When we were children, mother always told us not to talk to strangers. This conventional wisdom served us well in our youth and acted as a shield to protect us from danger, but this psychological seed often grows with us past childhood into an unwillingness as adults to engage with our fellow man.
In the new podcast "Talking to Strangers", host B.Michael Rickert seeks to challenge convention by getting out into the community to talk to real people. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, and by showing up in random locations all over Southern California, B hopes to attract every day people in every day situations who are willing to put themselves out there and have a spontaneous conversation with a complete stranger.
Any subject is on the table: Relationships, family, spirituality, politics, conspiracies, literally anything! There is no telling where the conversations will go! Who knows, maybe you will find yourself sitting across the table from B as co-host of your very own episode of "Talking to Strangers"! The question is: What's your story?
