This guy’s takes are some of the best in the business.

For some reason Nick Wright gets lumped in with other hot take artists in the media. Nick is very opinionated but every opinion is clearly well thought out, well researched and most importantly in today’s sports world….he clearly watches the games and actually still loves sports! I don’t agree with everything he says but I always listen to his opinions and at the very least they make me think and often open my eyes to how wrong the mainstream sports media is. Damonza is a great co host who keeps getting better and it’s very cool how much Nick enjoys doing the show with his son. It comes thru in the podcast. Great analogies, funny banter, well researched opinions….if you love football and the NBA- give it a shot.

His voice is so annoying

Since Cowherd first introduced him to my sports talk world, I’ve really enjoyed his takes. He handles his Chiefs bias well enough and is entertaining nonetheless. I’d also like to thank Nick for talking about Belichick dating a 24 year old at age 72…weird!!!

Been listening sense it started on radio Here in Kansas City Mo. was over the road trucking running south out of Joplin on hold to give my opinion on Jamal Charles, who is our only silver lining at the time being comparable to Tony Dorsett . Lost my radio signal by the time Nick got to me and he said he didn’t know if he’d go far but maybe and we’re getting to know each other I’d mention my radio signal was out and he left me on the phone line so I could listen to the show Yada yada yada, great dude .

This pod is the coolest, not least because it’s a dream come true. What dad doesn’t dream about hosting a sports show with his son? And both Nick and Damonza are the real deal. Can’t recommend the show highly enough.

When I first started listening to Nick Wright on 610 in KC, it was the sports talk equivalent of watching Mahomes in 2018. He was great out the gate and you knew he’d do great things. I love his work on television but am so happy this podcast, which shares the name of his old show in KC, has him back in the audio first format. Nick is at the top of his game and only getting better

Love the sports takes but leave the politics out of it. I hear political opinions all day and I used to listen to this pod to escape all that. Unfortunately I’ve heard more and more politics on this pod over the last 6 months.

Great show, his assistant should assist and talk much less. Have listened for years and Nicks daughters are much better than his son. It’s cringe worthy when he drags the show through the mud. I’m about to stop listening tho…

They make the best burgers. He has an admitted soft spot for KC but his takes are reliable.

I have loved the cheifs my whole life and my dad got me into first things first and now I listen to this. I am 13 years old and love everything about sports. I would do anything to meet Patrick Mahomes and Travis. Keep the hard work up nick! Oh and by the way “I don’t like this show……I love it!!!😂😂

Started listening to this, coming from Nick’s TV show but was surprised by how unprepared, uninformed, and just overall unintelligent the co-host is. Come to find out it’s Nick’s son. His show, his decision, and you have all the right to give your unqualified kid a job over a producer with an extensive resume who has been in this industry their entire life, but it’s so obvious it’s because they’re related and not because of any talent. I like Nick’s takes but dude can’t even pronounce words correctly. Makes it tough to listen sometimes

Quick wit, super smart, fabulous and spot on takes is what you get with Nick Wright. Politics aside, the show and Nick is an absolute delight. Nick bantering with his naive, way less knowledgeable son reminds me of me and my 14-year old son. Keep it up, I look forward to every pod. Love to have a drink one day and debate. Were the same age, I a smidge older, but my broadcast journalism degree didn’t get me quite as far. lol.

Along with Bomani’s “Right Time”, pod is Top-5 on my list of favorites… • Smart • Analytical • Authentic • Entertaining Perhaps not surprising that I first heard Nick on Bo’s pod. Now I’m big First Things First. For my money, FTF surpasses First Take and Undisputed.

Even though Nick doubted my Rams all year long and hoped we'll flop cause we mortgaged our future for a ring and overpaid Donald I still love his mostly objective analysis and listen every week! keep it up, and shout out for giving the stage to your kids and showing them where hard work gets you!

Nick Wright continues to do incredible work discussing NBA, NFL, and Tennis. He’s always authentic with his opinions and gives great context to his takes. Damonza is really coming into his own as a sports opinionist, and his relationship with Nick is what separates this show from others.

Nick is my second favorite media personality behind Shannon Sharpe lol, so getting his thoughts on sports and life is a must-listen for me. I like that he brings his family on and we get to see what his personal life is like. So if you watch First Things First you will definitely enjoy the pod. #neveradoubt
