Glory Days: Dreams & Nightmares

133

"It's my honor to present the first College Football Playoff National Championship trophy to coach Urban Meyer and The Ohio State Buckeyes." Pandemonium! Excitement! The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire! First, let me stop you here. Before the time machine gets fired up, ask yourself a couple of things:

(1) Have I ever listened to a sequential retelling of College Football's first climb to playoff supremacy?

(2) Have I ever wanted to hear a behind-the-scenes take from the players on the endurance it took to overcome a year's worth of unprecedented circumstances?

(3) Do I enjoy a mix of light and heavy-hearted storytelling?

If the answer to any one of these is yes, we are certain you will enjoy Captain Evan Spencer's and Captain Joshua Perry's recapturing of events. From the loss of two Heisman Trophy candidates to the unfortunate death of a teammate, Chris Caldwell (Co-Host) Evan and Josh expertly weave in and out of conversations yet to be told first-hand.

Stories that trend as light as post-game house parties on up to play-by-play's similar to what the team was thinking, feeling, doing the championship week their 3rd string quarterback took reigns of the offense.

As mentioned by Head Coach Urban Meyer, "(this is) one of the greatest stories in college football history." So, why not relive it straight from the source?

    Great in-depth on/off field retrospect
Amazing, honestly. Carefully- and professionally-crafted, both serious and funny when and as it needs to be. Appreciated the detailed look into a historic team on and off the field from players’ and fans’ perspectives. Excited for the next venture by Glory Days.

    Incredibly well done
Josh and Evan give awesome behind the scenes insight- it sounds like they could talk for days about that season. Chris the host does a great job of asking good questions and letting them talk. Awesome trip down memory lane!

    This is a must listen
I have been an Ohio State Fan for almost 50 years. This podcast is done so well. It takes you behind the scenes and talks about the back stories that occur during the season. All the highs, all the lows. The human aspect of these young athletes who are at the top of their athleticism and the coaches who push them to take that very next step. Amazing. Thank you to the producers of this podcast and certainly, thank you to Evan Spencer and Joshua Perry for their stories. All Buckeye fans out there, take the time to enjoy this production.

A MUST Listen for College Football Fans
This was such a well done, funny, and nostalgic look back at the most adversity-ridden teams in football history. A team that overcame 2 Heisman hopeful quarterbacks going down with injury. A team that overcame back-to-back-to-back Heisman trophy finalists with a 3rd string quarterback. A must listen and a must share. Go Bucks!

    Great Show
Thanks for a fantastic trip down memory lane.👍🏻 Edit: Zeke ran for 230 in the Alabama game, not 220.

    Players are the BEST Storytellers
This team solidified my love for the program when I was younger, and listening to this podcast now as a senior at tOSU is amazing. There will never be a day where I won’t want to listen to these players talk about their experiences, motivations, or inside perspectives about a season as iconic as this one! #GoBucks

    Go Bucks!
A fascinating inside look at one of college football’s most successful programs from two leaders of the most recent championship team. Great anecdotes and insights that only the players would know. A very entertaining listen for any college football fan.

A must listen for buckeye fans 🙆‍♂️🙌🙏🙆‍♂️
Never been so excited for a pod. Those early years of Urbana’s teams and esp that ‘14 ‘ship deserve their story told in long form. First episode did not disappoint. Looking forward to the rest.
