Adds dimension to what’s out there…
As a parent in the process, I have come to really appreciate this podcast as a way for featured schools to show a bit of personality and really highlight what’s unique to them beyond the CDS and marketing material. The admissions officers really do give good tips you won’t find elsewhere, and I’d consider it required listening for students and support crew as they gear up to apply. John has been incredibly diligent with this project, and most schools on our daughter’s list now have an episode! Kinda great! Thanks, man!

Very helpful for parents and students!
Great podcast! It is very helpful for parents and high school students on their college admission journey. I would love to see a podcast on Texas A&M, the largest university in the country. Would love to see one on Trinity University too.

    Terrible college admissions podcast
I was looking for more info about colleges and thought this podcast would be helpful. Unfortunately it was a waste of time. The host seems like a nice guy but doesn’t demonstrate any knowledge himself… he basically asks the same softball questions of every guest and doesn’t get into the real differences between different colleges and their admissions policies. No back and forth or real conversation with the guests. He doesn’t seem to do any advance research about the schools and compliments the guests ingratiatingly about their responses. The Your College Bound Kid podcast is far better, and its hosts are actually knowledgeable about admissions and different colleges.

    Interesting
Good topics in college admissions are discussed. Nice energy but the hosts are not as sophisticated as others in the field who are better able to explain nuances in admissions (for example, there is no advantage to applying early to MIT or Harvard but the hosts don't seems to be aware of this). Still, it's a worthwhile show.
