The Real MamaLeeSo needed! So glad I found this!Wish I’d found it sooner. My girls are 18 and 15, yikes…I’d love to hear you speak with the occasional guest addressing parenting of older teens and young adults. As you know, we don’t stop parenting just cause they grow up, it’s just different. Either way, I’ll be listening, lots of what’s discussed here applies either way.

La'Shay PainterSo Relatable!I love listening to this podcast because your voice and delivery is just so down to earth. I also love your laugh and find myself trying to weirdly mimic it LOL! “Protecting the Gift” is a great book to recommend as an extension of “how to keep little ones safe”. You also mentioned on another episode the importance of connecting with your kids teachers. As a socially awkward person I would love an episode with tips on how to do that :-)

culture parent 1Many Thanks for This Program + QuestionMy wife and I are expecting our first child in June, and this program is really helpful. As a black man, it’s great to see people within the culture who are educated and experienced in what they are saying and providing helpful insight on the things to come and how to help our little ones grow into whole, healthy, competent, loving people. I do have a question: in your episode from 30MAR2023 were you relayed the story of one of your daughters having some behavioral issues with the baby sitter, I was genuinely shocked at how you handled it. I certainly never would have thought of that considering the danger involved (hot grease) and the disrespect shown to someone who her parents left as an authority figure. The books seem to be a nice idea. I do wonder how you all handled the matter of relationship repair, specifically between your daughter and the baby sitter. What did that look like? When was it addressed in relation to when the matter of your daughter’s emotional state was addressed? I know in life, we often do and say things to people that we shouldn’t, and it’s important to model humility and acknowledging the impact our words and actions can have others even when we have an explanation for our behavior. Maybe it’s in an episode I haven’t heard yet, but I’d appreciate your perspective on the matter. Thank You!

Poem44Love this show! This is such an informative podcast! Charisse is very knowledgeable and beaks topics down for everyone to understand; you can tell she is a teacher. I’m not a parent yet, however I listen to be informed of what to do from another perspective to be better prepared to motherhood. Thank you so much for providing this service!

DaniLen1So grateful!I absolutely love this podcast. I’ve been listening and even re-listening to this podcast for the past week. I’ve felt so empowered to recommit to my parenting goals and even try seeing my children’s more difficult behaviors as a learning opportunity and an opportunity to further connect. I’m so happy to have found this podcast and I can’t wait to listen and absorb more of Charisse’s wisdom!

WritereviewsforfunParenting Gems!I love this podcast!! It genuinely makes me think & is a great reminder that my children & myself are people! People who are constantly changing & have needs that change. While I wish the episodes were a little longer. I do appreciate how concise & straight to the point the content is.

JasmineKaimanaVery useful and convenient adviceThank you for making it easier to gain more insight from your experiences and training. I started using headphones so my little ones don’t see my reading content all day and podcasts are soo great for that. Everything I have learned so far from you has proved to be challenging but makes so much sense and I see the benefits. I am looking forward to learning more about parent vs. parent conflict resolutions because I have noticed my partner is intimidated by changes in his “natural” ability to parent. Again this was such a great surprise and gift!

NataliegoucheThe nuggets dropped are mind blowingI can’t tell you how insightful just the first episode was. Realizing that to be a great parent I have to re parent myself! That was a jaw dropper. I’m also learning to separate my Experiences from my child’s experiences and I can see how that will support me in being the best I can be for my kids. I’m really looking forward to getting more wisdom here. Charisse is such a treasure to this world of parenting.

Love it 222Brilliant.This spoke to my heart. “Each person is a seed that has their unique brilliance.” She champions the importance of self-care, delegating tasks, and creating a village. These are all things I, as a parent of 2, I can completely relate to needing! I love following Charisse on Instagram. And now I am looking forward to what she brings in future episodes of this amazing podcast!
