Returning to writing and so excited!
I just found this podcast a couple of weeks ago, and though I haven't even listened to half the episodes, it has already educated and inspired me so much. I was recently laid off from my corporate job as a Customer Success Manager and I plan to go back to freelance writing and editing, which was my previous career for more than 10 years. Emma and Kaleigh have updated my knowledge of tools, processes, and so many other aspects of freelance writing, and I honestly can't wait to get back in the game. What I'm learning from them has bolstered my confidence and is instrumental in helping me stay the course and continue to learn!

Binged 5 episodes and you should too.
As a freelance editor who works both with authors pursuing self publishing and freelance writers who need a managing editor for their subcontractors, Kayleigh and Emma are so relatable, fun to listen to, and full of sage wisdom and advice. These two women are the types of clients I work with and their perspective on the writing process, subcontracting, balancing life and work, editing, and just generally how to exist is such candid and valuable information for all writers, editors, and freelancers in this space. I highly recommend subscribing to this podcast!

Has taught me to think like a business owner
I’ve been a freelance writer for many years, but have always done it part time around my children’s schedules. Listening to Kaleigh and Emma has helped me start to think about what I’m doing as a legitimate business and something I can turn into full-time work once my kids are a little older. Thanks ladies!

    Love this podcast
Kaleigh and Emma keep it so real talking about the business of freelance writing. I’m lucky to know both of them in real life, but I love how deep the conversations go without taking up too much of my time. Because let’s face it, who has hours a week to listen to podcasts? The best 20 minutes of my week. Keep going!

    Must-listen for freelance writers
These two are a breath of fresh air when it comes to potentially boring subject matter (no offense.) So great to hear from two smart women who approach important topics within this space.

    Informative and entertaining
After listening to a handful of episodes I can tell this is a great resource! The podcast has really solid content—it covers issues that are relevant to freelance writing, of course, but also running a small business and professionalism with clients and coworkers. But importantly it’s also entertaining and to-the-point—they make these relatively dry topics interesting, without rambling. 5 stars

The Only Freelance Writing Podcast You’ll Need
Whether you’re a freelance write with years of experience under your belt or a total beginner, you’ll know more than you did before tuning in. Not only do Emma and Kaleigh have great chemistry but also they have very different experiences, giving the listener varying perspectives on a topic. Couple that with a good sense of humor and their positive vibes, making this a must-listen. Also, the podcast is packed with golden nuggets that you can put into practice. No bogus promises. No B.S. They talk about real, useful advice and discuss the challenges they’ve faced throughout their careers and the different approaches they’ve taken to succeed. It’s one of those podcasts were you feel you’re part of the conversation somehow, making them very engaging talks to listen to. I only wish there more episodes, but hey, that’ll just make me appreciate season 3 even more. Hands-down my favorite podcast on freelance writing. Keep up the good work guys and your sense of humor, you’re blast to listen to! Cheers, John

    Fantastic advice from industry pros
This podcast is a MUST for any freelance writers or aspiring freelancers. I’ve been running my own writing business for seven years, and I’m learning so much from listening to Kaleigh and Emma and their wisdom. If only this podcast existed when I was just starting out! It would have saved me years of headache and hassle. I love that in each short episode, they both cover the basics and dig deeper into some of the more nuanced challenges that freelancers face. These two will steer you in the right direction — and with a sense of humor that makes each episode feel like you’re hanging out with old friends. I’m so grateful this podcast exists!

Motivating and energizing for your best work
This is my favorite type of business podcast because it’s like having a study group composed of all A-students. The conversations feel inspiring and enjoyable without ever becoming too heavy. But they’re also challenging and make you look inward for how you can improve your business and your work. I always leave an episode with an idea for my own business. Plus, they are just the right length. Must-listen for any copywriter, content strategist, or other professional who writes for a living.

    Serious know-how from two pros
This podcast is entertaining, actionable, and full of great tidbits. You can tell Emma and Kaleigh are drawing insightful gems from real-life experiences, answering questions both about freelance writing and business in general. I'm a fan of how they share examples to demonstrate exactly what they're talking about. Definitely a must-listen for anyone freelancing at any level!

Full of inspired and inspiring guidance
This podcast has so many helpful gems about running a freelance writing business, although I think so much of it could be valuable to other types of creative freelancers, too. I also appreciate that Kaleigh and Emma deliver their sharp expertise and guidance in such a refreshing way. I’m hopeful for another season, for many reasons, but a big one is this: It’s the much-needed antithesis of all those smarmy five-steps-to-writing-success shows out there.

Listen if you want to thoughtfully win at freelancing
I'm such a fan of Kaleigh and Emma, especially hearing their insights on how to win at freelance writing on your own terms. The podcast feels like you're hanging out with them, but at the same time structured enough to provide tactical advice from their experience freelancing. To be honest, I think most freelancers could learn from them as their recommendations go beyond writing focused work.
