    So Soothing
I love listening to this show. Geoffrey has such a soothing voice, and the ambient background noise helps lull me to sleep most nights. I particularly love the stories from the falls, and trying to keep up with the adventures of the residents of the clearing.

    Where are we going tonight?
These guided tours direct me right into dreamland by way of the most relaxing bedtime stories about exotic places and extraordinary experiences. So relatable and simply comforting. Yes, I can envision the lavender fields, the California coasts, riding in a hot air balloon and more while engaging all my senses in such a calming soothing way. Imagining all the brilliant colors while deeply breathing in the various aromas of the settings, feeling the sensations of the breezes on my skin, and listening to the delicate bird songs whisks my mind away to magical places. True that I rarely get to hear the endings no matter how often I try. Thank you Geoffrey for this kind gentle podcast. Keep the stories coming. Suggestion: legend of the seal woman. She is a statue on an island somewhere. Might be worth checking it out.

Geoffrey - I enjoy your program very much. I just wonder if you could quietly introduce the episodes. You're enthusiasm is nice, but you used to come on in a more mellow way. Just a thought. - Bobbie

    Glad I Found This!
Nurse with 30+ years experience from AIDS to COVID. Disabled with Complex PTSD. Now I’ve a broken ankle and Geoffrey’s voice telling soothing stories eases me into the night. The wording of the meditations before the stories are the most helpful. Thank You for this valuable service. (Illinois, USA)

The advertisements could have fitted the theme
How you create a podcast to help people sleep then you fill it up with high pitched, upbeat, and earsplitting advertisements to wake up subscribers after putting them to sleep?

    Therian Representation!
Hello! I really love this podcast but I did notice a few things about it that caught my attention. I identify as what is called a Therian. if you don’t know, Therians are humans that were animals in their past life. Therians often times still feel feel kinda like animals. You can have what is called a theriotype with is the animal(s) that you relate to the most. Mine is a fox, so I like jumping in the snow and I eat a diet similar to a fox’s! Therians also have there things called “shifts”. Shifts are when you feel REALLY connected to your theriotype. You make sound like your theriotype and you run around on however many legs your theriotype has! I’ve noticed that there have been two episodes in this podcast so far that I feel like would represent this. There is one episode where a dog owner wakes up in his dogs body and learns to exept his new form. Therians can often feel like this because being a Therian is not a choice and when you first shift, if can feel really weird at first but you eventually end up loving it. The other episode is when Geoffrey wakes up in Otto’s body. I feel like this could be representation as well because Therians can have dreams of being their theriotype, I certainly know I have! I really appreciate the representation of this community and I thank you for including all kinds of people in your content. If by chance, these aren’t representations of Therians than I still think these two episodes are amazing and I love listening to them. Btw, if you think you might be a Therian than I highly recommend you do your own research. This essay/review is not a reliable way to know if your a Therian or not! Thank you!

    Literally listen every night
I make a playlist and listen to these stories every single night. I have headphones meant for sleeping and play this every night, occasionally I’ll play it if I’m taking a nap as well. I love the original stories of things happening around the Night Falls world, those are my favorite to listen to- the world building is so very fun and soothing. I have every one of The Falls episodes saved so I can have them play one after another while I sleep. I’ve listened to just about every episode that is available for free and I think they are well edited, however there are a handful that the editor messed up on. Things like retakes being left in or at the beginning running ads before Geoffrey has said to hear them and little things like that. I have one complaint and it’s something new that has started happening to the stories not of Night Falls. All of the episodes previously are all toned the same, one man telling a story in a soothing voice that does not waver or change cadence- which makes it easier to fall asleep to. But these last few newer episodes are different, they feel like he’s reading it as if it was an audiobook with different voices for different characters. To me it takes me out of the story and doesn’t allow me to fall asleep as quickly it’s a little jarring some of these character voices. I’ve always felt like it’s supposed to be you visiting Geoffrey by the campfire and him telling you basically a bed time story. Like I said before, it feels more like just playing an audiobook of a random story where the narrator tries doing different voices for different characters and that’s not what I’m here for. It’s not as soothing. So for now, I’ll be sticking to the episodes I know I like and will be avoiding the ones I know have these weird voices.

    Wonderful Stories
Edited to add: Thank you for being back the sleep meditation at the beginning! I’ve been listening to this podcast for over a year. I love it. So soothing and I particularly enjoy the Night Falls characters and world. But like as was said before, please bring back the meditations. I don’t fall asleep as quickly or easily without them.

    I like this story’s
The story’s are so amazing but can you have meditation before thr story
  • Kkkk4444kkkk
    Love the stories
The stories are interesting and will capture your attention. I especially enjoy the ones involving Sherlock Holmes. I must admit I play the stories more than once, as I fall asleep before the end of them. I love Geoffrey’s voice, it’s very soft and calming. If you have difficulty going to sleep you should try this podcast.
  • jesstea02
    So relaxing
The stories are always good, I end up replaying them from where I fell asleep last so I can finish them. Also soooo glad the meditation was brought back. Like I said I love the stories but I was bummed a little when they didn’t start with the meditation anymore. Now that it’s been added back as it’s own thing I can set it up to play before one of my old favorite stories or what will soon be my new favorite.

    Already asleep!
This is definitely one of my favorite podcasts! I absolutely love the calm voice of the host, the interesting but calming stories and the background sounds! If I had to say my favorite part of the show is definitely the Sherlock Holmes episodes! I would definitely suggest this show to anyone!

    My favorite!
I listen to LOTS of podcasts to stop my “monkey mind “ at night. They lull me to sleep. This is my favorite! Brings on visualizations from my own perspective and creativity to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. Nothing else like it!! Geoffrey has the most relaxing voice, so captivating and charming it sends me to a peaceful place.

    Great stories, missing an intro
I love listening to the stories they’re so relaxing and Geoffrey voice is very soothing. I agree with the other comments it’s very odd to hear the ads, then a short pause and the story starts.

    This is my favorite podcast
Geoffrey has a beautiful gentle voice and his positive outlook on life and beautiful stories are what I want to hear when I’m trying to sleep. In fact, you can listen to the same stories over again. They are like magic for me. I am always able to go to sleep listening and if I wake up, they put me right back to sleep.

This is an amazing podcast! Perfect for falling asleep or even relaxing. Great podcast

    Brilliant
I was skeptical at first, and doubted that a story time podcast could put me- a life long insomniac who struggles with a very severe anxiety & panic disorder due to CPTSD & autoimmune disease that affects and increases all of the above- into a state of peaceful relaxation & eventually sleep!!! This is a very very effective way for me to wind down and drift off into dream land. There’s clearly a formula or a type of technique that the narrator uses that i can’t quite explain but I just know that it works. Thank you so much for making this helpful and useful podcast. Please keep up the great work, you’re helping sooo many people with something SO very important. Can’t thank you enough and can’t emphasize enough how well done this podcast is. Definitely worth trying if you’re wanting to fall asleep quicker, or into a more peaceful state before & during sleep. His voice is soothing and calm, soft and comforting and very gentle. Feels like a big warn hug straight to my soul. 💖🩵

    Drug-resistant insomniac: GRATEFUL!
Off and on high-functioning insomniac. Drug-resistant as of late, which is an entirely new ballpark. Have gone through everything — was an early subscriber to “sleep with me” — and more; trust me I’ve tried it all. This is the one, for which I am so grateful — strangely, the love stories are especially effective compared to others — I can fall asleep after 2-3 listens which is a first. Thank you so much and please keep them coming.

    Night falls
I love night falls. The reading is outstanding! My favorite episode by far is ‘Th Mountains of California’. I I have listened to it over and over. I would love more like this beautiful nature description!!!!
  • Grateful new mama
Saved this sleep deprived mom with insomnia
After nine months of waking 3-6 times a night with my first baby who is a very light sleeper, I was starting to lose it! I couldn’t fall back to sleep after getting baby back to sleep - some nights I would sleep only 2 hours total. For the last 5 months, this podcast has saved me. Some nights I listen three times (after each baby wake) and it simply ALWAYS works. I am often asleep after just the first line or two of the story. My favorites are the travel stories, the modern day love stories, and the light- mystery stories like the recent cottage one. Thanks so much for your work on this podcast. I expect it’s very well researched (the music/sound, the pacing etc) since it works so well!
  • josieburak
Ads are like a shock scare
Love the pod but please put the ads at the end or do them yourself to make them sound softer bc they are way to loud and in your face.
  • magicfalls
    Love it!
I’m always asleep by the end, and congrats on 100 episodes!
