    Great pod, but missed opportunity
I love what y’all do here, but the lack of coverage of Prime’s Wheel of Time is a puzzling omission. After a rough first season, the show has really come into its own. WOT is better than Rings of Power (with a fraction of the budget) and at least as good as House of the Dragon. This show wears its fantasy bona fides on its sleeve; there’s no pretense of “prestige” in its presentation.

Content is great and the flow is improving
Like a lot of others have commented, the pods sometimes are challenging to listen to because Jason and Rosie both want to finish each others’ sentences, but neither yield the floor. As listeners, we understand that both hosts are incredibly knowledgeable and excited about the subjects they cover. I had to take a break from listening to the pod because it got pretty chaotic with the constant talking over one another. After coming back to the pod, I’ve noticed fewer interruptions and am able to digest each host’s entire train of thought. If there’s anyone else out there like me that decided to take a break, now is a great time to come back because Jason and Rosie are still two of the most entertaining hosts out there and they’ve taken the community’s feedback and made changes for the better.

    Rosie, please stop interrupting
Jason is currently the strongest overall genre and nerd content podcasters—more knowledgeable and more interesting than any of the current Ringer hosts, just as funny as the Weekly Planet guys, etc. And I do think Rosie brings a great energy and upbeat vibe to the show. But gurl, you need to consciously work on not interrupting your cohost and guests. I’m sure it’s not intentional, but it makes listening to the podcast very stressful.

    Love the show but
How do you guys consistently mispronounce things that are pronounced correctly in the content you’re reviewing? Re: Severence

Jason and Rosie know their stuff!
Been listening to Jason since the Talk the Thrones days!! Excellent insight and hilarious conversations as always

    a real shame
Jason was one of the best a most listenable podcasters in this space for years and now he hosts a show that is genuinely unlistenable and caters only to people who enjoy being gaslighted into believing that the MCU is high art. It’s genuinely sad and bad to listen to these two discuss current culture.

I finally had to stop listening because of Rosie. Jason is the best in the business. Rosie is really really terrible. I want to continue listening because of Jason but it is no longer tolerable due to Rosie. If she could at least stop laughing at absolutely nothing every few seconds with that extremely annoying cackle it would be a step in the right direction. I’m bewildered that Jason chose her as his co-host. The show would be better if he did it solo or with a parrot, barking dog in a public park. All of these things would be far less annoying than Rosie.

    Hold space.
I hope one day Joel can hold space for a single episode that she doesn’t say she’s holding space 500 times.
  • Antonyche
    Rosie, please stop.
I love Jason, and I love a lot of what Rosie brings to the table, but I feel like Rosie has gotten some severe main character syndrome lately and cannot let someone finish a thought without interrupting. Rosie, you’re great, but we don’t need you to participate in every sentence. It makes a potentially great podcast into borderline unlistenable at times.

    fun show
it’s fun but they really really need to stop talking over each other and yelling

    Love Jason
Rosie is really hard to listen to though. Like, take a freaking breath and let Jason get ONE word in

Thank you for your generosity and sense of fun
I enjoy spending time with J & R. Even when the material they are covering might disappoint or frustrate they celebrate. It has become difficult for me to engage with some long time favorite shows that operate in the nerd culture space because they have lost what is joyful about the work. J & R are careful, empathetic, intuitive, and so smart about what they choose to share with listeners. Always genuine, always honest. And a pleasure to listen to.

So grateful that they are back!
I discovered Jason during the Binge Mode Star Wars. He and Mal helped me discover some really interesting stories that have changed my life. The direction he has taken X-Ray Vision with Rosie and guests has pushed me to discover even more incredible stories, and I will always be grateful for that. I’m so glad they are back and can’t wait to see where they will go from here. Rosie is an excellent partner to Jason. There seems to be lots of tough reviews going toward Rosie. I strongly support Rosie as a cohost and love what she brings to the pod. Thank you Jason and Rosie.
  • jwspiess
    Increasingly disappointing
It seems like half the show is ads now which leaves the actual discussions to little more than restating the bullet point outlines of the movie or episode.

    My Nerd Brain Thanks You!
Jason and Rosie and so delightfully nerdy and they make me excited about whatever they’re talking about. I’ve always been into the X-Men from the cartoon and the MCU stuff, but they’ve inspired me to start reading comics! Thank y’all! I will say though since they’ve been back there are WAAAAYYYYY too many ads. The show is like half ads now.
  • Glawton
I really want to like this show
But the constant screaming and cackling into the microphone is just unbearable. Please have someone mix your sound levels. Also a good quarter of every episode is the hosts straight reading off of a Wikipedia page. I appreciate the background for some of these characters and properties, but the delivery is so flat. This show has a lot of potential, but it’s not quite there.

    To Rosie
Please stop interrupting every chance you get. It’s very annoying. You don’t need to have the last word. Show some respect. Almost unlistenable if it wasn’t for Jason
  • 1BLens
Your thoughts on toxic SW Bros
Lol. That hello in the beginning is extremely annoying. What are your thoughts on the StarWars toxic brosBase personal attacks on the creators of theAcolyte as well as the Lucasfilm decision-makers?

    Rosie needs to slow down
I love Jason, but Rosie constantly talks over him when he is trying to get a point across or tell a joke. Look I get you write for IGN, but people listen to the pod for Jason. You have great insights but need to be a better co-host. Rosie literally does the thing she despises which is to talk over someone and not respect them.

    Abandonment Issues Resolved
In the wise words of Marshall Mathers … Guess who’s back? Back again … I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve long-enjoyed this precious Pod, but have never taken time to tell R&J just how necessary and appreciated they are. Like most action heroines, I maintain two separate but equally important personas. The corporate, buttoned-up businesswoman … and the total Marvel/Star Wars/GOT/DC nerd girl. I felt so lucky to have found XRay through Crooked Media and didn’t realize how much I needed it… until it was gone. I am so grateful to have these brilliant, insightful, and hilarious hosts back in my pod queue. I beg of you, never leave me again! Your forever fan, Jess

    my favorite podcast!
Jason and Rosie are so delightful to listen to, I find myself choosing new shows to watch based on what they’ve discussed already so I can listen to more of their content, their banter with each other is so fun and their knowledge of the material they break down is always helpful and insightful. so happy this show is back on air!!

    ITS BACK!!!
This is my favorite podcast and when it ended at Crooked, I was so sad. Then…all of a sudden…it appears again. It is reborn like a superhero that never really dies. Rosie and Jason are knowledgeable, fun, and always ready to discuss the big topics in nerd-dom. It’s comics, it’s, sci-fi, it’s books, it’s a little bit of heaven for this 41year old comic book kid.

    Best podcast ever
Would die for Rosie and Jason. So thankful to have them back to talk about my X Men 97.
  • Debtastic0917
    Best in the game!
I love this pod so much! They are hilarious and know everything from the source material of the movies/tv they discuss while also adding a lot of comedy and humanity because they are great people. Come for the thoughts stay for the laughs!
  • Derekw44
    Jason amazing rosie terrible
Jason is funny smart and an amazing podcaster. Rosie is the opposite of all of those things and she needs to slow down and let him speak. She just talks over Jason nonstop and calls everything iconic and queer. If she just chilled out and let Jason lead the show this would be a good podcast instead of borderline unlistenable
  • Metsfan127
    They’re Back!!!!
So excited they’re back to podding. I’ve been a fan of Jason’s nerdy podcasts (no offense to your sports side) for years and now following Rosie’s work is a bonus.
  • Awesome? Awesome.
    Love it!
Love this show! So glad they’re back!

    Jason and Rosie Rule
I’m new to X-Ray Vision but already adore it dearly. Jason and Rosie provide insightful commentary and give engaging interviews with industry luminaries. If I ever say I don’t love this podcast, assume I’ve been replaced by a Skrull. Come say hi in the discord!

    Searched “comics” in Apple Podcasts
A couple of years ago I was looking for comic and pop culture podcasts and I found x-ray vision. The knowledge of history from Rosie and Jason are exactly what I needed. Everything that I love they cover, GOT, comics, tv, etc. thank y’all for keeping this show awesome. You have a fan for life!
  • J-Love92
Opened Apple for first time for this Review
This podcast is like going back in time to watch anime and play video games with friends after school. Learning about a new tv series, comic book, or video game from Jason and Rosie is as fun as hearing about things I already love. And the guests are great, especially Cody Ziglar who I already wanted to befriend but now even more that I know he puts his amigos in his work. Thank you for this!
  • michaeldorf
Best pop culture podcast out there
Jason and Rosie are a really delightful combo of a ridiculous amount pop culture knowledge. I relish their comics recommendations, and I appreciate their insightful approach to breaking down shows and movies. They aren’t there to destroy stuff they don’t like, they’re critics who are finding what works and celebrating that these stories are being told at all! It’s a refreshing approach to criticism. Thanks my guys.

    Love these people!
I’ve been listening to this podcast since Day One; it’s been great from the start and only getting better. Every time my phone notifies me of a new episode, I’m like, “Well obviously that’s what I’m listening to next!” Listening to Jason and Rosie (so happy she’s now a full-fledged co-host!) is a joy! Their enthusiasm is infectious and their knowledge is extensive. As a nerd who doesn’t have much comic book knowledge, I really appreciate the context these two provide to all the superhero movies and shows out there. The Force is strong with this one; mischief managed expertly; with great fandom comes great responsibility; you have my bow AND my axe; I hope this show lives long and prospers (don’t hate me for putting Star Wars and Star Trek in the same sentence)!

    Insightful Comic Commentary
Rosie and Jason are both great, and when the podcast was first released I never missed a week. I started noticing that Rosie and Jason talk over each other constantly, particularly Rosie, and it just started to really grate on me so I stopped listening. But after I saw the new Spider-Man movie I was super excited to hear what they both had to say about it: I know a lot about what Rosie thought of it because she interrupts Jason literally every time he starts speaking. I didn’t mean to hate listen but I was trying to catch a moment where Jason actually finishes a thought without Rosie talking over and it doesn’t happen - very very frustrating.

    Get my geek on
I have been a fan of Jason's from the Ringer days and was happy to follow him over to Crooked. He has introduced to so much great stuff and also brought in Rosie and Zig so life is better because of X-Ray Vision.
  • mallratt42
    One of my favorites!
My only complaint is that Rosie and Jason don’t cover literally everything I consume. So I guess my real complaint is that the multiverse doesn’t actually exist. But that isn’t their fault.
  • J . R. Scherer
    Listen to this podcast
Jason and Rosie are great hosts and I love their immense enthusiasm. It’s also super rare that this old nerd (me) says “Well, actually…” while listening and that’s impressive!
  • SKBinCLE
    👍🏻
I only listen to the YellowJackets episodes, as I don’t watch any of the other shows they cover, but I really enjoy their commentary and how deep they go. They sometimes hit on theories or ideas I don’t hear in other recaps of the show. I’ve loved Jason since his Ringer days, and while I miss his chemistry with Mal, Rosie is a worthy partner and a great host. I only wish they did stand-alone episodes on each show so I didn’t have to skip content and try to figure out timestamps. I just want more from them!
  • davidsonrachel6
    Incredible
Look, Rosie and Jason are delightful and funny hosts with a left wing bent, but that’s obvious. What stops me in my tracks is Rosie’s uncanny knowledge of comics. As a tannic the only thing I can compare it to is great rabbi’s knowledge of the Talmud. It’s incredible
  • Aschvez84
    💜 Rosie and Jason
Rosie and Jason are so fun and entertaining. I’m not even a big comic /Sci fi person and I still listen because they are THAT good. Very appreciate their inclusivity and how they make everything so easy to understand. Rosie knows EVERYTHING 🙌🏼
  • MD-Ph0t0
    Great show!
I love the show. It has turned me on to a bunch of comic stories and shows. I do wish they would stick to sci-fi and fantasy shows though. I’m kinda tired of hearing about Succession.
