Things We Got Wrong

Everyone makes mistakes. We're human. But the biggest mistake to make is not learning from things you got wrong. After over 600 episodes of The Brain Candy Podcast, Sarah Rice and Susie Meister realized their freewheeling, casual conversations didn't always get everything exactly right. And as they evolved and grew over the years and science developed, they changed their minds about a lot of things. So it's Things We Got Wrong to the rescue! This podcast is a celebration of humility, evolution, and growth, and says it's ok to make mistakes and change your mind. It's time to move forward by looking back!

    I Love S&S! šŸ§ šŸ¬
I have binged Brain Candy over the past 9 months and was sad to have final caught up with their current episodes. Two podcasts per week is generous but they have so many great topics that I found myself wishing for an extra episode. When I found this podcast, I was so happy! More Susie & Sarah and the chance to hear what they would do differently, how they perceive themselves then and how they have grown. Satisfying in every way!

Why donā€™t they both listen to the same episodes?
Really weird that they donā€™t coordinate episodes they listen to. Is it that hard to call each other beforehand to make sure youā€™ve listened to the same episodes?

    Where is the show
    Please come back!

Better than the original show now.
This show is better because the topics they talked about in the original show (in the beginning) were much more interesting than the topics they talk about now. Perhaps its because they talked about more ā€œrealā€ stories than boring ā€œstudiesā€ that are stupid. Bring back content from the beginning of the Brain Candy podcast.

One more thing to fact check Sarah
Hey Sarahā€¦. One more thing you got wrongā€¦. DIA (Denver airport) is actually in Denver. If you are going to represent Denver as a Denverite please get your Denver facts right.

Love it more than the original!
I actually love this podcast more than Brain Candy. I love when enough time has passed that you can revisit a topic critically, and ask, do I still feel the same? Did I feel differently? What has changed or evolved that would lead me to evaluate it differently at this point in my life?

    So Good!
Love the podcast and its approach. Itā€™s so cool listening to you both look back on the past and review whatā€™s changed/evolved over time. Love love love. Keep it up, ladies! P.s. Really find it hard to believe that it isnā€™t Susie singing the theme music.

    No make up gang!
Hi ladies! Love this spin off so much! Iā€™ve been a brainiac almost since the beginning. Just wanted to share that i related to the make up portion of this weeks episode so much! Before the pandemic i wore mascara and a bit of eye liner everyday. (Not like thats a lot to begin with) If for some reason I didnā€™t everyone thought i was sick or tired or having a bad day. I work on a college campus and when we reopened to students on campus i decided i LOVED not wearing any make up whatsoever so i decided i was the going to. So since Aug ā€˜21 until last week, not a day of any sort of make up. I never get comments that i look tired or having a bad day. My company had a holiday luncheon last week so i wore the little bit of make up that i used to and WOW!! I got SSSSOOOO many compliments on how good i looked because everyone i work with and see everyday had never seen me like that. So like Sarah said if no one is used to seeing you with make up then when you do itā€™s a nice surprise vs. wearing it all the time and then suddenly not! Thank you for reading ladies! Love you!

If Susie or Sarah are thereā€¦.so am I!
Any show Susie and Sarah are involved in ends up getting added into my weekly podcast listens! They are funny, witty, and educational Ps no one will ever be able to convince me that the Things We Got Wrong intro isnā€™t Susie singing

Love this pod and these women!
A double dose of Susie and Sarah?? Yes please! I adore Brain Candy and this pod is shaping up to be just as good (if not better!). I love their honestly, growth, and maturity. So much has changed in the past few years and this podcast is a good reflection of how far weā€™ve come and how far we still need to go. Keep it up ladies!

    Growth
I previously gave this series 5 stars but I want to give it 10. I just listened to the ā€œfatphobicā€ episode and it just made me smile. I love the evolution of these 2. The best apology is changed behavior and I can say these ladies are the epitome of this statement. Kudos!!! Love you both.

    Growing Pains :)
I LOVED hearing Susieā€™s short growing pains- riff. Can we have more of that?!! Iā€™ve always, always, loved Sarah since the Real World and all the Challenges. I always thoughts Sarah and I were kindred spirits. I didnā€™t remember Susie from Road Rules and wasnā€™t sure of her at first on this podcast but I have to say Iā€™ve grown so fond of her! Susie & Sarah- if you are reading this, keep doing what youā€™re doing and thank you for being you!! ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Hooray, Another dose of Susie and Sarah
Having Susie and Sarah in my life twice a week is not ever enough - and now with Things We Got Wrong, I am happy to have a 3rd! Things We Got Wrong is funny, refreshing and gives me hope for the world. I love that theyā€™re reflecting back on things they said and how their opinions (or science!) may have changed. Thank you Susie and Sarah!

    Continuing the journey!
Iā€™ve been listening to Brain Candy every week since the original showā€™s episode 11, so this spin off is super fun for me. I get to be reminded of all the original content while simultaneously witnessing how these ladies grow, laughing with them and enjoying their anecdotes. I canā€™t wait for more!

    Reflection and growth
After being here for all 600+ episodes Iā€™m excited to revisit it all. Even episode 4. The one that made me want to never come back. Iā€™m glad I did. Weā€™ve all grown together. Now we will reflect together.

I have been binging The Brain Candy Podcast for a while now. Every time I listen I either learn something or at least have a good laugh. I love Sarah and Suzieā€™s chemistry and was so excited to hear about the spin-off. Great Concept, Great Podcast
Self reflection is something everyone should embrace. BCP, leading by example.
