The most recent podcast had them live pitching product for close to 10 minutes in a 50 min episode. They are much more excited and animated when selling than discussing the team. Takes are basic and reaction based. An average sport gambling bros podcast. A poor STL City podcast.

Good content but Jake, please upgrade your mic/interface, the popping is quickly becoming unbearable

You can tell Jake and Justin care about the team and the city of STL. They provide honest insight on where the team is at with performance, transfers, and even throw in STL-wide news when they can. I love the coverage and the banter between these two guys. It’s a mix of data/analysis and pure fan pride. It’s everything you could ask for in a team-centric sports podcast.

Here’s the deal, these guys are really on the pulse of our beloved STL City SC. They are extremely relatable and very intelligent! My absolute go to for the insider info and for the breakdowns of all things CITY SC! Highly recommend all of their content!

Jake and Justin provide realistic and objective assessments of our St. Louis City Soccer Club, their opponents and the games, including the officiating. While other podcasts offer similar assessments, Jake and Justin are more thorough, more complete. While I don’t bet on the games, I do like that Jake and Justin share the odds of multiple types of bets that can be placed on any given game… they share their reasoning as to whether the odds are reasonable or not, and that segment often provides views of the games that help us appreciate the game more (even without betting). I also like that they were the first to introduce to us show the math behind the magic number, the number of Coty wins and opponent losses (and ties) which is different in a soccer league with ties / draws than in baseball with just wins and losses. I mostly listen to Ball Watching and have periodically watched the episodes in YouTube… both are great formats. Thank you, Jake and Justin!

These guys are great! I listen as soon as I can after every episode drops. They have a ton of fun and give great game and player breakdowns. The best way to keep up to date on St Louis City!

As a far flung St.Louis soccer fan in Vermont, I was so hungry for people who care about City at the level of detail that I am craving. These guys do not disappoint and the pre and post game shows are exactly what I need to fill in my weekly fix! Also loving the extra context from around the MLS and USMNT news. Keep going!!! Great pod. Always honest and open. Great discussion about City soccer.

There are a lot of City podcast (some are great!) currently but Ball Watching is the best of the bunch. The mixture of fun with the “5 aside” segment and game breakdowns to the betting suggestions, it’s a good time while also keeping you “in the know” about City and their opponents.

I’ve been listening since the first episode and I really want to thank Jake and Justin. This is the best all around City SC podcast hands down. Gents, you’ve got a big fan out here in Denver, CO!! Keep up the great work! Thank you so much! Go City!! Wooot!
