Everything I needed to start my coaching business!
As an auDHDer I was burned out from getting overworked by other people. When I got my MSW, I knew I’d need to start my own business so I could structure it to meet my needs. Patrick’s podcast gave me the courage and information I needed to take the leap into private practice as smoothly as possible.

I think one of the unique aspects of this show is that while it emphasizes group practice owners as the audience, many of the principles translate to small businesses of any kind. I really appreciate the hosts wisdom, kindness, curiosity and authenticity. Definitely worth a listen if you are a leader of a small business!

    Great Entrepreneurial Resource
Ive been following Patrick online for some time now. He’s a great resource for Therapists who are entrepreneurs. I’ve had the pleasure to be a guest on his podcast to share my story of overcoming homelessness and Entrepreneurship. It’s amazing that he highlights real life stories of Therapists for others to learn from. Patrick was warm and easy to speak with. I hope to attend one of his entrepreneurial retreats. Give him a follow online if you haven’t already.

Everyone in or considering private practice should listen
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a couple of years now, and have been so excited to know more about Patrick and the people he connects with and brings on the show. It’s so refreshing to have such vulnerability and to talk about big sociopolitical topics in a way that can be distilled down into “this is normal, this makes sense, this is scary, and you can do it anyway.” “Doubt Yourself, Do It Anyway” has been Patrick’s mantra that I’m often saying to myself. I so appreciate this podcast and look forward to content each week!

    Diverse Voices + Perspectives
Love the podcast! Patrick keeps it real and is intentional about amplifying voices of therapists who historically have been left out or gone unheard - specifically BIPOC, Queer, & Neurodivergent Therapists. I really value the collection of speakers and the wide range of topics that the podcast covers.

    Authenticity at its finest!
This podcast not only brings insight into the intricacies of running a private practice, but it really outlines the “how to” so you really can be successful. Patrick and his guests don’t just give you all the glitz and frills of running a practice. They help you see all facets of it and how to navigate them successfully. They are all really transparent in their own mistakes and really want to help you not have to make the same ones. This is a mist listen for anyone wanting to start a private practice or just looking to make theirs even better!

    You’re not alone
Being a private practice therapist, I’ve often felt isolated. The common fears that often come with self promotion are not often talked about in networking circles. I found this podcast to be very refreshing and validating. I also love that it’s more than just a space to talk about feelings.(Haha, says the therapist). There’s plenty of practical advice on matters such as finances, retirement, taxes, etc. A great resource all around.

If you’re not listening, you need to be!!
If you’re a business owner, especially if you’re neurodivergent, you need to be listening to this. I am a private practice owner/therapist with ADHD, and I learn something from every episode. Patrick is an amazing speaker he keeps everything real and straightforward (or as straightforward as it can be). I know that I can trust him and the information that I hear from him and his guests. Give it a listen, and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

    What School Didn’t Teach Us
As a former guest on the podcast and avid listener, this is one of my top podcasts to strengthen my confidence as a private practice owner. I’m deeply thankful to Patrick and his guest for the knowledge they share openly. Many of us were not taught enough (if at all) in school around truly thriving as business owners. We’ve found creative resources to expand our gifts and continue to serve our people. This podcast is one of those resources and more!

Therapists: Listen to this podcast before starting PP
When I started private practice, I had little to no guidance. It’s such a lonely venture and it’s important to hear from therapists who have been there! So many therapists of different backgrounds are featured on Patrick’s podcast for All Things Private Practice, so you can take away a little something from everyone! This is one of the best ways to know what you’re getting into and maintain your confidence.
