I just stumbled on this after seeing a short tik tok Andy did. I was intrigued, and really enjoyed the interview with George Conway. I liked the interview with Andy Richter a lot: can’t wait to binge more.

Listening to Harry Sisson. Andy’s questions and talking points are pretty superficial and demonstrates a lack of deeper understanding of the issues at hand.

I’ve really come to enjoy this podcast. Andy has on some really good guests and does a great job of interviewing them and driving the conversation. The only exception to this would be the Chris Matthews interview, where Chris just went on and on and on, in what seemingly was a Chris Mathews monologue.

This pod is a game changer for anyone who cares about what’s happening in the world of politics. Andy does an incredible job breaking down complex issues and presenting them in an engaging way. Ton of fun to listen to with a great mix of interesting guests to keep it as a staple of my pod rotation.

Andy Ostroy is smart, funny, witty, and a great interviewer. Everything he says I happen to agree with which makes it even more fun to listen to. It is my go-to podcast whenever he posts an episode. Keep it up, Andy!

I just listened to a lengthy in-depth interview with Ruth Ben-Ghiat, the totalitarian scholar who I follow closely regarding the Trump authoritarian phenomenon. This segment is a great example of Ostrow’s ability to get real in-depth discussion of the political and social issues facing us at this critical time in our history. Highly recommended.

Love your interview style, Andy! Great guests with good information! This is a must listen for Democracy fans! Good discussions on how and why the GOP has fallen so far down the anti-democracy, anti-decency, anti-rights, anti-facts and anti-truth rabbit hole!! There is hope because the truth will ultimately save Democracy! Fingers crossed…. Lol

This is a great podcast, trolled by extremists. Bad reviews are literally all from the same week - fury that Jewish podcasters aren’t Jew-hating. Go figure…

Heartbreaking but fantastic interview. You displayed great empathy and really listened carefully as you adjusted your questions based on her answers. I appreciate that these don’t feel like interview but rather a conversation, and you adjust your style based on what’s needed for the situation, in this case- empathy and support.

The volume is so much higher that your podcast. It’s offensive to the ears

Really enjoy this podcast but I could not finish the episode with Kara. I have listened to her over many years and remember why I stopped. She butts in and rambles on and on then says, “but you go on” so many times that I could scream. So, a resounding NO to Kara Swisher!

I look for new episodes with fingers crossed every day. It’s informative, funny, insightful, and Andy asks the questions I’d want answered. It’s my new favorite-I just wish there were more episodes per week!

Gosh Andy, you’re such an empathetic interested interviewer and you lead such fascinating conversations. You’ve done so much research and really help your subject tell their story. I really was so moved by your interview with Fred and losing his daughter Jaimie to gun violence. You share your experience but it never one ups your subject you just offer yourself like a bridge and the conversation is together. The Bob Gruen interview is Fascinating! Holy cow. I really enjoy your show. Thank you.

I recently discovered Andy’s podcast and have been bingeing all The Back Room episodes from the beginning. Yes, it helps that I completely agree with his views and find him hilarious but he does do an exceptional job interviewing many interesting people. Highly recommend.

I got directed to your show through the New Abnormal. Listened to the Rick Wilson episode; like you I became a conflicted fan of his cuz of the work he and they did with the Lincoln project. The interview was vivid and a bit scary, about the future. I then went to Stephanie Grisham, as I was interested in what she would say in retrospect, regarding that horrible presidency. When you didn’t interrupt her, I got to hear some of her perspective. Basically, I thought you were using her as kind of a straw man, rather than being interested in her answers to your questions (which I thought were appropriate). She was more polite to you than I would have been. I will try more, but you could have been a better listener with SG.
