed and he was out of the behavioral school by 2nd semester of 7th grade. He is now a freshman in highs school and he only has a few hiccups here and there. I just wanted to tell you I wish I had this when he was in 3rd grade. If I would’ve had this I would’ve known a little better what to do. I have made it my mission to help anyone I can to learn more about PANDAS/PANS/AE. Thank you so much for sharing your story. ❤️

CepasquaSo helpfulAs a mom with 2 Autistic kids I find myself wanting to take a break from Autism stuff as it takes over so much of my life. But then I find myself feeling overwhelmed, alone and like I am failing my kids and myself with how I react when I feel like I have nothing left. This podcast is like a friend who lets me know I’m not alone in this and I am 10000% doing the best I can. I truly appreciate this podcast so much.
-
BrittyIreneAMAZING!This is so relatable and it makes me feel so heard. It’s so true and it helps me through those hard days (sometimes weeks).

cupcakes328Great Podcast!Edited 10/21: this podcast and community is amazing! I have met so many beautiful people that I now call friends❤️ I am so happy Megan took on this challenge and keeps making it better and better. If you have a challenging kiddo, listen you won’t be disappointed! This has been such a great podcast to listen to, all parents struggle, but to hear the situations Megan has and how she deals with them is great! It has helped me look at situations with my child and have greater understanding of our situation. Megan doesn’t talk at you or act like she knows what to do, she shares openly and it is refreshing to find someone on a such a similar path and to know I’m not alone!

cgmrbIncredibly ValidatingMy daughter has been very high needs and explosive her entire life. Now that she has turned six it’s really escalated and this podcast has helped us see that it has been her masking during school that’s been causing the problems. This has been so informative to hear from so many parents that have similar experiences. I am so thankful for this podcast.

GP ResidentLOVE this podcastI am a podcast junkie and listen to a wide variety of topics. This podcast - which I am currently binge listening to and talking to everyone I know about it - is incredible. Megan Champion is a gift. Her podcasts are focused, supportive, helpful and HONEST. Sometimes parenting can be really hard and mothers usually bear much of the emotional load of a lot of it. Add in a child with extra needs and it becomes harder. Megan acknowledges that without pretending she’s unlocked the secrets to making everything OK, because sometimes things are neither easy nor OK. This is not a downer podcast that focuses on the negative. It’s honest and hopeful and refreshing and there’s something wonderful communicated through this podcast that assures mothers they’re not alone in struggling with the challenges of raising a neuroatypical child.
-
jsmargeLife changing! These podcasts have helped me through so many rough days. I’ve literally cried listening as moms explain exact scenarios going on in my home, leaving me feeling so much less alone. I’m so glad I found this podcast!

Nici1027A Podcast for AllI am a parent to two children—one who is on the spectrum and another who has Down syndrome and autism as well. I found this podcast through the beautiful algorithm on Instagram. And while my children do not share the exact same challenges as Megan’s, I find her podcast to be SO enriching. She is real, honest, relatable, and helpful as well. I find her to be incredibly insightful and it’s a breath of fresh air for those of us who are constantly faced with challenges that just don’t fit inside everyone else’s box. Thank you, Megan, for your bravery and openness in sharing your struggles and hardships and for creating such an amazing community!

ChopstixnpuddingHighly recommend to all parents with neurodiverse childrenWonderful podcast for any parent with a neurodiverse child. Every episode somehow fits into your life and you get something out it and it builds you up. My son has autism and even if the episode is about something completely different, there is always a piece that I relate to and have a positive take away. Highly recommend!!
-
L_E_AugustSo relatable!I felt so alone with my parenting experience raising an “out of the box” child, until I found On The Hard Days (and Mothers Together!). Every episode I’ve listened to has had at least one moment that makes me say “oh my gosh, me too!” It’s such a relief to feel a sense of belonging and community in my motherhood journey.
-
AndiMcsmithGenuine and relatableI had felt alone in parenting my neurodiverse kid since he was born. No one I knew had a child like mine and when I came across Megan’s podcast and support group, I knew I found my people. Start with the first episode and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about!

Grouper2011Much needed topicThere is such a need for this bonding! My granddaughter is special needs and I can’t wait to share this with my daughter. She needs a community exactly like this. Thank you fo being so real. 🤗

Joce_RN17Why didn’t I find your podcast sooner?!This podcast has been an absolute game changer for me as a mother of a son with SPD. Many of your son’s challenges and behaviors are identical to my own son’s behaviors. Things I feel inside that I have never been able to explain to anyone else, you have come forth with the answers I’ve tried to produce for so long. You discuss so many things that I’ve struggled with - inadequacies we feel as mothers, the difficulty in trying to understand our children and their needs and fears, the scrutiny received from other parents or even healthcare providers, the day-to-day challenges and how every day is different and the approach taken each day has to change because our kids are always changing and do not always respond to the same thing from one day to the next. I feel completely at ease now; I feel confident that the struggles my son and I face each day are not my fault, and I’m learning to accept him as he is and myself as I am. Most importantly, to take everything one day at a time. Megan, thank you so SO much for making this podcast; I cannot thank you enough for the validation you’ve given me as a parent on this journey with my son.

Thank you Megan for creating such a welcoming & inclusive community for moms of special kids.

Peace and Calm MomFilling my soulThis podcast is so real and helpful. Learning and relating to other parents is beyond helpful emotionally and spiritually. The episode 2-15 with Chef Kibby covered every passion that God has planted in my heart as a trauma informed parent coach, foster/adoptive parent and lover of good food and cooking. Thank you finding such amazing guests who are willing to share about their hard days.
-
HashacExactly what I have needed!I can’t say enough good about this podcast and what I discovered! I was having a really, REALLY hard day and was just searching for help and this podcast was the answer I was searching for! Mayflower 20Finally! Real, Raw, and AuthenticOn the Hard Days is a show for mother’s who are struggling raising as Megan calls them “out of the box kids.” Kids, like mine with ADHD, ASD, and other challenges that render traditional parenting strategies useless. Megan selects amazing guests and I love her casual, yet intuitive way of interviewing that brings out the most intimate and powerful stories and insights from each person on her show. She’s a genuine and real person who genuinely has a heart for helping other moms. Thank you, Megan!
-
LoisElizLetThank you!I throughly enjoyed listening to your podcast! I identified with the mothers and the struggles we face with our "neurodiverse" children! We all need more support when our kids are young! Thank you!
-
Chef KibbyA podcast for fathers, too!I know Megan is speaking primarily to moms, but I have been getting so much value from her personal insights and candid conversations. I feel like it’s helping me better understand my wife and family so that I can be more supportive. Thanks!

RedJen39Just what I've been looking forThis is what I listen to when I am having a hard day. It's been refreshing to hear Megan's stories and her perspective on parenting a challenging child. I am so thankful for her insights, humor and most of all, keeping it real. We are all in this together and this podcast is full of encouragement for this hard but rewarding journey of parenting.

Ashley PowersFreaking AMAZING!Ladies you crushed this episode! Busy momma of 3 over here 🙋🏼♀️ and this episode was everything! Although I never had the classic postpartum I do have a history of depression and anxiety. So I can totally relate to the rage feeling on so many levels. Thank you so much for the awesome listen I can’t wait to listen to more 🤍

CldWtchrA deep, cleansing breath of REALITY!Until I listened to the first episode, I thought I was alone in the challenges I faced with my child. I had no one to commiserate or game plan with because none of my family or friends seem to have a child like mine. Megan’s matter of fact representation of what it is like day in and day out to raise a difficult child is a breath of fresh air. I now have a community of parents that support one another and are committed to developing a healthy parent-child relationship that will foster the growth of strong, stable, independent, respectful, empathetic adults. I highly recommend listening to any parent!
-
supersashaYou’re Not AloneI thought we were the only family on this path. Our son is amazing. He is so bright, yet his struggles prevent him from succeeding in a traditional classroom and childhood programs. Traditional parenting approaches do not work for him. He is snuggly and loving, yet can escalate into intense meltdowns. Special needs programs have not been successful since his needs are so unique. He’s an out of the box child. As a mom, I want to know that I’m not alone. I found Megan online & I now have a fellow mother to walk with me on my journey. There is no judgement here. Megan’s podcast and online communities will lift & empower you. You’ll learn that there are so many of us with “out of the box” children. This podcast provides the perfect break to listen, calm your mind, and know that you can do this, Momma!

Tired 2e MommaWe’re in this together!I hear you and I’m with you on this 2e journey. My son is also 7 and is highly gifted. He struggles with social skills and severe anxiety which exhibit the adhd-type behaviors, all together equaling Aspergers for my son. Throw in sensory processing disorder, pragmatic language struggles...! Your waffle/hangry story is very relatable here! Glad to have found you and looking forward to more episodes.
