Drunk Ethics

Courses #238

Welcome to Ethics that doesn't suck! CPA and comedian Greg Kyte teams up with MBA and comedian Adam Broud to discuss the intricacies of behavioral ethics — sociological nudges that prime people to behave more ethically or less ethically. During their lively conversations, they draw on research from psychology and economics. And they do all of this while getting progressively more and more drunk over the course of each hour-long episode.

The best ethics course I have ever had!
Most ethics courses are dull as mud and instantly forgettable. Not this one. Neuroscience proves that we learn and remember more when we are laughing. And laugh I did, as Greg and Adam got progressively more inebriated. But this isn’t just stupid drunken talking. Greg masterfully kept the discussion on track and covered aspects of ethics that aren’t usually covered in those boring ethics courses we CPAs have to take every few years. He also made this practical by relating behavioral theory to the real-world ethical dilemmas we face in our careers. If the idea behind ethics CPE is to get us to think about how we can bring more honesty, transparency, integrity, and objectivity to our work as CPAs, this course is one of the very few that actually delivers on that intention. Thank you for making me laugh while learning so much!
