Flowerbombsndecals ❤️Pure value 🤩🫶🏾I had to stop in the middle of listening to episode 137 just to leave this review! I first found your podcast earlier this week by randomly searching “craft,” hoping for some direction and connection in my journey of starting a custom bling business. From the very first episode, I was hooked. But today—this episode hit differently. Your message on value spoke straight to me and shifted my mindset in a way I’ve been struggling to maintain. I’ve never saved a podcast before, but every episode I’ve heard from you is now in my archives. Thank you for being that girl! Your interviews are incredible, and I’ve taken so many notes. I’m sticking by your side! -Keiish 💜

Quilting LizSuch a gem!!This show is phenomenal! I listen to it regularly and often dig through archives to find inspiration when I’m struggling with a next step in establishing a business. Elizabeth has thoughtful and candid commentary on a range of topics. I appreciate her willingness to be vulnerable in sharing what she struggles with, which is so reassuring for me. The guests she has a so relevant, too! From quilters to fabric designers to experts in marketing and management, her guests offer valuable insights and opportunities to find partners to work with on this journey. ❤️

KathyC32Smart GoalsHi Elizabeth, the podcast about goal setting by using SMART goals struck a note as I’ve done this with employees for years. I thought you gave good, simple, easy to understand examples but this method can also be used for big goals as long as you break them down into smaller steps. Example:“Make a Quilt” can be broken down into: choose a pattern, buy fabric, cut fabric, sew blocks, etc. There is one other concept to keep in mind. If the goal is to learn a new skill, then taking a class should only represent 20%, being mentored 10%, and the other 70% should be actions that involve doing the thing you are learning. Example: learn to play guitar would be, take a class, practice 10 minutes a day, ask instructor for help on tricky parts. Thanks for the variety of topics you cover. They are interesting and make me think!

G LachA Godsend!I stumbled upon this podcast, looking for something encouraging and informative to listen to. I quickly realized that God used this to help encourage me to do more in pursuit of my dreams. I love the encouragement Elizabeth gives. Her gentle guidance is so helpful. Thank you for a wonderful podcast that encourages and inspires us to be and do more than we think we can.

Always Listening1Enlightening for AllI don’t have a crafting business, and I wouldn’t even call myself a serious crafter or quilter. But every week, I tune in to be inspired and empowered to chase my goals—whether they’re craft-related, career-focused, or something else entirely. Elizabeth’s warmth, wisdom, and refreshing vulnerability keep me coming back for more!
-
CBQ MichelleEvergreen and timelyElizabeth’s voice in the quilting entrepreneur space is invaluable. I appreciate the evergreen component of this podcast as a year ago I unfollowed because I simply wasn’t ready. But now! I’m excited to learn from her and implement pieces of what she is saying here!
-
MvquiltsI am back to write again, what does that tell you?Yes I am writing the review again because after listening to each episode I have more and more gratitude for Elizabeth’s honesty and vulnerability, knowledge and generosity of sharing it. I wait for each episode to come as I know it will teach me something, it will inspire me and it will make me think and face myself! Not too many things out there can do that. And I need you to know that, having had a privilege to meet Elizabeth in real life this past September (oh Sundance memories!), she is truly as warm, generous and genuine as you think. So whatever future holds for this podcast and your business Elizabeth, I am here for it and cheering you on.

aliciamae85Vulnerable, personal, relatableI’m a small business owner (online quilt shop) who is trying to figure out so many things as I just started a year ago. I appreciate Elizabeth’s vulnerability and personal stories. I am one that likes to learn all the details so that I have a gauge as I make my own decisions and she does just that in her podcast. Thank you for taking the time to share all of it. The good, the bad, the hard, the fun, and especially the hope for a future in creating businesses out of passions. Keep up the great, inspiring work! And if you haven’t give Elizabeth a listen, you won’t be sorry!
-
The Birch CottageOpen and Fresh ConversationJust good, honest and open conversations about turning your craft passion into a career. Elizabeth gets real and shares insightful information, including bumps you might experience along the way, challenges, and hope.

OhKayeQuiltingThis is InvaluableI’ve been listening and learning from Elizabeth for a couple of years. Episode 173 was really insightful for me. I will be hosting my first live event in a few months and this gave me some ideas that I have not yet implemented- such as making sure the participants know what to wear. I also attended the first retreat virtually and I can tell you that Elizabeth is so gracious to speak about how things didn’t go well and how she addressed those issues. She is a class act. TookygalMy first crafter biz podcast!Thought it would be a good use of my time to listen to some podcasts on my new adventure. Finally starting my business. Scroll through all the different options, Craft Corner about Instagram. So I thought I would start with this one. When I see those that have been so successful like Nicole Burke, it is super intimidating. I look at all the Instagram pages, watch all the cute little videos, I love it! However, it is very easy to get caught up and “I’m nowhere near that” type of thinking. For now I’m just going to keep forging on doing what I Gotta do to make this happen and not gonna worry about what I need to do a week from now. Thank you so much! I will be listening to much more of your series.
-
StephBeatyInteresting, informativeThis show features interesting small business owners giving real-life lessons learned. It also has a high production quality, making it easy to listen to.

tiffanygreenphotoVery Inspiring!I’ve listened to a few podcasts here and feel more educated and driven after each one, to work towards accomplishing my dream. It’s nice to resonate with her and her guest speakers that have become so successful in something they love to do, but know that they too, started out at some point, at the beginning of a journey that lead them thru lots of positives and some challenges, which all needed to happen in order to become who they are in their career today. Elizabeth’s story is so inspiring and I’m excited to learn more from her along my own path of craft to career!
-
AJE COSVery helpful tidbits.Elizabeth has a very unique perspective and shares some great information that I’ve not heard anywhere else. A good listen for sure.
-
Alligator FeetLove the ideas sharedThanks for this podcast I love the ideas shared here and wish some of them were longer with even more information. However, I sometimes get the feeling that Elizabeth has told the person she is interviewing not to say certain things, like they’re skirting around answering something that came up. Or maybe they are hesitant on their own? Is that just me? I will definitely keep listening with an open mind. I have so much to learn and I’m excited to move forward!
-
CreaTiff QuiltingNew fan!I’m a few episodes in, and love how Elizabeth speaks to the quilter and future businesswoman in me!

Susieq4everLoved Success is not correlated with EffortThanks Elizabeth for this podcast episode about focusing your time/effort and energy on the things that you do well and enjoy and delgating other tasks to others. I have had an executive coach telling me this for years with my career in science! Great advice and I like how you provided some examples of what can be delegated out, saving yourself for the more creative parts of your business. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of these poscasts and you cover many topics that interest me. - Susan

FieldsofLinenSerendipityI originally stumbled onto the Craft to Career podcast when Elizabeth was interviewed on another podcast. I’m so glad I did. I listen to podcasts while I’m walking and Elizabeth’s topics are always engaging and keep me entertained. I also really like that she doesn’t sugarcoat difficult topics. I just listened to episode #161. It was a hard truth that I needed to hear. Elizabeth makes you feel like she’s “been there, done that”. In a word, she’s authentic.
-
ButtonbucketBreaking It Down to Take Fun Action!I just listened to episode 161, and it was so helpful! I’ve been slowly building my art business for the past 3 years, so I’ve heard similar things, but the way Elizabeth broke it down finally clicked in my brain! I want to build a business I WANT a run! And it’s much simpler than I was making it out to be. She also introduced me to quilt pattern making… and now I want to make my first quilt and see where I go from there! Thank you, Elizabeth!
-
fpbearThank you Elizabeth!I have listened to several dozen of your podcasts and still have a quite a few more in the queue! I’m also taking your quilt pattern writing course currently. I feel like I’m drinking from a fire hose with all the wealth of information you are providing both here and in the 3 day course but in a good way! You’ve definite honed your niche for this customer! It’s exactly what I needed at the exact time. Thank you!
-

B.A BaileyA podcast to help you get your foot in the doorI’ve listened to Elizabeth from Quilter’s Candy almost from the beginning. I’ve played around with the idea of being a quilt-penuer for the last two years and she makes it sound possible, so much so I’m looking at business licenses and putting myself out there!
-
A Longtime Texas FanI loved the Janet Clare interview! It was so refreshing to hear Janet Clare’s thoughts on setting goals, following your dreams and not being afraid of failure. Her creative journey is inspiring. I’ve sewn a few quilts using the fabrics that she has designed for Moda and I’ll appreciate them even more now that I’ve gotten to know more about her!
-
Kaiti KlucasMy brain is explodingThis podcast is so fun! It’s inspiring and encouraging and really get my brain firing off ideas and solutions to questions I’ve had. It’s such a fun podcast idea that I never would have thought would be a thing! Love it!!

DL ChurchGlad you are part of my journeyI am grateful for your voice! Your podcasts are interesting and informative…but more importantly relatable and encouraging. I started developing surface design skills last year when I became inspired to create my own fabric for my Treasure Pouches. It’s been a slow go, but I’ll soon be an empty nester and want to catapult my career in designing fabric and paper goods. Boy would I love a coaching session with you! I feel it could be a game changer for us both! Thank you for the opportunity! PS I know emotions were high for you in Ep. 132. Thank you for being real. Big love- Dana Facebook: DiamondCExchange I don’t know when I wrote that message above. guess I didn’t click send! It all remains true! Today, July 5, I wanted to comment on Ep 161. Thank you. I needed that! Take it step by step, say no to things that do not align, don’t always have to be hustling to be successful. My biggest thing is #1 deciding on the plan/system, and #2 being consistent. Then #3, not comparing. Probably need a coach! So, I always think when I write a review and click send that I am done. But then when I come back to write another review on a different podcast on my text is still in the edit review window! So I’m trying it again today to thank you for episode 165. There wasn’t much on the episode description and I almost didn’t listen. I really felt grounded and a connection to both Janet and you!! Clicking send! (Again) Thank you Elizabeth!

individual511Minki KimI LOVED the interview with Minki Kim. I have been following her for a long time. I find her tutorials so easy to follow. Her patterns unique and fun. She is so pleasant to interact with on instagram. I have reached out to her and she always responds. I am a new quilt designer and just opened my online shop and hearing how others started, their fears, their inspirations truly help (at least me anyway) to feel normal as I start this journey. I have her you tube channel on all the time. I love it playing in the background while I sew and love her music choice. Great interview!! Thank you!!

Sew Harmony (Melodie)A long time coming…I have a confession. I have been listening to the Craft to Career podcast since it started. I’ve loved every episode - all of the wisdom and stories that Elizabeth shares along with her amazing guests; I have been eating it all up for years with the intent to start my business. My confession is that I have been a victim to my mindset. I have for quite a while thought I would love to write a review, but this is quickly followed by the thought: when the time is right, when I start my business. Over the past week I have been presented with the opportunity to attend Elizabeth’s upcoming business retreat in the fall and after reaching out to her with questions, she promptly responded with the kindest and most encouraging message about joining their group. Elizabeth made me feel so worthy of entering into this retreat with a group of amazing Quilterpreneurs, and I had this AHA! moment when I realized, this is the same Elizabeth that I know from her podcast. The same uplifting and educating cheerleader who shows up week after week to help each of us reach our full potential. I am honored to be one of the attendees for her fall retreat and even more glad that I have had the opportunity to learn and grow with Elizabeth through her podcast. In her latest podcast with the incredible Nicole Burke, Nicole said you have to decide that you want your life to be different than it is right now. I have made my decision. I’m stepping into a new chapter and am so thankful to have these amazing ladies guiding my steps. Do yourself a favor and subscribe to the Craft to Career podcast immediately!!

Pippi7436A must listen for aspiring craft business ownersThank you Elizabeth for consistently delivering amazing content! #sewrunEchoesThis is a really informative podcast. I like if but I want to suggest you get some sound panels or something in the room you podcast in. It’s very echo-y.

PinUpGhoul-b17Exactly what I’m looking forThis is fantastic and so timely for me. Elizabeth really gives the brass tacks of running a successful craft based business while not shying away from the hard stuff. I’m loving the clarity and transparency in her approach. I look forward to being an ongoing listener.

Vicki _at_EBQuiltsCompanyThree Cheers for Sarah Clark!!!Dear Elizabeth, I am only 5 minutes into episode 148 with Sarah Clark and needed to pull over to submit a review… She was able to articulate her WHY for pursuing her creative career so artfully, and every word resonated. I too have been ‘creative-adjacent’ in my career, longing to find something that fulfills me the way quilting does and am excited about the bright possibilities ahead of me. THANK YOU, Sarah, for giving these thoughts form for me, and THANK YOU, Elizabeth, for using your platform to empower other creatives to reach these goals. Bravo!!! (Can’t wait to hear the rest of what Sarah has to say!! 😁) —Vicki at EBQuiltsCompany

gamgamloveGot me thinking in a new wayI love this podcast always but episode 145 with Gloria Chou really inspired me to think about PR in a new and exciting way. Elizabeth’s interview with her really helped me understand the difference between marketing and PR. Also how the possibility to get published is possible even for a small business like mine. Fantastic episode!

A Grateful Fan!A Forever Fan…I’ve listened to every one of Elizabeth’s podcasts from the beginning (many more than once!) and I can’t even begin to described how much I’ve learned from her and her guests! It can be difficult trying to navigate the ins and outs of breaking into the quilting industry. This podcast is invaluable, and Elizabeth has been like a good friend who has had my business back. She’s so willing to share everything she knows about being a savvy businesswoman, in an honest and humble way. The guests and topics are incredibly inspiring, and I look forward each Friday to listening and learning! Thank you, Elizabeth, for all you do to rise up your listeners! I’m a forever fan! Bonnie from LAKEGIRLQUILTS

I love quiltsMakes me feel like I can do thisThe Craft to Career podcast is informative and encouraging. I listen every week and like the Friday releases. I work a 9-5 and listen on my way to work. TGIF because I can take the new ideas and get to work on my business when my enthusiasm peaks after the podcast. It’s truly something I look forward to weekly.

LisaJaneArtNot just for quilters!I just found this podcast today and I am currently binge-listening 😊. I am an artist who sells note cards, greeting cards, calendars, etc. The tips Elizabeth shares are applicable to any type of creative entrepreneur. While listening to her episode about the power of story, I took so many notes. I’m excited to use her suggestions to improve the quality of my monthly newsletters. I can’t wait to continue making my way through her other episodes!

Janie BradySomething for everyone…I love listening to this podcast while in my sewing room. Elizabeth does an excellent job diversifying the topics and guests she provides for her listeners every week. Many of the people I follow on Instagram are people I have “met” virtually through this podcast, and I love that I can continue to learn from these people even long after their episode is over. Each episode is a gift that truly keeps on giving. Whether you are just thinking about starting your creative career or you are a seasoned business owner, this podcast will provide you a wealth of knowledge and benefit you wherever you are on your creative journey.
